We arrived at Delicious Temptations with great expectations at ~10:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014. It was busy, but a few tables were available. Rather than taking a "clean" one in the center of the room, we chose to wait for table number 1 to be cleared, which was in the corner by the front window. What should have been a reasonably quick process turned into a five-minute wait. Lacking the appropriate equipment for the job, the young woman made three trips to and from the table before we were able to sit down. Alas, that comparatively short delay was insignificant compared to our much longer waits to come. Cheap, laminated menus are left on the table, and their questionable sanitation left me wondering how often they receive any attention from staff. Perhaps we should be grateful they were already present, though, since we had more than ample time to read every word on each of the four pages before anyone appeared to take our order. This was ironic because we had perused the online menu and decided on our order before arriving at the storefront establishment. Both of us have been craving a good Eggs Benedict for some time, so we exercised the unusual option of ordering the same item. While we waited . . . and waited . . . and waited for our food, we passed the time by discussing how grateful we were that our order apparently was receiving the individual attention that a good Eggs Benedict deserved. After 30 minutes or so, however, our gratitude began to wear a bit thin, so we were very happy when our server showed up with two plates in tow. Unfortunately, we were surprised to see two half orders of Eggs Benedict instead of what we had clearly ordered. When we pointed out the error, our semi-apologetic server encouraged us to enjoy the two half orders while two more half orders were being prepared. These first two were very disappointing. Both of our eggs were overcooked--complete with largely dry, solid yolks--to the point that they resembled two hard-boiled eggs rather than the delicately poached eggs that Eggs Benedict requires. The hollandaise sauce was scant, and it obviously was prepackaged. The Canadian bacon was nothing more than two ultra-thin slices of lunch meat. Since we were hungry, bordering on ravenous, after our long wait, we had these well below average concoctions devoured before the server appeared with the 2nd half of the meal we originally ordered. To be fair, the second two were much better. The egg yolks were appropriately runny, and the prepackaged hollandaise sauce was delivered in an adequate quantity. Given the inexpensiveness, we decided the second half of our order actually was an acceptable economical substitute for a good Eggs Benedict, and we were satisfied. Then the bill arrived. We received two tickets. The first order was charged out at $3.99/each for two half orders. This total, of course, was $7.98. The second order was charged out at $6.99, which is the price of one full order. Since we originally ordered two full orders, this means we were charged one cent short of a dollar too much. When I took our check to the cash register to pay, I pointed out their error, and the young woman acknowledged the mistake. But did she correct it? Not so much. Saying, "I guess we'd better go with what's on the tickets," she took my debit card, cheerfully charged me ninety-nine cents too much, and sent me on my disgruntled way. Given the relatively inexpensive prices, we were hoping our experience at Delicious Temptations would be acceptable. The menu descriptions of some of the lunch menu items were enticing. Unfortunately, we are not inclined to return to sample them. C'est la vie. read more

This place's picture is in the Yelp dictionary next to "glacial service". I don't know if it's the kitchen or the wait staff, though my tendency is to think the latter is the bigger part of the problem; the one black waiter (sorry, I can't remember his name!) gives us zippy service, but everyone else seems like slogging through molasses. The food is indeed delicious, once it finally arrives at your table, one of the better breakfasts in town. But between the slow service and the office park decor (acoustic ceiling tiles? Rilly?), it's a mediocre experience overall. I cannot stress this enough: BE THERE WHEN THEY OPEN OR WAIT. read more

I dine here often, and it is always the same. SLOW. If you are hungry, or in a hurry, avoid this place. The food is fine, but nothing extraordinary. The staff is nice, when you see them. But they must be severely understaffed because it always takes forever. Forever to get your drinks, forever for a refill, and anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour to get your food. Regardless of how busy they are at the time. If you know to expect this ahead of time and have the time to spend then it's not a big deal. But if you are expecting the service you would find in any other restaurant then you will be very disappointed, because this place is just not there. read more

