Awesome food and service every time we come through town. Super friendly, helpful, and great home cooking from scratch.

Twice I've been to this restaurant and twice the food was not as expected. The service staff always seems to be overwhelmed. After waiting an extended time our server finally took the order. The first visit the iced tea had an off taste, certainly nothing like a good strong brewed tea. The second visit I ordered the pancakes. What I got was two 4" pieces of what appeared to be precooked possibly frozen cakes. A small container of syrup and two small strawberries and no butter. The menu listed three pancakes. I asked for the additional cake. Served in the now familiar manner minus any additional syrup or butter. I was less than impressed with the service or the food. I'll not be returning. read more

100% YES! our family stopped in and this cute little cafe did not disappoint! I had the roastini and would drive back here from Phoenix to have this sandwich again. We also got the frenchies which are a must. Their latte was also great. The star of the show, though, is the staff. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Our waiter was so personable and friendly. He made sure we had everyone needed at all times. This place is a must visit!! read more

Went here for lunch with my wife. Very good sandwiches. Got the Montini, or whatever it's called. Very tasty. Large selection of teas too.

So in my continuing effort to give honest reviews. We had lunch here, Small, quite place, small but simple menu, the was spot on, our lunch came out quickly. Wow!! What a great place! We ordered take out and had the: it's not pasta salad, cran-apple salad, potato soup, sausage chili, chickini, gluten free turkini, Z's jalepeno, and some lemonade with peach. Way over priced. Under portioned. Heard them say to smudge expiration dates? What? Using expired products? Micro dice something for antipasto? The linebacker, Z?, was rude and bitter. Horrid experience. Don't eat here. Too much drama and corners being cut. I threw my food away. Not a risk I would take. read more

Because the excellent dining options are scarce in Payson, we decided to try this new little cafe out and we were so pleased with the experience. GREAT food, well prepared and very pleasant service. My husband and I had lunch today, I had the Montini, and the flavor was fantastic. My only complaint is that it was very skimpy. There was one deli thin slice of ham and one slice turkey. My husband had The Cole Cut, and enjoyed it. Service was 5 star and flavor 5 star, just would like more meat on the Montini. read more

When we have family and friends from out of town Delicious Cafe is the most requested place to go. After convincing them Payson has more to offer than chain restaurants like Chili's, there was no looking back. Friendly hardworking staff and they are big supporters of the community. read more

What a great find! My husband had the Not Pasta salad with Cole cut sandwich & an iced tea, I had a Greek salad, Z's sandwich & a peach lemonade. These flavor combinations are truly something your palate will send you a thank you card for a nice, clean, and welcoming environment with plenty of natural light which my wife and I really like. Searching for places for lunch in Payson, The Delicious Cafe popped up. I'm so happy we stopped here. Great coffee, wonderful selection of sandwiches, creative teas and desserts. The service was awfully slow, the soup was cold, employees were loud, yelling to each other over our heads, table was never bussed after we finished eating. This could be a nice place - food not entirely bad, good prices, but it needs work. read more

I ordered by phone for pickup. I thought my sandwich was tasty but sadly there wasn't much meat on it. It felt like I was just eating bread. My wife ordered some breakfast creation and she said it was OK and liked the croissant. Our bag was also missing the pico and the ketchup that we were supposed to get with the order. Easy parking and we were cheerfully told to sit where we like. They asked us for something to drink we had a diet Pepsi and an iced tea. Iced tea was not drinkable. Can't comment on the food because after 15 minutes of receiving our drinks they never took our order. Manager apologized and said they have a whole new staff. She was sitting on the floor the entire time would have been quite interesting if we'd been able to ask the waitstaff to take the orders of the only table occupied. But the manager says she's busy with other things. To this manager customers don't count! read more

I went in for the first time today to try the lunch and was not disappointed! I had the chikini with potato wedges and they were fantastic! Iced tea and lemonade were good too. The only thing I could say needs improvement is customer service. When I walked in I stood at the counter while 3 employees just sat there chatting and occasionally glancing at me before someone even greeted me or asked if they could take my order. Came in today to try this new place out, and what a find! Sandwiches, wedges, and a mousse! Incredible! Everyone is struggling with staffing issues, and Delicious! Cafe is no exception, but their customer service is so spectacular. It's a small, cozy little place - bring a sweater! It is a bit chilly but I know they need to keep the kitchen at a reasonable temperature. The owner is a wonderful woman, very insightful and her food ideas are great. It's a family run business in a small town, I'm just amazed at what they have been able to do. Go support them, you'll love it!! read more

I first visited Delicious Cafe in September and was so impressed by the food that I was anxious to take my family back when returning to Payson in October. What a wonderful dining experience we had! There were 6 of us so we sat at a long table abutted to the beverage prep area. A little weird but it turned out to be fun. The owner/manager/waitstaff(I have failed to ask which on both visits) was so welcoming and helpful. The food....oh my goodness, the food was phenomenal. All of their menu items are gluten-free or can be ordered gluten-free (pretty sure that's what we were told). My grandaughter had wallfes and they were dense but melted in your mouth. So good!! I had The Cowboy which is a must have when you visit if you want breakfast. My daughter had The Roastini which I will be ordering the next time I visit. And Frenchies all around. Just get them...trust me. If you are local and haven't tried Delicious Cafe I don't know what you're waiting for. Go. Go now. If visiting from out of town, put this on your list of places to dine. We live about an hour and a half away and I am thinking about making a day trip just to have lunch there again! So good. So fresh. So reasonably priced! Wish you were closer!! read more
