Great, friendly service and great drip coffee (I do more drip than espresso). A wonderful coffee shop for working and meeting. Relatively reasonable prices. A friendly barista tole me about the roasterie in verona... still hoping to visit!

Great coffee, nice snacks and ambiance too! Tried to get seating but a ton of people come here to do work/study so be ready to take it to go. Their seasonal flavors are fun and yummy, especially the Jasmine syrup which is subtle, but great with coffee! Their almond croissant is quite big, could use a little more flavor m, but their drinks are truly where they shine!

I came in here for a quick coffee on a weekday morning. Service was very kind. I won't say it was quick but it wasn't terribly slow. And I was the only drink that was being made at the time. My latte tasted good, I appreciate that, I don't think it tasted good enough to justify the price. I know Shadyside is expensive and I expect higher prices. But with the higher prices, I expect Better quality as well. This visit happened a few months ago an early spring and I have not been back since. There are a few other coffee shops in the area with better price:quality issues. On the other hand, it does look like a nice place to sit and study/work from home. Not too loud, great natural lighting.

Everything you could ask for in a coffee shop: good coffee, plenty of space/tables, outlets, bathroom, good wifi. The peppermint mocha is my favorite drink here: a good balance of cocoa, coffee, and mint. The chorizo breakfast sandwich (in the fridges and they warm it up for you) is surprisingly good and filling. This place is very conducive to working and I often study here. :)

This coffee shop was decent! The latte wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't the best I've had. I tried the apple muffin because it was vegan, but it wasn't good. It was a bit dry and you could barely taste the apple. The vibe of the coffee shop seemed cool though and it'd definitely be a great place to do some work. The workers here were very nice though!

Mechanic Coffee Company is a great coffee spot in Shadyside. The vibes are super chill and the staff is friendly. They have about a dozen small tables for two. At the counter, there's a small but tempting selection of baked goods, plus some grab-and-go sandwiches, burritos, and refrigerated drinks. I ordered my usual iced London fog with almond milk (flavored with vanilla syrup). It only took a few minutes to steep. While waiting, I enjoyed my chocolate-drizzled scone. Easy metered parking across the street makes it reasonably convenient. Overall, a solid spot for a relaxed coffee break or a quick stop before work!

I love the location of this coffee shop. I like to come here while I do my laundry. It provides a nice little third place and the staff are always nice. The coffee is good and I love that they constantly have new specials.

Matcha Latte with special touch from the barista!

Adorable little coffee/tea place in Verona with friendly staff. Stopped by after browsing at E.N. Miller Antique Mall and had a matcha latte and a London Fog. We sat outside in the sun and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks.

I stopped by on Sunday afternoon with a friend around 1pm. We had no trouble finding seating and were able to order right away. I will note, when I asked for my croissant to be heated they said that they only had a toaster and panini press so they put my croissant in the panini press. It came out a little smushed but still delicious. It was a fairly quiet coffee shop with chill vibes. There was always people there but it was never noisy or overwhelming.

It has a roastery, bakery, and several cafes in Southwestern Pennsylvania, and it provides training and equipment to other businesses. My husband and I were customers of this cafe in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood one time. The menu listed coffees, espressos, lattes, teas, hot cocoa, cookies, muffins, scones, sandwiches, etcetera. A refrigerator contained yogurts, juices, oat milk, and other bottled beverages. Shelves held bags of coffees and kettles. Employees kindly took my husband's order and payment and promptly made our beverages. Some tables and chairs were inside the cafe, so we sat down to enjoy our beverages. Other customers were using the dining area to read, spend time with family and friends, and work on laptops. I rate the Chai Latte has 5 stars and the holiday Sugar Plum Latte as 4.5 stars. We enjoyed their flavors. Each beverage was 12 ounces, and their total price was $11 plus tax and tip. I did notice that the cafe was very humid because of the cold weather outside and the many customers inside. The windows had much condensation. I wonder if a dehumidifer would reduce the indoor humidity.

One note is, I think they have a wifi limit where only a certain number of people can connect. I tried all night to get a connection and could not for any of my devices, nor could my friend. Overall the ambiance is catered toward chatting rather than studying as the tables are very small and slow or no wifi. I like the night vibes it has though, we need more late night 3rd spaces like this one!! I got a hummus plate and ginger tea. The ginger tea was just okay. The ginger was overpowering in not a good way. It highlighted the spiciness of ginger without letting any type of "tea flavor" through. It tasted more like ginger water. For a tea house, I thought it would have more depth. The hummus platter was very yummy! The pita was warm and the olive oil on the hummus added a nice touch to it. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more had the tables not been as wobbly, the WiFi worked at any point, the tea had a bit more nuance to it, and the cloying smell wasn't there. It is a very good chatting spot for late night meetings ups with great food!

I honestly have not been in the area much lately and was surprised to see its prime location on South Highland in that East Liberty, Shadyside and Friendship corridor. The inside of the shop was packed by the time we got inside so I did not get to see much of it other than the coffee bar and the large selection of baked goods. For my coffee this morning I went with a butter beer cold brew while my wife went with an iced Almond Joy latte. The menu described mine as cold brew with butterscotch syrup and cheesecake sweet cream. My wife's was described as just like the candy bar with dark chocolate and coconut topped with coconut flakes. My coffee actually ended up tasting pretty good. The butterscotch tasted somewhat similar to caramel but the cold brew was definitely the star. It was rich and strong which I always appreciate. The cheesecake sweet cream was also a nice addition as it was sweet like you would expect but also had a bit of tartness that reminded me of actual cheesecake. My wife also enjoyed her coffee and especially liked the combination of chocolate, coconut and coffee flavors. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed our drinks and I would definitely be interested in trying some of the pastries next time.
