Veggie wrap, sweet potato fries, potato salad and a disgusting tiny, burnt and dry Beyond burger.
    Lori A.

I was just looking back at my previous review and decided to drop down a star because I was served 2 Beyond burgers that were sliced in half and then over cooked. They do get a couple stars for atmosphere, but really that's just thankful to Mother Nature.

Outside covered patio billiards and Bar pass through.

5/16/25 Dinner in Christoper Creek's top fun & food restaurant! Parking 5/5 We arrived before the dinner rush and parked by the door. Luckily we did because a very large group of people arrived together maybe a graduation party? Ambiance 5/5 Love this place. Nicely designed, well constructed and tastefully decorated modern Country vibes that beckons your return. Service 5/5 For starters the Restaurant has an excellent owner run by a great family! All the staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Dinner for two. Tonight our server was Sabrina. She greeted us immediately and said to sit wherever we pleased, then took our drink orders. We've been coming here since it's opening and have enjoyed the menu grow. Tonight we went with the Boneless Sweet Chili wings and the very delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza. For dessert my wife ordered their Funnel Cake fries accompanied by the chocolate & honey sauces. Every thing was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. Thanks to everyone in the kitchen tonight. Sabrina- Thank-you for taking care of us too. Check their hours and stop in for breakfast lunch or dinner. $61.84 before tip. Eat well my friends, SYOY!

This restaurant was lovely to eat at on our trip to a cabin we rented nearby. The ambience is great! The service was quite good--our party received our food in a speedy amount of time. The food was aesthetically pleasing in appearance and delicious in taste and in quality.

Staying just down the highway and didn't want to drive all the way back to Payson to pick up some liquor to make drinks in our room. The guy in the store at Woods Canyon Lake told us to stop at Landmark as they sell liquor as well as it being a restaurant. Once we walked in we knew we had to hang out for a bit. Amazing chill vibe and the patio is incredible. We chose a spot that overlooked the creek. Had a couple drinks and an appetizer.... the jalapeño cream cheese corn bites - YUM! Staff and service was friendly and fast. Great place! And we purchased a couple of bottles of booze and mixers for the rest of our evening.

Went out to Christopher Creek for lunch today and boy, was it busy! All the tables out on the deck were crowded but we found one, right at the balcony overlooking the creek. I love eating outside here because the trees are old growth so give a lovely, shaded breeze and the sound of the creek is so inviting.... We had fried curds as an appetizer that were crispy, crunchy and melty-gooey inside. Delicious! I ordered the BLT on sourdough and hubby had one of his favorites, the Reuben; with mine I had the fries, which were these 'twisty' potatoes that were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and fluffy inside, and he got the onion rings so we shared our sides. I love! maionnaise so would have gladly had more on my sandwich but the applewood smoked bacon had my attention so I quickly forgot about the mayo. All that food and two beers with it made me want to hang a hammock and nap by the creek . See you next time Landmark :) With all this good food an Been coming here for several years and love that it's by the creek, has a nice, big, deck/patio with fairly comfy chairs ( I've a bad neck and back so sitting in restaurants isn't that great for me), good beer and the food has so far always been good. Most food items have jalapeño and chilis ( I'm extremely allergic- carry epi pen ) so my choices are a little more limited anywhere I go eat, especially here in the SW. I usuallyhave either the bacon cheeseburger, mac and cheese - you know I looove cheese - a salad or heck, a couple beers and fries! It's so pleasant to enjoy the breeze, birds and creek, while having a drink there. Service has been both wonderful but also spotty, depending on time and weather - but overall good, and staff smiles are always appreciated. I like taking my time when out for a meal and we have always felt able to enjoy food and drinks without feeling rushed, as is typical of dining in the States. See you soon Landmark!!

Two paws up from our baby boy, Rock, on our little road trip adventure! We had two burgers, fries, onion rings and two adult beverages. Everything was delicious!! Thank you to our server, Macy, for making us all feel so welcome. Beautiful spot to sit outside and enjoy the cooler weather!

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Kohl's Ranch Lodge 202 S Kohl's Ranch Road Payson, 85541 Companion and I were visiting in Payson and were looking for a good place to eat. I had eaten and stayed at Kohl's Ranch years ago and it was a tip top place to stay and eat. Unfortunately, things have changed over the years. The dining room that used to serve great prime rib is no more. Instead, there is only a small eating area by the bar, or you can eat outside if you wish. We could not get the internet on our phones and found out that the only way to access it is to take a room or rent time on it. Never heard of such a thing before. We ordered Iced Tea ($4), and placed our orders for a meal. Companion ordered an individual Hawaiian Pizza ($19). Unfortunately, only the middle was edible as the outside was 2 inches of crust before getting to any sauce. I ordered the Prime Rib Dip which was supposed to be the same as a French Dip. The meat was from their very own smoker. I personally own 4 smokers and the meat that comes out of my smokers tasted nothing like what was served to me. To make a long story short, I spent the evening totally sick and worshiping the porcelain god. For $50.82 I have had meals that were far better. 1 star for cleanliness and that's all. They also have a full menu for lunch and dinner. The burgers served at the table next to us looked awesome. This place reminded us of a typical diner back east in New Jersey: happy servers, plentiful and delicious hot and fresh food, great coffee and fresh baked home made pie. We arrived around 7:30am, which was right before it started getting busy. The view is pretty cool. The restaurant is overlooking the runway. After checking in at the front, we were given a table within minutes. Then, our waitress came up and asked us what we wanted to drink. Eventually, we decided what to order and she came back to take our order. The food didn't take long--I'd say about 15 minutes. The food was delicious, to say the least. We both ordered a Western Omelette and shared an order of French Toast. I also took an apple pie and some other baked goods back home with me. The pie was also delicious! The only reason for my 4 stars is because of the service. Some of the employees seemed annoyed to be there and help us. While I understand that the restaurant was busy, you should still maintain composure and try to remain calm under stress. Having worked at a restaurant, I understand the feeling, but you can't let it get to you. Other than that, great little restaurant. I'd come here again.

