I have been here a few times while visiting Strawberry/Pine, and each time it's been a great experience in terms of service. Each time everyone has been super friendly, going above and beyond to chat about some of their favorite things to do around this area and/or chatting about whatever topic we land on. While stopping in for a drink or a sandwich it's, even in June, it's been great. There's lots of umbrellas or shade that allows for a nice cool mountain breeze to keep cool from the summer sun. Enjoying a coffee on their deck warrants for a great Mountain View. Last year I stopped by and got their coffee, and it was underwhelming; BUT we stopped by twice this year while visiting and it was a stellar improvement. I am very particular with my espresso/lattes and really enjoyed mine this time around! There are lots of choices of flavors, however, I think something that could really help improve the coffees even more would be some homemade syrup! Thank you Sip for a great time. Did not eat this time. I was told they had espresso so I made the short drive 1 mile or less to check out. The espresso was good. I will be back tomorrow. My daughter had been there a few weeks ago and told me about the place. She got coffee and a chicken salad sandwich. There is a very nice place to sit that wraps around the back. She was impressed. They must be famous for the chicken salad sandwich as three people ahead of me ordered them. Well I came back Sunday morning. My wife and I shared a pecan caramel brownie. Really ready good. This spot is incredible for many reasons. Reliable breakfast sandwiches/burritos, great view and nice upper deck ambience. We have been before and the drinks were not our favorite, BUT they have totally redeemed themselves! The matcha is now ceremonial grade and well-made ~ only place in the Pine area to get it. The barista was very friendly and the patio view was amazing. I would 100% recommend this as a morning pick me up or a midafternoon break.

I truly enjoy this place! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is delicious, and the coconut latte is my absolute favorite. We recently moved up here, and everyone has been so welcoming and helpful it really makes you feel like part of the community. The chicken salad sandwich is excellent and one of my favorite meals. Everything is always fresh, and the café is consistently spotless, which I really appreciate. The pastries are amazing too my husband absolutely loves them and always looks forward to picking one out. My puppy also loves coming here! He recognizes where we are as soon as we pull into the parking lot and gets so excited to see the staff. They always make him feel so welcome. They also play great music during the weekdays, creating such a relaxing atmosphere. Pine is such a lovely place SIP is connected to a lodge so at first it can be missed and thought to just be connected to the lodge but it is indeed it's on venue and business and open to all They have a pretty great set up and offer live music as well We were there early and the live music wouldn't start for a few hours but I'm sure it's a great show and pairs well with the views Honestly sitting outside sipping my coffee with the wind blowing and quietly enjoying nature was serene The coffee was pretty good as well but the views make it all worth it read more

We are staying at the lodge attached to sip. This is primarily coffee and hot chocolate and drinks and pastry. They do offer breakfast sandwiches , your way. We opted for muffins and coffee. No black coffee options but just the coffee of the day. Good enough for a "start of day " snack. Prob do again tomorrow when we go. read more

Our favorite place in Pine or Strawberry. We've stayed here at the Lodge at 5600 a dozen times. The owners Brian and Lisa are great hosts and Sip has been revamped with great food, coffee, wine and beer. The views are amazing and the property is well manicured. Nothing special. Only one type of drip coffee. Lady said it was medium roast. I asked if an Americano would be dark roast she said she didn't know what kind of beans were in the espresso grinder as "they don't label them." I could see through the plastic hopper that they were on the lighter side. Gal wasn't friendly and was sniffling a lot. You're better off going 1 mile south to the gas station (Uncle Tom's Kwik Stop) where they have TWO freshly ground drip coffee options including a Colombian dark roast and it's just $2 for a large! ($5 at 5600). No need to go to 5600 for drip coffee or espresso if you like darker coffee. Update in response to the owner: you didn't address the barista not knowing what kind of beans were in the espresso hooper. This seems basic especially at the prices. It also means the "options" you mention they could "whip up" are unknown. I just wanted a dark roast or americano but if they're made with the same beans what "options" does someone have who doesn't want a bunch of other things in their cup? Finally, the gas station/convenience store I mentioned that's just down the road is also "locally owned" and has two types of drip coffee including Dark roast Colombian. I was excited to try this place since the reviews were pretty good. It is a beautiful location but the food is definitely lacking. We came for a quick breakfast. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches eggs, cheese, bacon. The eggs tasted like they were processed not real eggs. I ordered mine on a croissant only to be told they didn't have any, some I got it on English muffin. Well, they must have gotten a delivery because before I even finished my sandwich, someone at table next to me got their breakfast sandwich on a croissant! Maybe the lunches are better! read more
