Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I purchased a carton of eggs from this deli, and when I got home and removed the wrapping, several of the eggs were broken. I drove all the way back to the store with my baby in my arms to return them. Instead of simply replacing the eggs, the female manager was extremely rude and had me stand there for about 20 minutes holding my baby while she reviewed security cameras to determine whether the eggs were already cracked. What stood out most was how rude and condescending her demeanor was toward me throughout the entire interaction. She was smirking and speaking to me in a very dismissive and disrespectful way. All of this over a carton of eggs. I have spent a significant amount of money at this deli over the years and have recommended their premade food to many friends and family members. The way I was treated was both disrespectful and embarrassing. I have never experienced such poor customer service. After this experience, I will not be returning. read more

Really amazing Polish European grocery store, they have huge variety of deli, meats, and others. Lots of their ready-to-eat foods will make your mouth waters. They have lots of homemade breads, baked goods, and other pastry foods. Their staff are so friendly and helpful, all of them are so willing to assist their customers, make them satisfy, and to make sure that they will go back again because of their best service. I really love this place, I usually go and stop by here because I really amaze with their produce, and I always take the chance to buy some of their items. This is probably the best grocery store I have ever been, I am so happy this store exist, they have all the things I need, especially they have things that lots of people might love. I had a wonderful shopping experience here this evening and found almost everything I wanted except for potato pancakes. The deli clerk told me they ran out of it earlier today; but it is New Year's eve and I'm sure everyone came here early in the morning and bought a lot of deli items. I found the store to be clean, well stocked and organized. I bought polish sausage, pierogis, grapes, European chocolates and many other well priced items like cheese and yogurt. There was a huge array of Polish candies, baked goods and chocolate all very reasonably priced. On Wednesday they offer discounts so I'd advise the public to come here early in the day especially if you are seeking specialty deli items. There is a lot of fresh produce here all beautifully displayed and priced to sell. I'll definitely come back here because I love the selection and the bakery is very tempting! read more

Nice organized small Polish supermarket. Prices are little bit higher than in the other Polish grocery stores. This location is a gam! Very clean and well stocked. All the cashiers are young and friendly. Nice spot to get your fresh bakery daily. Managers here need to be more polite with their employees. read more

LOVE this place!! I got the REAL 1/2 pound of fresh roasted turkey (the Thanksgiving kind!), pound of mashed potato and fresh handmade pierogis (I saw the ladies making them on site). Absolute delish, a genuine commitment to quality and an avoidance of fake, processed junk. Finally, they have French baguettes (made on site) and a row of various European butters. The reviews of most Eastern Euro businesses contain similar comments of "rude" "unhelpful" and "snarky" (not really, I just like that word). My visit to this location was quite pleasant. I don't speak Polish and definitely look like an outsider, but everyone was very friendly and helpful. I encountered other curious non-Polish shoppers from the neighborhood having a look around as well. I consider this store one of those good stores when it comes to international products. I've been to this location a few times, and I've observed a lot of things. First, the store is always clean and bright. The floor and the aisle are always clean, and the whole store is always well-lit. Second, it is organized, like everything is placed properly, and it is easy to look around and find the products I wanted. Lastly, and most importantly, are the store's products and grocery items. The store has everything when it comes to Polish and European grocery items. The produce in this store is fresh and of good quality, as is their meat selection. I also highly recommend this grocery store if you want the freshest and best cuts of meat. Aside from that, they also have a lovely selection of fresh and delicious pastries. I also particularly like their selection of cheese, wherein the specific brands and kinds of cheese are available in a lot of choices too. The catered food was excellent once again! My family really enjoys Polish food for certain occasions like family birthdays. The food was just great. It was ready when requested, hot, and really delicious! We ordered beef roll ups, chicken meatballs in dill sauce and salmon with vegetables. When I went inside I noticed some customers are too close to you-- there needs to be signs, to keep a distance. I started shopping here last year, and went today and was not too happy. Clean store, well organized. I do like the variation in the deli and cold soup. I do like the produce and bakery selection. I was at the bakery today the young lady, who spoke English was helping me. The older customer came and asked her questions, the older customer interrupted me. While clearly she was being helped by another woman in bakery, which was very rude. I don't know if this is a cultural thing, it is unacceptable. Her time and my time to shop are both important. We both are Shoppers. There should be signs stating English help needed. Happy customers are return customers. I have worked in customer service jobs, working with the public before, and Know this to be True. Wow... I stopped in here yesterday for the first time and it's Fat Girl Heaven! The delicious smells knock you out the minute you walk in the door. I didn't even know where to start. It's not a huge place and it's not a big grocery store or anything. I would say it's a combination of Andy's Deli on Milwaukee and Rich's Food & Liquor on Harlem & Gunnison. I got some of the hot prepared food (chicken cutlets, cabbage rolls, and pierogi) and all of it was EXCELLENT. I also got a loaf of fresh bakery bread that I ate almost the whole thing because it was quite possibly the best bread I've ever had in my life. This is a great place to stop on your way home from work and pick up a delicious hot dinner. Everything is super fresh and homemade. The store is immaculately clean and all the employees are really friendly. If you don't speak Polish, no problem... they all speak English! I spent $15 and got cabbage rolls, pierogi, chicken cutlets, bread, and paczkis, enough for 3 people to eat. You can't beat those prices for fresh delicious food! read more

I went in here to get this special sausage...tarnowska sausage. The sausage is great. I love it. However, I am not polish. I started asking about other things and the guys behind the deli counter started laughing at me. I felt like an idiot. It really, really pisses me off when you try to patronize a place for the first time, don't speak the language, and you get laughed at. To top it off, they start speaking in polish in front of me, clearly about me, then ask if I want anything else. It is too bad. I really like what I bought and will think twice about going there again to try new things. The owners really need to sit down with these immature boys and talk to them. read more

They have a pretty good selection of groceries. They also have a deli and hot foods. I bought some very delicious soups. My favorite was the borscht. It was really delicious. The label didn't mention meat, just spices and veggies but it had chunks of beef in it. This is obviously important for those who don't eat meat. I enjoyed it immensely. Went in here with a co-worker who happens to be of Polish descent and also speaks the language, which I do not. I thought the young man who waited on me at the deli was being nice - I had questions about the different kinds of sausage. However, after we left, my co-worker informed me that the young man and his co-worker were making fun of me and saying some really rude things. Really? This is my favorite Polish store in Chicago. The selection of Polish products is incredible. Their deli meats are yummy, their pre-cooked dinners are great for an instant dinner. The turnover rate on their products is so fast that most of food gets sold the day it is placed on the shelf. Avoid rush hour 5pm-8pm if you don't want to stuck in long line. read more