There's something about starting a day in the mountains with a small-town diner that just feels right. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. They were especially kind to our daughter, chatting with her and making her feel like she belonged there. As a parent, those little moments don't go unnoticed. The food is classic diner breakfast in the very best way possible. No gimmicks. No unnecessary twists. Just breakfast done well. My wife and I both ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a side of bacon. My daughter went with a waffle topped with whipped cream and strawberry preserves, while my father-in-law also opted for the biscuits and gravy. Everything came out fresh, hot, and exactly how you'd hope a breakfast cooked on a seasoned griddle would. The coffee stayed hot, the service never skipped a beat, and the entire meal felt like the perfect start to a day outdoors. Beeline Cafe isn't trying to reinvent breakfast. It's preserving the kind of local diner experience that's becoming harder and harder to find. It's a local favorite for a reason, and after our visit, I completely understand why.

The location was really nice and open with a patio, and the inside was spacious without the tables being packed together. Plenty of room to sit back and actually enjoy your meal. I went with the ribs, and they were smoked just right--exactly how I like them. Honestly, they didn't even need BBQ sauce. I ate some with just the rub and some with sauce, and both ways were delicious. The mashed potatoes were so good I should've ordered more. The mac and cheese wasn't overly creamy, which was perfect for me, and I can't forget the Caesar salad. Really good Caesar salad, and one thing I always appreciate--serve it on a cold plate. This one came out nice and cold and was super fresh. Overall, really good BBQ, great sides, and a nice comfortable location. Definitely worth the stop if you're in Payson.

Hello Everyone: This review is for Rim Country BBQ and Wood Fired Pizzas in Payson, AZ…read more This was our first time at this restaurant. We would definitely come back again. Because we could not decide what to order, we got the sampler plate which had meats, sides, and dipping sauces. The photos show you the "before" and "after" of our meal! Bathrooms are clean. We had no problem finding off-street parking. Analysis of experience: This plate is enough for two people. You get: two ribs, two 1/2 pieces of sausage, a scoop of pulled pork (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup), two thin slices of brisket and some sliced smoked turkey breast. Also included is a sampler container of their dipping sauces to enjoy with your meat. Sides included: baked beans, corn, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, potato salad and mac & cheese. Our meat favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork. This is why: I first tried a bit of each meat with no sauce. I don't want to review sauces and sauces can cover up/mask many issues just like a coat of paint on a wall. Therefore, I started with meat (no sauce) tastings, then moved to the meat and sauce tasting. Ribs: The rib meat easily cut off the bone and was tender. There was not a lot of meat, the bones were pretty big as you can see, but what meat there was had a nice flavor and was tender. Pulled Pork: The pulled pork was some of the most tender I have experienced. This meat went well with ALL the dipping sauces served to us. I did not get a lot of smoke flavor to it, the flavor was subtle, but that allowed for the sauces to shine a little bit. Brisket: The brisket was tender, but I felt the fat line on the top of the brisket was still too intact for me (not rendered enough so the fat juices get down into the meat) and I thought the brisket was a tad dry. Turkey: The turkey breast had a nice flavor, but again, it was very subtle. This meat was also a tad dry, not bad with sauce on it, but could have been a little juicier. That was perhaps my least favorite because it was on the dry side. Sausage: The sausage was 1/2 of a sausage cut in 1/2 again as you can see in the photo. This was a spicy sausage with a charred cut side, very nice. The char on the sausage added a nice crunch to each bite. My husband and I both agreed our favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork and should we return, these two meats would be on our radar. Regarding the sides, here is my review: The yellow corn was average - nothing special. The mashed potatoes were average - nothing special. Mac & Cheese - average, nothing special. The sauce on this item was too runny for us. The sauce wound up against other items on the plate. The cole slaw was nice, fresh tasting, but I think it needed a dash of fennel. The coleslaw and the potato salad (items which are served cold) were co-mingled on the plate with all the hot items. I would have preferred them being served inside a small bowl or container on the serving platter to keep them cold. The potato salad was very good - I would definitely order that again. The beans were excellent - I would definitely order those again. This menu item is also served with a piece of garlic bread which was very good - it had melted butter on it and tasted like garlic! I am giving this 5 Stars even with some short falls regarding flavor and or juiciness because of the environment, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, available to find parking without driving around, and menu choices. The menu is large, enough choices for everyone to get something. If we are back in the area, we will try one of their pizzas. Hannah was our server and she did a nice job checking on us since she knew it was our first time there. Very pleasant, nice smile, and good with her customers. Enjoy!

Fortunately for us, getting lost turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, so they told us to sit wherever we'd like. The service was fantastic from the moment we walked in, and the food was even better. I ordered the Reuben, one of the boys got a burger and fries, and the other ordered the chicken Alfredo. Now here's where things got interesting. After the first bite of the chicken Alfredo, all loyalty to previously ordered meals disappeared. The burger kid immediately developed a serious case of Order Envy and was ready to abandon ship. I'm pretty sure if negotiations had continued, he would have traded his entire burger basket for that Alfredo without hesitation. If you're a parent, you know exactly what I'm talking about. One kid orders perfectly well. Another kid orders slightly better. Suddenly there's a food custody dispute at the table. Thankfully, there was plenty of food, nobody went hungry, and everyone left happy. Amazing food, amazing service, and a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We'll definitely make it a point to get lost and end up here again. Sometimes the best finds aren't planned...they're just the result of taking a wrong turn.
