The practice needs better communication! A couple of situations have occurred. Today, I called to see would it be possible to have an earlier appt with Dr. I gave my name, birthday I was asked for address & phone number. Then she asked for insurance. Gave her first & then secondary insurances. I was then asked for policy number of insurance. The dr had done a procedure in January and I had called the office before with all my information. I asked her do you not have that information in front of you because I have given it to you before. Yes, I do but I have to asked. IS US Digestive Health so afraid of not getting PAID!!!!! YOUR STAFF IS ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT & RUDE!! I was on hold for 20 min. She was not going to move forward & check if I could possibly have an appointment before April 13th. The procedure was fine. Billing is horrible. They are rude and have no patience. I have never met a more entitled business in my life. They do not care about the customers experience. They need a competitor in the area to put them out of business. They do not send anything and just assume you know how much to pay, where to pay, and when. When you call, they tell you they did send out notices and must have been lost in the mail. This happened 2 times to me now for different procedures in the last 3 years. Both times, the same exact thing. First notice to pay was from a creditor they sent my account to, again, without any notice to me. BE AWARE!!! Look up other reviews. It's not just me. it would seem they took the cancelation of my appointment, hard, it would seem as they took my medical information, I gave them when I ask for a appointment, but they cancelled due to the doctor choosing to do surgeries that day and bill for medical care I never received, I have NEVER been to one of the DCDC offices but I received in the mail a EOB from my insurance company that they paid a claim??? for receiving Anesthesia?????? The doctor's office, for some unknown reason to me or the insurance carrier, decided to change where my procedure was being done. There was no communication about this change until they discovered that my insurance would no longer cover the procedure. This Insurance requirement is known, yet they wonder why they continue to have billing issues with this one carrier (at least). So, instead of being covered, I'm not out over $3000 in insurance fees. There is nothing special about the doctors either. The ones I spoke to could care less about the patient. They are just looking to find more procedures they can talk you into. read more

Very bad people, they gave an appt. I thought it is a consulting appt. But they want to perform procedure on me! When I declined, they billed me for No show fee! Then they send debt collection agency on me. I paid to keep my credit score intact. Bad business! read more

Avoid this office at all cost, very profit driven and push medications and procedures on patients. One of their doctors threatened me to take a medication I did not feel safe doing so. They attempted ti withhold medical records from me if I did not comply. Look for an office with actual morals and integrity. read more

Good luck even reaching the office by phone. Never ending hold times and choices that don't fit all situations. Demonstrates lack of respect for the time of their patients. I chose what I thought was the best option for a call back, they called me back over an hour later to transfer me to a different person. Then cycle began again. Endless hold time, no idea which selection was the right one. I never got through. read more

No issues with the doctor, but from the PA to staff - not so much. PCM requested a "non-routine" colonoscopy (kind of urgent, needed one ASAP to see what's going on - not normal stuff happening), I get scheduled for a routine colonoscopy - MONTHS after seeing the PA. Thanks folks! read more

This company refuses to accept payment at time of services rendered. This may lead to an unexpected bill if your insurance changes. It is very disappointing that their policies are so contrary to what I expect as good customer service. read more

Dr. Meyerson cares about his patients. No issues with the doctors - but the overall experience is a negative because their billing office has terrible customer service and terrible communication. I am on a limited income, so I asked them about Financial Assistance. I only asked if the amount due could be lowered. I was told to send over some pay statements and address them to Abby, who works in their billing dept. I never heard back from Abby, and was never able to reach her. Any time I called the billing office I always got people that were audibly apathetic to me and wanted to get me off the phone as soon as possible. I even wrote a follow up letter asking what the results were, gave all of my contact information again, and got no calls or letters back from anyone. This business, while having seemingly good doctors, only cares about money, not about their patient's overall experience and Financial well-being. I do not recommend. Find another GI doctor, and negotiate the bill ahead of time, if possible. I bet this negative review will cost them much more than knocking a couple hundred bucks off my bill! After discovering that their "special" prep kit was incomplete and finding myself unable to prep for my procedure I called, on the day before the procedure, to cancel. Subsequently I received a bill for $100 because I didn't give there 72 hours notice. They screwed up the test kit. Because of that I was unable to prep on the day before the procedure. And they want $100 for not giving them 72 hours notice? Is this nuts or did I miss something? I gave them 1 star because I couldn't give them NO STARS. read more

This place mixed up my biopsy and wanted to repeat it again then coded the procedure wrong. Refused to change it and through a sneaky loop hole sock me with a huge deductible. Wasted my time, put my health at risk and laughed all the way to the bank. read more

The doctor (Corso) I dealt with is fine, but there is utter incompetence in their claims/billing departments. They failed to provide my insurance company with the required documentation to process the claim, so my insurer, understandably, denied the claim and requested the information they needed. I have reached out to their office and failed to be connected with anyone who could even address the issue. The practice has continued to fail to provide the necessary supporting documentation, and they are now attempting to bill me for the full amount of a procedure. Avoid at all costs. UPDATE 11/18/22: I have been in touch with my health insurance company and they have actually been trying to be helpful and get the info they need from the provider. However, I just received a message from them saying that they, too, have not been able to get anyone from this office to return their calls. Again, DO NOT GO HERE. You will be at risk of being billed for services which your insurance should cover if they would only take the trouble to properly submit and document the claim. read more

Beware rip offs! I had a hemorrhoid problem and found this local in-network gastroenterology office. Before making my appointment, I was told a doctor will take a look at the problem area, if not fitting for a small 60 seconds procedure, I'll at least receive a prescription to ease the discomfort. However, in the office visit, I didn't receive any of those. Instead, the doctor and his assistant signed me up for an $1800 endoscopy (both upper and lower). Two days later, I cancelled that appointment. Now, I rec'd a bill of $280 for that visit after insurance paid their part. According to my insurance company, the minimum new patient visit costs less than $95, the most complex new patient visit cost around $400. I called in and the doctor agreed to change to another code for less complexity visit (hence, less charge on my side) but the billing department disagree to change the code. Although I liked the doctor, the practice does not have "highly trained professionals" in their billing department. As advertised on their site they do call for your out of pocket expenses so you don't receive an unexpected bill but, you will receive the unexpected bill three times the amount of what you already paid. I was passed around from employee to supervisors who mostly were rude and unwilling to work with me regarding this issue. The outcome they finally presented to me was only about 10% less than what I was billed due to their mistake which was very disheartening. Be careful of this facility. They don't take care with your personal information. They don't call you back in a timely manner. My information was faxed 4 times by my doctors office and when I call, I am told nonsense. First impressions are very disappointing. There are other facilities. read more
