5/16/25 Dinner in Christoper Creek's top fun & food restaurant! Parking 5/5 We arrived before the dinner rush and parked by the door. Luckily we did because a very large group of people arrived together maybe a graduation party? Ambiance 5/5 Love this place. Nicely designed, well constructed and tastefully decorated modern Country vibes that beckons your return. Service 5/5 For starters the Restaurant has an excellent owner run by a great family! All the staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Dinner for two. Tonight our server was Sabrina. She greeted us immediately and said to sit wherever we pleased, then took our drink orders. We've been coming here since it's opening and have enjoyed the menu grow. Tonight we went with the Boneless Sweet Chili wings and the very delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza. For dessert my wife ordered their Funnel Cake fries accompanied by the chocolate & honey sauces. Went here for the weekend with some girls while on a girls trip at a cabin a 10 minute walk away. I was loving the ambiance. They had some beer pong contest going and then an arm wrestling event. We went for lunch and ordered the jalapeño burger with sweet potato fries and the chipotle chicken wrap with friend and the Golden barbecue wings. The food was pretty good although the cheese on the burger was questionable. The service was somewhat slow, but the waitress did inform us ahead of time. I really loved the French fries as they were in a cute little shape. Sorry I didn't take a picture. Anyway it was a good time and they have a garage door that opens up to the outside. Parking was slim but it was super busy so that was to be expected. read more

This was a great place to sit outside by the creek on a stormy afternoon. We sat under an umbrella and had wine and a Chacuterie plate. The plate of meat and cheese was nice. The Marconi nuts were kinda wet but the cheeses were different and good. There was plenty for two people. I think it was 23.00. Went out to Christopher Creek for lunch today and boy, was it busy! All the tables out on the deck were crowded but we found one, right at the balcony overlooking the creek. I love eating outside here because the trees are old growth so give a lovely, shaded breeze and the sound of the creek is so inviting.... We had fried curds as an appetizer that were crispy, crunchy and melty-gooey inside. Delicious! I ordered the BLT on sourdough and hubby had one of his favorites, the Reuben; with mine I had the fries, which were these 'twisty' potatoes that were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and fluffy inside, and he got the onion rings so we shared our sides. I love! maionnaise so would have gladly had more on my sandwich but the applewood smoked bacon had my attention so I quickly forgot about the mayo. All that food and two beers with it made me want to hang a hammock and nap by the creek . See you next time Landmark :) With all this good food an Been coming here for several years and love that it's by the creek, has a nice, big, deck/patio with fairly comfy chairs ( I've a bad neck and back so sitting in restaurants isn't that great for me), good beer and the food has so far always been good. Most food items have jalapeño and chilis ( I'm extremely allergic- carry epi pen ) so my choices are a little more limited anywhere I go eat, especially here in the SW. I usuallyhave either the bacon cheeseburger, mac and cheese - you know I looove cheese - a salad or heck, a couple beers and fries! It's so pleasant to enjoy the breeze, birds and creek, while having a drink there. Service has been both wonderful but also spotty, depending on time and weather - but overall good, and staff smiles are always appreciated. Staying just down the highway and didn't want to drive all the way back to Payson to pick up some liquor to make drinks in our room. The guy in the store at Woods Canyon Lake told us to stop at Landmark as they sell liquor as well as it being a restaurant. Once we walked in we knew we had to hang out for a bit. Amazing chill vibe and the patio is incredible. We chose a spot that overlooked the creek. Had a couple drinks and an appetizer.... the jalapeño cream cheese corn bites - YUM! Staff and service was friendly and fast. Great place! And we purchased a couple of bottles of booze and mixers for the rest of our evening. read more

Happened to stop at this place 2 or 3 times while staying or passing thru Christopher Creek. It has great small town ambiance with a lot of locals and good vibes. The menu is diverse with many options, I have had multiple options and they all have been really good. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable but a bit slow. I don't think service is slow due to organization just more of the pace of the town but still a bit slow for my pace. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in that area. Cools spot! read more

Walked over from our cabin as a neighbor recommended it- he said the wings were really good. They have a dog friendly patio- which is quite large. A stage for live music (none on our visit though). It's right on the creek and you can hear the water so nicely. They do not have a beer menu you can read, but from far away I could see one on the wall. We both got Big Blue Van, which is always delicious and it was on tap- bonus and very cold! We had cheese curds- which were ok, average nothing crazy though. Service was a little slow, but ok. Nice walk for food and beer. They also sell beer and wine apparently according to their sign, but we did not check. read more

