Went in a couple of weeks ago for a check engine light on and to have my tires rotated. Left with a rather hefty quote for new catalytic converter and sensors. A week later check engine light comes on again and is flashing this time. Also, I had been hearing a subtle thumping sound that matches my speed. Took it to another place nearby and they thought the catalytic converter was fine and figured out that the thumping sound was 3 loose lug nuts! We were surprised because I had this same thing happen 3-4 years ago just after getting a set of new tires from DE Tire Center. We even found a lug nut on the driveway after a big snow melted a few months after my new tires were put on. I will not be going here again! read more

First time customer here and last time customer. I was looking for a place that could take a walk in and they could. They specifically said first come first serve, im okay with that. I took my gf's Audi 2009 A5 there for a OIL CHANGE and ALIGNMENT. They said it would be a hour, I said, 'great ill wait no problem'. Needless to say I waited in that waiting room for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Several people came in and waited and where done before me. This made me think do they know how to work on Audi's. Well, i sat there and wait finally it was done after 2 hours and 45 minutes. I actually saw the mechanic that took the car so i saw when he came in and laid the keyed on the counter. I mention this because i wasnt even called up until about 10 minutes after the fact because they were to busy answering their phone!!! Finally I go up there and they say, 'oh the audi right'. I look over the paper work and pay then realize WTH is the alignment. Guy says oh 'we forgot that, sorry ill put it right back in. It should only take about 45 minutes.' I was furious! I called my gf she picked me up and i told them ill pick it up. They call me on my cell a hour later telling me its done. HORRIBLE SERVICE - totally incompetent and unprofessional. No CONSIDERATION for waiting customers. And cost as much as AUDI so much for low prices for small businesses. read more

Before I begin - I will say all has since been resolved. Although, I will no longer be a customer and want to share my experience. I discovered a nail in my tire nearby the location so I drove there to have them take a look at it. From experience, I know that tire places can easily inspect a tire without taking it off the car. Anyway, the nail, more like a thumb tac, never actually punctured the tire. It stuck in only a few millimeters and was simply taken out. However, this place felt the need to floor jack it up and take the wheel off the car to make this discovery. In addition, the guy who worked on my car did not jack it up using the rail underneath where it is supposed to be. Instead, he jacked it up only on the rocker panel on the side of the car. Thus, causing over a thousand dollars worth of damage to my car. I immediately called the tire place to report what I saw once I noticed the damage at home. I was told to bring the car in the following morning to have the manager look at it, which I did. The manager acknowledged the damage and informed me to go get estimates from their recommended place and whomever I decided. The place I decided ended up being cheaper than the place they recommended and I informed them I will expect the payment as soon as possible to begin working on the car. Responding to this, the manager then points out to me that the guy working on the car has been employed by the place for 20+ years, and he basically gave me the run around as if they did not cause the damage. After a long and nasty conversation, I finally got the place to file a claim. Overall, the professionalism of the place and overall quality of the work was inferior and I will not be returning. In addition, while waiting for my car to be finished, a different worker there brought out another customer's high end luxury car and curbed the front of it right in front of me. Once he realized he curbed it, he backed it up and walked away like nothing happened. I also know of a few other people who have had their vehicles/ wheels damaged at this place. I have had cars for over 30 years now and I won't take my car anywhere else for service. This place knows what they're doing. They are honest and friendly and even offer me rides to places while my car is being worked on!!! Prices are very fair and they seem to always have a special running on tires. The last set of tires I purchased from them lasted about 70,000 miles. Do yourself a favor and try these guys first. It's hard to find an honest mechanic but this family run business seems to be full of them. read more

I took my beloved Subaru here for four new Michelins and had a great experience. They provided timely email communication, carried a good selection of tires and prices for my vehicle, answered my questions, followed my requests, and completed the work on the day it was scheduled. Upon inspection the tires were mounted, balanced, inflated and tightened properly. I found the associates knowledgeable and friendly and, though I rarely take my vehicle anywhere unless it's a problem I can't fix myself, I would gladly return to Delaware Tire. read more

Service is ok at best. I have never been inside of the Delaware Tire Center and seen any of their workers smile. I had some basic car work done here a few weeks ago and it was more expensive than other tire places I have had work done. The best part about this place is the food trailer in the parking lot that serves sandwiches. Food is great and if anything else it gives me something to do while I wait for my car to be serviced... read more

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff at Delaware Tire Center. They ordered the tire that a needed-at a very low price-and it was in the next day! When I brought my car in, they changed the tire and had the spare stowed and everything ready to go in less than 30 minutes! They even offered my children free beach balls that entertained them while we waited! Thank you for being so thoughtful and speedy! They do okay service when you can get in. I made an appointment to have my car looked at on a Saturday. I had a certain time to be there - my appointment was on the books. When I showed up, they told me they were running behind and the it could be over a two hour wait. Not sure what the point of making appointments for people if you can't keep them. The person at the front desk, compared there work to a doctor's! REALLY?!? They said that if the doctor had an emergency and was running late because of surgery, I would need to wait. And they said this is basically the same thing. Sorry, I disagree. Knowing many doctors personally and knowing the education they went through - it doesn't compare to an auto shop. They also said someone didn't show up for work and that put them behind, too. Very disappointed. Another night I called and was told I would have to wait. I waited so long, a pre-recorded message said that the call was going to be disconnected. The call was disconnected. I never even spoke to anyone. I called back immediatley and did get someone who told me that they were the only person at the front desk and there is a line out the door and 3 other phone lines are on hold. Basically, it was not a good time to bring my business into the shop. Sounds like they need more people to work the front desk and more "doctors" in the garage. Just sayin.... read more
