The hours posted online and on the door says they close at 8 PM. There is a paper taped to the window saying they close at 7 today which is fine. Arrived at 6:15 and placed my order for dine in and was reminded that they close at 7, I sat down waiting for the order to be made. Then was told again that they close at seven I still had 45 minutes to enjoy my meal. They bagged it up to go and then asked me to move to the other side of the dining hall where it was extremely crowded and there was a line out the door. Deli Delicious has two of my favorite sandwiches and their beer battered fries are unreal. If I could give zero stars I would. Went for our daughter's birthday dinner...wanted a sandwich to ring in her 16th birthday. The entire time we ordered, after every sandwich, the guy would ask "Is that all?" After we get through our order, we all sit down and wait for our food. They call out our name and all our food is packaged to-go. When we sit back down the guy tells us they're actually not open for dine-in. Nowhere is it posted nor did he say that when we ordered. So we pack up and head home. Only to discover when we get home that the ONE sandwich that matters, the birthday girl's, is NOT in the bag! The three baskets of fries that we ordered were barely enough to feed 4 people...On top of that, when we call to tell them and get her sandwich, they don't answer. So my husband drives down there and finds a dark, CLOSED shop. Nowhere is it posted that they close at 7:00. In fact, on the door it says open until 8:00. What use to be a great place to get a good sandwich has now become a poorly run, zero customer service shop that makes a skimpy sandwich. I got a medium which to me size wise was maybe 9 to 10 inches. But they pile on the meat and cheese! And the medium was $8.70. So a little more than subway but quantity and quality it far surpasses subway. They also have fries! Love love love this. They had sweet potato, regular and curly. Delicious! I've been to several Deli delicious locations and they have all been consistent...until tonight's visit to the Atwater location. We came in 40 minutes before closing and the lights were dimmed and the chairs were on top of the tables...obviously the two ladies working wanted to go home. When I placed our order I asked for no mayo and cheddar cheese on my sandwich. Ever get the feeling that your order is going to be wrong? Yeah I felt that. Sure enough our sandwiches were delivered to our table and mine had provolone cheese and mayo on it. I kindly went to the register and asked if my sandwhich could be remade. What was returned to me was a French dip with the provolone half removed and slices of cold American cheese slopped on it. I was not about to return the sandwich again and risk a side of spitball.