We went to the landmark while in the area, based off of a recommendation from a family member. It was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and we noticed that the prices were more than doubled from what the pictures have here, so just a heads up on that. We ordered the chicken salad with fried chicken and it was around $20 as well as the honey hot wings which were around $17 for 6. I am not sure if there was an increase due to the holiday weekend or what the deal is with the pricing being so high. They were both good but not worth what is being charged. The honey hot wings had zero spice and just tasted like honey flavored wings. Prices are not justified in comparison to what you get food wise but the place and overall vibe was really cool and there is a few tables that you can sit at that gives you a view of the creek. read more

05/30/2025 was my first visit with spouse and family. Sabrina was our server. Best onion rings I've ever had since living and eating in AZ since 1959. No fat globules on any of them; they were multi-sized and perfectly round and none were broken or damaged. I easily cut them with knife and fork to dip the pieces into the BBQ sauce I requested. Ambiance was excellent. Well designed business with indoor and outdoor amenities. Worth a 20+ mile drive from the crossroads of the Payson highways to get to the Landmark at the Creek. If I am ever near it again, I hope it is open. read more

We ate here twice to really give it a good chance, food was fair on day one though really slow service and the smoking was weird. Not used to having second hand smoke as a side dish. Next night we took the fam to treat them to a beautiful dinner and give the place another chance. Rudest woman gave so much attitude about where we sat-we had a newborn and didn't want to sit by the smoker-then it was a good half hour before we were given menus or asked for our drink orders. Then-no exaggeration-an hour and a half wait for the food. We got so hungry we had to go to the car and scrounge for snacks. No apology for the crazy wait, it wasn't even busy, everyone around us got food just fine, it was kind of weird. Of course we didn't want our food spat in so we were overly polite but this was absolutely nuts. The beauty of the forest can only compensate for so much, in the end not worth the second hand smoke and literal worst service I've ever experienced. Someone at my table put a big zero for a tip but I added a 1 to make a $10 tip-still only like a 10% tip which is dismal but this was the most embarrassing dinner-I kept apologizing to everyone because it was my idea to go here even tho we'd had not-great service before. 0/10 do not recommend. Still sad about a special night with the fam who all drove hours to get together and this is probably what will stand out from the trip. read more

The food was great. I loved the place it had plenty to do. Couldn't ask for a better spot to visit while up in the rim camping and fishing.

Absolutely a must stop on your way up or your way down from the Mogollon Rim. Our favorite stop in this cute little town of Christopher Creek. Staff is always friendly, smells of something delicious on the grill. This place has something for everyone. Kiddos and adults play cornhole along with other games. The sound of the creek is super relaxing. They have a dog friendly patio with bowls of water out for the thirsty ones. A true gem situated between Payson and the rim. read more

Gotta give lots of local love to the Arizona small businesses and restaurants on the outskirts of humanity// not exactly close to a town, & in need of staff and visitors alike, like Landmark. Before heading up to the Rim Country, I found very few dining options in the last case scenario my friends and I needed a restaurant instead of fending for ourselves at our Woods Canyon Lake area campsite. Luckily for our crew, one of my friends knows Landmark and dines and drinks there for every Christopher Creek/Rim Country getaway... to the point she could almost be considered a local! During nice weather, they'll have the garage doors rolled up for great seating all around and they can turn on heaters, with the sound of Christopher Creek below. Floofy fluffers on leashes are allowed too! It's nothing fancy on the menu but they do pride themselves on their burgers, cooked to the eater's preferred temperature. While you can get plain fries for no upcharge as a side to said burger, would highly recommend the garlic fries or one of the other upcharge sides. Everything is reasonably priced, including drinks. read more

We had a really unfortunate experience here. The food was fine and the place seems clean and plenty of tables. We went in with 9 of us for appetizers and drinks. Three of our party had a total of six beers over a period of about 2 hours. When our bill came out for the food and appetizers there were 9 beers charged. We had two waitresses working our table so we figured there was some confusion so we brought it up to Kenzii. She went and talked to someone and the other waitress said she had brought us two rounds, she was correct but prior to those two rounds my husband had one beer. So there was a total of 6 beers. They told us for the second time we were wrong. They said we would have to pay the bill. This was never about the $18, it was about the principal. The other waitress came out and said they would look at the security cameras. We said yes, we would appreciate it. They took a few minutes and came out with a different ticket. We asked what did they see on the tape. She said "all of the drinks", she handed one of the guys in our party the "corrected" receipt which was still incorrect but we just paid it and left. Won't return. It's a shame to chase away people that come in and offer your establishment sizable checks, over an $18 check mistake. At no time were the staff un-friendly. The service however was extremely slow. The main frustration was that they both implied we were lying to them over three beers valuing $18 on a $166 bill. We will spend our money elsewhere going forward. read more

