They usually taken at least an hour to get here and there are only 10 minutes away. but they do seem to usually follow instructions for substitutions, etc. I don't recommend the pastrami meat it's very rubbery not good quality hash browns were quite dry. I just ate at Deli Zone at 2900 Valmont road and it was delicious. I ordered the Brooklyn bomb which is basically like a turkey, cheese, and veggie, grilled and chopped up like a philly steak. Love this place, food is bomb, and fills you up. They are still rocking and rolling even with the corona virus...thank god. read more

Deli Zone obviously is Hell Zone if you are trying to stay under 4000 calories for the day. But, the breakfast sandwiches are monstrously good, so it's worth it every once and a while. Some people don't like the attitude of the employees, but I like the psuedo no-nonsense New Yorkness - makes you feel like your at the corner of Broadway and 80th. Every time I order from these guys they are super nice and willing to help a girl out. One time I was super hungover, couldn't think due to hunger, and the only thing I could think of was Deli Zone. I think I said something like "I'm super hungover, super hungry, and can't think. Please, just bring me something!" And they did, and it was good! Last night we called and by boyfriend asked if they would be willing to also bring us ice, as we are out and our car is dead. And they did! And it was good. We got the F train and the 42nd Street. This is the second Deli Zone that I have ever been to. I had previously been to their store in Longmont and the food there was incredible. As I was in Boulder, I stopped by for lunch here at Deli Zone. When I had arrived, the line was out the door and the place seemed packed and ready to explode! My wait was very short as I noticed the workers behind the counter were working very quickly and there were constantly smiling and asking about everyone's day during their wait. I ordered the Gangster sandwich and it was everything I had hoped for. The sandwich was delicious and the bustling atmosphere was surprisingly comfortable. Everyone seemed happy and very content with their food. They had more sides and menu options than I think I'll ever be able to try, but I'm definitely hoping to try one of everything! The workers there were very kind and smiled the entire time I was there. I can honestly say this is one of the best experiences I have ever had in food service. I would have to say that Deli Zone on Valmont has the worst service and rude people I have ever encountered at ANY restaurant. It seems like they hire the most rude New Yorkers they can find. Not to mention I found a long black hair in a breakfast burrito that I cut in half. I called and they basically told me to pound sand. I will never eat there, or recommend anyone eat there ever. Yes it is a chain. But I would say the veggie options are pretty decent, as well as the breakfast, though I have had the argument with certain people that I don't like at all, and so consequently had to oppose their view. Quite a good Philly cheesesteak, decent reuben although the quality varies depending on who's behind the counter. Their Monday and Friday chowders are excellent, but all the other soups during the week are NOT housemade. (And they'll tell you that.) Ordered delivery for three people on Tuesday. Waited over an hour and food never showed up. Called and they said they didn't get the order. Very good subs but the place needs major cleaning. The floors are dirty, the counters are dirty, the handle on the front door hasn't been cleaned since Colorado became a state. There are cob webs and grime built up just about everywhere you look. read more

I have no idea how this restaurant has a 4-star rating, but I believed it and decided to take a chance by ordering from them. Never again! I live half a mile from the shop. Most of the time, delivery places in Boulder deliver food within 30-40 minutes. After an hour, I called the store and the manager told me that the food would be here in 5-10 minutes an that the delivery guy had just left. Another 30 minutes went by (keep in mind, we'd been waiting 90 minuets at this point) and still no food. I called again and the guy said he didn't know what to tell me, the delivery man had left and that our food should have been there. Not once did he apologize or offer to comp the meal in any way. He said he didn't know what to do. Finally, he said he would contact the delivery driver. Another 10 minutes, and the food finally arrived. Our hot subs were smashed and cold. They were on the wrong type of bread. Also, the drink we had ordered had spilled all over the sides of the cup, so it was sticky, and wet. To top it all off? No straw. Again, the customer service was TERRIBLE for delivery. Maybe eating inside the restaurant is fine, but I'll never chance it after our experience tonight. read more

Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches today. Asked for grilled onions, they leaned to not cooked enough. Asked for provolone, got runny yellow american, They forgot to add bacon, added it after they cut the sandwich so when I pulled the halves apart the strips of bacon came out with only one side. Not sure but Dude working the register had on latex gloves and was handling money. Not sure if he changed them when he went back to sandwich making. Something to watch. Deli Zone is usually pretty good, but I mostly get cold subs. I used to get the hot subs, but they are very hit or miss depending on the person making them. Staff is usually friendly though, which you is not the case at a lot of similar places. Overall, I would recommend Deli Zone so you can at least form your own opinion. read more

The subs we ordered were very good. Not a fancy place, but go here if you're a New York transplant. The atmosphere is like a good but "run down" deli tucked into some corner of manhattan. My first visit here in search of a good deli in Boulder... Sandwiches were okay and the potato salad tasty but the consistency of mashed potatoes... The staff was awful! No one was friendly in this place.. It's as though they were all standing around being annoyed to have to take your order and the guy at the register.. Awful. I stood there waiting for my order and he said nothing the entire time.. Never even made contact. He says my order and total I pay and look around for a pen.. He says nothing. I find one and sign and say thank you and he turns around and takes the receipt to the back... Worst service ever! Not to mention the place could really use a good cleaning. read more

The sandwich was good but I received two sandwiches that were wrong to the order. I ordered through grub hub and then called to confirm my order and they still seemed to get it wrong. The chicken bacon ranch was skimped on the bacon and the Manhattan was skimped on the hearts. read more
