Okay, so I'm going to start off by saying we grub hub or order for lunch. But We work down town not even 2 min away from this restaurant. Thinking the food would be fresh. The ordered was over an hour late, and the results ........The food was horrible!!! Everything was soggy, felt like it had just been sitting in those to go boxes in someone's back seat for a hot minute. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my bread was soggy, my lettuce was cooked and brown, the avocado..... nooo it was brown.. the chicken tasted funky as-well. Fries where soggy !!! My co worker ordered fish and chips and it was all soggy fish and fries ... she was not content! My boss went all out and ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with steak and shrimp ... she said the shrimp had a weird taste, the steak was nasty .... the noodles where okay ..... I'm not sure who's to blame, the restaurant or the grub hub? Both..... I recommend new to go boxes to keep food fresh so it won't steam and cook the vegetables, I recommend to contact grub hub and make sure they are delivering YOUR food on time. I've seen great reviews on this place and I'm sadden I didn't have the same experience. Maybe one day I will try to dine in or order and pick up myself and see if my experience is different... it will be a while for that, thinking of that chicken makes my stomach sorry this place is not for me !! read more

Do not let a review less than five stars fool you. This place is a gem. I will pass on one of two, actually, I will tell both, pieces of wisdom, when it comes to eating in a fine restaurant. First, you will always know how clean a restaurant is by looking at its bathroom. If the bathroom is not clean, neither will the kitchen be. Let me just start by saying that Delicioso has the nicest bathroom I've ever been to. I felt like I was in somebody's very neat and adorned bedroom. That is the picture I am providing. It is proof that this restaurant is clean. As clean, as it gets. The other tip that I have for you, is to always find a table where you can look into the kitchen. In the case of "Delicioso", which means delicious in Spanish, there is only one table that suits such a feast. This table is the one and only that shows clear views of the Möet champagne in the refrigerator, and the various beers available on tap and bottled, But more importantly, it also has an awesome view of the kitchen. The chef is as dedicated as if he was being filmed on national television. In turn the woman working in the kitchen was referred to as "Doña" (pronounced donie-ah) by the waitress. This is a big deal because being called doña in Mexico means: respect, experience, and did I mention respect? Well, this place earned it. This place is run like a family business. The waitress gave me the impression of being my first cousin, because she connected, she was genuine, and she could not have been nicer or much smarter. When I mean nice, I mean down to the bone, any question asked, any uncertainty cracked opened, all comfortably and expertly addressed with a smile. The breaded calamari tasted like breaded mozzarella it was so tasty and tender. It was soft and tasty. The chicken had been breaded with cheese, super juicy "calabacitas" or squash, and the mashed potatoes had such a good flavor they had to of had been made with butter. The beer selection was excellent, and I settled for a Trappist ale. The dessert! They make the crêpes right there, you can see them steaming on the skillet. La doña makes them, and the waitress Leticia brings them out. I had the caramel ones and they came with bananas, strawberries, homemade whipped cream, and incredibly delicious ice cream. I didn't wanna eat them because they look so perfectly good. And then once I started, I almost didn't notice the banana and strawberries that were fresh and perfect because it was so good I was just chomping it down so fast. One of the advantages of having line of sight into the kitchen is that I could see how the chef, who happens to be the owner, made the whipping cream in a large stainless steel container. Yes, this was not out of a store can, this was homemade gourmet quality. And if you're lucky enough to see them open the freezer, bless your heart! The door is this rouge, wood hinged, heavy, entranceway, that you would think was an opening to a treasure within the bank from about 150 years ago. Once a month our family gathers for Sunday Brunch (no cooking for me)! This month (July) we tried this amazing restaurant in Modesto. Delicious is a small family owned business. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The patio area and inside was very clean and welcoming. The food was amazing. The presentation was colorful and the taste was fresh tasting and delicious! We planned a Saturday night out and was looking forward to eating at this place since it was advertised on our favorite TV morning news. When we arrived at 529p no one was there so we waited in the car until 537p and no one showed and the door were still locked. When we decided to leave, along with two other couples, someone finally came and was opening the door. We are patient people however when you advertise that you are open at 530p, and it's not opened until after 530p, it makes us question how the service will be. I loved the atmosphere and luckily on a Friday night we were the only dined in table and that made the experience that much better because they were able to perfect our order without being rushed. I'm a pasta guru well at least I like to think I am, I make pasta all the time from scratch. My partner got the spicy tortellini I think it was called. We were blown away, since last time we ate out we tried ordering pasta and it was absolutely disgusting this was such a relief, we also ordered some espresso and cream and they were made just right our server was awesome she was very informative of the menu and over all kind. Came in, was seated no menus. Had been sitting there approximately 10 minutes. waitress came by said sorry about the wait - she'd be with us shortly. She then proceeded to go to another table outside, came back in the restaurant, seat three other people, walked by us again to get them menus and walked right past us a third time I then finally had to get up and go get my own menus. Stupid customer service. I ordered a chicken spinach salad off DoorDash for $15 when I picked up my order it was their basic salad with only a few of the items listed on the description included. When I let the hostess know the chicken was missing and some of the other toppings like the pears they refused add chicken and stated that is what I ordered. Their paper menu states a spinach salad is nine dollars with chicken is five dollars more through DoorDash they'll charge you $15 for their basic salad because you used DoorDash and you picked up the item. I literally watched the cook throw my salad together with his bare hands touch his face and his nose several times, absolutely disgusting. When I let him know I would not be ordering from them again he threw his hands up in the air like he could give two shits. I don't even know if that's a saying but you catch my drift. I tried to salvage something from the salad since I was starving (don't judge me), so I tried a strawberry..it was gross, tasted spoiled because of the nasty weird chunky dressing.
