The worst customer service. I called to order a cake and was like on hold for 10 minutes. When they finally answered, I told them I wanted to place an order for a small cake. The lady proceeded to ask me questions about the type of cake I wanted. Suddenly in the middle of taking my order, she then said, just email us your order. I told her, we are basically done with the order details, but she insisted I place the order online. So I did. I placed the order online and never heard back from them. I called the following day only to speak to another person who told me they don't take orders online. What a waste of time. Poor customer service. You guys need to train your employees so that they all have the same accurate information to give to your customers. read more

NOT HAPPY!!! I was forced to use delicious bakery because they are contracted with my wedding venue. The lady who did the tasting with us was very nice however after that it was a mess. We dropped off the ribbon to the bakery on schedule but they called us daily up to the night before the wedding asking us where the ribbon was. The cake had a crack in it and was lopsided!! Not what it used to be...we have had three or four custom cakes done here and they were absolutely amazing, complete with large fondant figurines and cool decorations that every little boy would love. Went in to try to order a small custom cake with several custom cupcakes and was told they couldn't do the fondant work (a flat baseball Diamond and a bat and baseball on the cake and small bat, ball and glove figures for the cupcakes). I said we've had it done before and asked what has changed. The girl said that bakers come and go...really? So a professional bakery that does custom cakes doesn't have a baker that can do simple fondant???? Wow. I was extremely disappointed... Not to mention the place looks like it's on its last leg, looks empty and like it could close any day...how sad. Used to be a great bakery. I've always loved Delicious Bakery. I've bought their display cakes a couple times in the past few years and finally decided to place a custom order cake two weeks prior for my son's 2nd birthday, jungle themed. I always liked their simple balloon design so I asked for that, and chose a dark forest green color for the main icing all around, yellow trim on the bottom and yellow & light green balloon. For a whole week, I was worried the details I gave weren't as specific as I wanted to be and honestly didn't know what to expect when I got it. When I came in for my order and saw the cake, the first thing I said out loud was "oh my gosh, its beautiful!" loved it at first sight. The cake design absolutely exceeded my expectations, and the flavor was just as amazing! Everyone at the party loved the cake! I called the bakery in the morning the week prior, spoke briefly with an employee, and was told I could e-mail a picture of what I was looking for. I sent a quick description and a few pictures I liked, and I received a reply almost immediately with details in regards to what they could do and at what cost. At the "end" of a small plaza with plenty of parking. Visited this bakery on a Thursday afternoon and it became busy very quickly. Walked in and I was their 3rd customer in the room. I saw a batch of chopped up bread and asked the worker what it was. She said they were free samples of their cinnamon bread! I already fell in love with this place hahha free samples almost always win me over! As I lingered along to look at their choices, the bakery was slowly filled with people. There was over 9 people in line! Since there were 3 workers, the line went by quickly - I think the free samples helped time pass I ordered a slice of their tiramisu and carrot cake. The total was $5.50 and the lady gave me a complimentary candle The first few bites of the tiramisu was delicious but it was a bit overwhelming near the middle and end. The carrot cake would've been delicious if it wasn't so stiff :/ It was overall decent. Been coming on and off here for many years. When coming into town to visit family I like to pick up a fruit tart and maybe those little apricot cookies, both are really really delicious. My Mom wanted to be in charge of getting my Granddaughters Hawaiian themed birthday cake, but she ordered it for Saturday instead of Friday. She realized the mistake on Friday morning and called Delicious Bakery and they said no problem your cake will be ready by 5 pm. What a relief. She came in early and they finished it off within 10 minutes and she went on her merry way. This cake was gorgeous! The pineapple filling was very good and they did not skimp on the frosting. We chose a three tier cake and the flavors we chose were white/strawberry bavarian, chocolate/chocolate bavarian and white/vanilla bavarian. The first time I ordered a cake from Delicious Bakery was for my gender reveal in 2017. We did a light pink and blue ombré styled cake on the outside, vanilla flavored, and inside the cake's layers was ombre pink. It tasted amazing, not overly sweet, and it was so beautifully done that we went back to them for our daughter's first birthday party in 2018. Our second cake was a unicorn theme. I was so impressed because they were able to do buttercreme floral designs throughout The Back of the cake, with floral fondant layered in. It was so Pinterest worthy. Both cakes were reasonably priced ($75). They exceeded my expectations! So when it came to my daughters next party, I was really disappointed to learn that they weren't able to make my vision come true. They no longer do tall fondants. When I asked why, I was given a shrug and a nonchalant answer. I wasn't even offered alternatives. I was curious about the pricing though. Without my tall fondant topper, they quoted my cake at $120. $120?!?! For a cake that's smaller and less intricate than my previous two. Someone below gave a poor review for their last encounter, stating a cranky and old owner, and after reading through her experience I wholeheartedly agree. Never coming back here. Go here for simplistic and cheap cakes and mediocre customer service. Go to a Sweet design in Granada hills if you're looking for a place with good customer service and beautiful cakes. RUDE AND NOT RELIABLE...I placed my Passover order at Delicious Bakery and prepaid in full 5 days prior to the scheduled 9:00 am Saturday pickup. I ordered 3 cakes and about 50 cookies from their Passover list. I went to Delicious this morning and was immediately surprised to see 30 people standing in line outside. I was finally allowed inside as I had a prepaid order. However my order could not be located. The manager finally informed me that my order was not ready and some of the items were still in the oven. He said my order would be ready at 4pm. I responded that the time was not acceptable as I had guests arriving in the early afternoon. The manager was beyond rude with no apologies, many excuses and offers to refund my money. Most generous to offer a monetary refund and leave a customer to drive around to find Passover desserts at the last minute. I returned at 2:00pm to pick up my order. Two cakes I had ordered were not available. The round chocolate chip chiffon cake was substituted for another flavor and the round sponge cake was substituted for a sponge loaf. Not pleased but relieved that we would have desserts to serve at our Passover Seder. I have been ordering from Delicious Bakery for over 40 years with great service and no issues. The new owners are rude, aloof, indifferent, unreliable and do not know how to run a bakery. Time to find a new bakery. read more

We had Delicious Bakery bake our wedding cake last month. We did a tasting early in the year which was wonderful. The staff gave us several options to choose from and were very kind. They called to confirm the final guest count a few days before the wedding and delivered a delicious (no pun intended) 3-tier cake that had a cherry blossom fondant going down the side. From our initial meeting to choose the cake design and do our tasting, we knew we were in good hands. Jan, the owner, is very knowledgeable and willing to impart wisdom when needed, but completely willing to work with your personal desires, too. She definitely means business, but she was also helpful and patient when I came to her with my requests. Aside from having gorgeously crafted cakes that taste incredible, the staff at Delicious did an amazing job working with our custom requests and making our cake something truly personalized that we can cherish for years to come. While we aimed for a traditional overture to our big day, we wanted to include little bits of ourselves throughout our decor. This included my dream of covering the surface of our cake with icing piped symbols that represented some of our favorite nerdy passions. The decorators at Delicious not only listened to my half-baked custom requests but worked with me to incorporate as many of those into the design as possible, so along with fancy swirls and decorative hearts, our cake featured things like the Pacman ghost, the Deathly Hallows, and the number 42 woven into the surface.
