I highly recommend this shop…read more Went here for a muffler replacement on my old minivan. When I went in I was greeted in less than a minute by Steven the assistant manager. The shop was full and busy but had an open bay. My car was driven right in and put up on the lift. Within 10 minutes I had a quote and results of their inspection. The quote was higher than I wanted to pay so Steven called around and came up with an economy replacement (vs OEM spec) that met my budget. They inspected brakes, ball joints, tie rods and seals. The only item that needed attention was a seal on the rear axle. He brought it to my attention and said that they wouldn't be able to fix it today but I could schedule an appointment or if I chose to could take it someplace else. No pressure, just good advice. I decided to have the muffler replaced and while sitting in the waiting area observed several customers come in, most of which were not at all savvy with regard to automobile service. Steven waited on each and I watched as he provided clear and competent answers regarding each recommendation that was made. He treated everyone with respect. At no time did he BS anyone nor did he push them to buy anything. One older man came in for an oil change and they noticed a nail in one tire and brakes that needed to be replaced on the passenger front side. They took care of the tire repair no charge and provided the man with a very reasonable price on the brake pads and rotors. Within 20 mins the parts were delivered during which time the oil change was completed. When the parts arrived the tech went right to work on the brakes. Shops like this are hard to find. Honest service at quite reasonable cost. I would be comfortable with my wife, daughter or aging mother going to this shop without concern for them being taken advantage of.

The Midas team completed several projects on my car - oil change, tire change, door handle replacement, tire rod repair, etc. I've been trusting the team with my car since I realized how much they truly care about the people they work with. Abbey, the manager, is extremely pleasant and friendly. She resolved problems quickly and was extremely attentive. 5/5 recommended for service, quality, and efficiency.

Without a doubt, they are who you should turn to when anything on our vehicles has a "boo-boo". They are the preeminent supplier of tires for fleets, tune-ups (for Newark & Dover Delaware & Salisbury Maryland), and any suspension issues like caster, camber, toe angles. They are experts in CV joints, axles, drive trains, wheel bearings, brakes, etc. For example: I needed a tire for my girl friend's GMC Envoy. They checked it and said the other side was pretty worn so I looked and agreed. They suggested putting the new tires on the rear (and patiently explained the science to do so). Looking at my rear tires, we discovered that they also were worn beyond all hope. I decided to get 4 new tires (at a price I anticipated for just 2). I left while they were in process and shortly got a call from Tom the Newark manager. He asked if I wanted to go through with the purchase given that there were so many issues needing attending to (there's integrity). The list included rear seal motor leakage, front seal leakage, front wheel differential leakage (in both the left side and the rear), driver side front tire CV joint boot ruptured and axel bearing shot, pitman arm and idler arm loose/worn Mounting Brackets, Bushings, Bolts and Nuts, Washers, and Spacers (for proper alignment gaps), and a host of other suspension issues. Immediately listed the issues and sold the vehicle. I am a super satisfied customer of many vehicles. Note: I live in a very hilly area in Landenberg and use 4-wheel in the winter. Never had an issue getting through for decades now with the incredible grip/wear tread of the many sets of tires for the many different vehicles I have owned (and my dear sweet wife when she was here on this planet). I confess to a bunch of off-roading too. (When you absolutely want to test BF Goodrich tires: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQeIjeHwFms)

Repair estimate was over-the-top, the manager said he had no control over the pricing and to his credit, tried to give me a modest discount. I spent over $600 for a repair that I later learned from another Meineke shop should have cost $150 tops. The repair didn't take, and the other Meineke shop replaced/fixed it for free, they felt so bad that I had been ripped off. I'm guessing that when they see an older, single woman come in, that's a signal to take advantage of her. I was charged $475 by the Ogletown shop just for the part that should have been 60-75 dollars. I called the toll-free number for Meineke at least 4 times. Each time, they took the info all over again and promised someone would get back to me. Never happened. FOUR TIMES. I finally contacted the BBB and they were useless. This (and other forums, I hope) is my chance to tell people to never go to this place. Note: There seems to be no way to reach the higher-ups at Meineke. If you call the Customer Service number, good luck. They will not follow through.