Can someone help me understand how this restaurant made it on the list of the top ten breakfast/brunch places to eat in Little Rock?Signed in, waited 25 minutes for a table, another 8 minutes for a server, another 10 minutes for drinks and making an order! Meanwhile others (regulars called by name) seated after us had food by the time we ordered. We did enjoy conversations with others waiting including a baby & parents! DT's is always a 'mus visit' after church on Sunday's for brunch and this weekend was no exception. Being a holiday weekend we were able to get seating for our group of 6 without any wait. Sundays can often be quite crowded at DT. I got my usual order of Eggs Benedict, as did several other in our party. Kiddo got a waffle, and the other adults got omelets. Eggs Benedict came out great as always. I was still a bit hungry afterwards and Dad mentioned the same. Maybe an order of bacon or sausage next time would be good on the side. The waffle was a bit bland, but large. It was only half eaten by the end of the meal, so I think pancakes would have been a better more tasty choice for the youngster. This place was good. We went in on a Sunday morning following a Razorback loss so it wasn't too crowded. I had an omelet which was satisfactory, but the potato casserole, bacon, and sausage were delicious! Also the coffee and service was good. Kitchen was a little slow but this did not affect our experience as we were not in a big hurry. I will return when I am back in town. read more

I always love Delicious Temptations. My favorite is "Eggs Benedict Florentine" there are many menu items, and all are high quality. They have many extra touches such as spinach, avocados, nuts that make the dishes unique. read more

I'm really sorry but the service here is getting intolerable. My husband and I came in and one of us ordered the daily casserole and the other ordered the salad trio - nothing that had to be cooked only put on a plate. It took almost 30 minutes and this was before the lunch rush. We received no apology or explanation. Not acceptable! read more

We have been looking for a little variety in our breakfast so we took a chance????? The food is good stuffed pancakes were unique my wife had pineapple and coconut pancakes!!! Tok sweet for me but really good! I enjoyed the DT omelette with crab meat. The strawberry butter was really good as well! We waited for 30 minutes and were told a table of 7 was about to leave and we could have that table. After waiting patiently for a few more minutes, we went back inside to find our table had been given to another party. The hostess response to why our table was given away was that "you have to be flexible or you don't have to be here". So don't choose to be here. read more

Servers were nice but not well trained. You should not have an empty coffee cup in front of you for 25 minutes when the restaurant is not busy. Food came out cold to barely warm. They need to take anything with crab in it off the menu, it is not fresh as advertised and tastes terrible. Quality for price was sub par. The english muffins are pretty much the cheapest you could by at a grocery store. Potato breakfast casserol was strange. Pancakes were good. Ambiance was diner level at best. This being a locally owned restaurant I give it a pass on my normal standards but I've got to note that Delicious Temptations has been lacking a lot lately. They're service is usually slow but again, I chalk that up to being a small local restaurant; no big deal. Today was the second time in a row I've called in a breakfast order only to find that when I've gotten home the order was totally wrong. What made matters even worse is that when I tried to call and get the order corrected nobody would answer the phone. I finally went back up there to get my order right. As I'm walking to the counter a customer was returning a plate of pancakes b/c she said they were "too cold." I don't know if the staff is having a rough morning or what but I'm going to have to start reconsidering calling in orders to Delicious Temptations in the future. I must add that the owner was very apologetic and remade my order right away. That would have made a bigger impact had this not been the second time in a row this had happened. If you're a LR native, you know this place is a consistently great breakfast spot. You have to get there when the doors open on the weekend or you'll be waiting. Try the omelets with their house salsa and pancakes, a choice you won't regret. Also they have their own strawberry butter that you'll enjoy! read more

This place is just underwhelming. Little Rock has a bit of a shortage of sit-down, old-fashioned breakfast places and this restaurant does not offer much. Service is slow and disorganized, food is uninspired and lukewarm, and the experience is just too expensive for what it is. Sure, the famous cheesy potatoes are good but those alone are not enough to get me to come back. This place needs a unique identity, some original dishes, and a staff that seems like they care. Went here for brunch on Saturday, and it was very crowded. The only bad thing about the whole experience was that our service was slow, and we felt that they needed to hire more waiters to deal with the large crowd. But I am very patient so that hardly took away from my experience. The food was very good, from the yogurt pancakes to the California eggs Benedict, and very reasonably priced. I haven't had a bad breakfast here, yet. The food tastes great, the prices are pretty reasonable, the service is attentive, and it's not far from where I live. Overall, a nice, neighborly place to eat breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Corned beef hash would make a nice addition to the menu. read more

I tried Delicious Temptations for thr first time 2 weeks ago. Since then, I've eaten there for lunch 6 times. I always get my food to go but I have not been disappointed. Went here for my birthday earlier this year. Oh, what a lovely environment it was and food was amazing!