We've been to this restaurant a few times and keep hoping things will get better. We were there last night and it will likely be the last time. The service was horrible, our food took over 30 mins (a pizza, wings, and a chicken sandwich), and it wasn't busy. Our drinks were empty for at least 15 mins before our server refilled them (she had walked by many times and didn't ask if we needed refills until she brought our food over). I was watching another couple and they looked very frustrated, also...waiting to order their drinks took 15 mins. The wings weren't anything to write home about and the pizza and chicken sandwich were subpar. I originally wanted the steak (according to the menu, entrees are served after 4pm and we got there after 5pm), but was told they weren't serving entrees...really? The only bright side is the distance from where we normally stay when we're in Christopher Creek. read more

We came in for an early dinner, not many people were there, and the service was still extremely slow. The food took a really long time to come out, the wait staff took a long time to bring drinks and refills, and the food itself was not great. Fish was ok, burger was mediocre, chicken strip were meh, jalapeño fritters were ok. Overall, just not worth the experience. The outdoor deck was chilly and the waitstaff had to find someone to turn on the outdoor propane heaters because the didn't know how lol. read more

The food is slightly above average, but the views and ambiance are beautiful which is what made me go with 4 stars over 3. It's pretty standard bar food, but the burger I had was tasty and really hit the spot after a hike at See Canyon. What's really nice is the outdoor patio seating. You're smack in the woods and can really take in the scenery and nature while you enjoy a post hike meal. And the service is friendly, too. read more

I can't tell you about the food because the girl was so rude, I decided to leave. It was Friday afternoon. They weren't super busy. I had my dog with me as I was in town for the weekend. I saw someone else take their dogs through the side gate, so I did the same thing. There was a note that said see the hostess at the front so I walked up there and the first thing she said to me was you can't have the dog in the restaurant. I explained that there was a sign on the patio that said to see the hostess and she said well most people come in through the front door. Isn't that also being in the restaurant? She told me to go wait on the patio and someone would be with me. I stood on the patio for almost 10 minutes and nobody seem to want to take care of me or find me a table so I left and went somewhere else. read more

We came here on our cabin trip to Christopher Creek; these folks were some of the nicest and friendliest people! I gave 4 stars because the food was just ok but the service and ambience made up for it. With lots of kids, it can be hard to find a.place to let them run around. The kids.played pool and watched the creek over the balcony. It is also very convenient and located close to many of the cabins. read more

Great atmosphere and outdoor patio here. Our server was very nice however, the food was not. We ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and BLT. The wrap had almost no chicken and the side (Mac n cheese) was spoiled. You know how you smell milk right away if it's gone bad? That was exactly my experience. I really wanted to love this place because it was just a short walk from our cabins but, alas, it wasn't meant to be. I'll hit the creekside tavern next trip. Loved it! The food is what I would expect for the area and it was really good. Highly recommend the pizzas! The service was great. We weren't there to rush through, so even though there appeared to be one server on a Sunday, we didn't feel overlooked at all. We had margaritas, and I highly recommend those as well! We sat out on the patio and we could listen to the creek running. We brought two toddlers with us who are full of energy, and they loved the patio area where they could play games and ride scooters. Marcus was our server ( 3 times we ate here ) Hes so funny and super genuine nice person :) The food is ridiculously tasty ! I forgot to take more pix of lunch stuff - but everything is made with love . We legit want to try everything in the menu lol Very clean fun upbeat place - unfortunately I can't say the same for the other local restaurant down the road . Really good food. I had the best onion rings ever! Hubby's jalapeños burger was huge and full of fixins. He eats a lot of burgers and really enjoyed this one. My friends wrap was delicious as well. The jalapeños ranch dip was extra tasty. The server did a great job, no glass went unfilled and she was quite attentive. The food was a little slow coming out but worth the wait. The dog friendly patio offered enough shade for my dog and there were 3 other dogs on the patio, all well behaved. Perfect stop for on your way up or down the hill. read more

Little hidden gem in the middle of a national forest, with views of a running creek, literally every amenity you can ask for: free WiFi, indoor / outdoor, greet beer selection, cornhole and more. And dog friendly so puppers Jack enjoyed it too! Food was great, had the grilled chicken sammy, with their homemade house kitchen chips, and the turkey bacon panini with garlic parm fries. Delish!
