Got ran down in the parking lot by our server when we were trying to have a conversation with our friend, she accused us of not paying our bill when we had exchanged the checkbook with her, and left her a generous tip. The service was very slow, and the food was horrible. I had a catfish basket and the catfish was pre-breaded as in it was purchased breaded and frozen. It was actually nasty. Do not get the catfish. Service was good, and the place is nice, clean, and has a good vibe. The desserts at the entrance look so good--you want to try everything. The only downside for me was the coffee; it tasted kind of watery. That's why I'm giving it three stars. The food overall has good flavor though. read more

Nice place, good down home style food, nice environment, friendly waitress. Prices are reasonable for the offerings. Clean & smelled decent inside. MINOR things noticed when I were there. Only 1 cook in the semi open kitchen that I could see, he was hustling so did take a bit to get my food. Maybe the other cooks were taking breaks. Who knows. Never had a burger on Texas toast before. New one on me. Tasted good though. Parking lot on the east side could more clearly marked as to who's is who's since Dollar Store is right there behind the place & so is QT. Better than IHOP or Jimmy's Egg which is right down the road. A whole lot BETTER than Denny's BY FAR. Be great if they were open 24/7. This was my first time eating food from the Delano Diner and I was extremely pleased. I ordered the food via Doordash. Since it was early in the day I ordered from the breakfast menu. I ordered biscuits and gravy, pancakes, hash browns and the air capital omelette. All the menu items were delicious, but I want of the items I ordered I highly recommended the air capitol omelette, hash browns and the pancakes. The omelette was stuffed with lots of delicious fillings and the pancake was infused with syrup. I was very pleased with my order and I will definitely order from the Delano Diner again. read more

Love their food! So delicious. Whenever I'm out and craving breakfast, I come here. I'm a huge fan of their mozzarella sticks, like I order them every time. They are always perfect. Usually I order breakfast, but I have tried their corn beef sandwich which was awesome. The menu is super tempting and I want to try more of their dinners. All the delicious breakfast is perfection. Highly highly recommend if you like great pancakes, awesome French toast, perfect hash browns, savory meats, omelette's, so on. Can you tell how much I love their food? Delanos diner has good food but a bit overpriced on everything. The food was fine and we had a piece of cake each for dessert, which was a mistake since they give you a quarter of a piece of cake at a higher price. The server was more interested in talking to the cook than keeping track of her tables. The food and dessert tasted like it was from Sysco. read more

This is the second time my wife and I had breakfast at this restaurant. The first time was several years ago and the food wasn't great then and I just found out that nothing has improved. How can a restaurant screw up a breakfast? I ordered the waffle combo and the waffles were a joke. They tasted like they were just warmed up from prepared frozen waffles. My wife asked for a take home box for what was left over, but the waitress never brought one to the table. The food is way over priced for what you get. This restaurant is now permanently banned from our list. So in the future breakfast will be at Livingston's restaurant. read more

Stopped by Delano's today for the first time as we are on our way back to Kansas City. It has that old diner charm. Bakery case filled with delicious looking pies. The waitress didn't engage much but she was friendly enough. Ordered a chicken strip kids meal, and my daughter seemed to enjoy. My son devoured his pancake meal. I loved the hash browns, and the flavor of the pancakes, they were thick , and soft, but wasn't a fan of the bacon. We ordered the Gouda Mac and cheese bites. The flavor was delicious, but keep in mind it's $8.00 and you get 8 small little bites. I felt like everything else you get your money's worth, but not with the bites. If I could give 0 stars I would I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a Cesar salad I cut the chicken fried steak in half to find a raw pink center!!!!Then I opened my salad to find welted brown lettuce!!!! The food looked disgusting and ended up just throwing the whole meal away I called the restaurant and the offered to mail me a coupon for free meal which I declined so they said they would contact Grubhub to issue me a refund but wasn't really that apologetic.
