The individual, who said her name is "Ashley", refused to provide the item that was missing from our prior day's $32 order (butterfly shrimp-$4). Instead of accommodating us (the returning, paying customers), she insisted on defending her stance to not fill the order by slamming the previous day's manager. "Ashley" was determined to withhold the item (though we were there, placing another $17 order at the time) because the error was the other manager's. When I called the store back, to verify that she was indeed standing by her refusal to make us whole, and to get the name and contact information of who she reports to "Ashley" would only provide the single name "Perez" and refused to provide his contact number or email address. Insisting he would just tell me "the same thing". Instead of listening to me and focusing on customer service and satisfaction, she thought it more important to over-talk me and defend her position. She thought it best to follow the minutia and particulars of Popeye's Policies instead of practicing the principles of those policies. Until this location has a turn-over in management, I won't be returning, nor will any of our family and friends. And in the meantime, I encourage "Perez" to playback the call and review the video footage and perhaps help coach "Ashley" to learn how to better handle situations in the future. Or, some people are ill-equipped for customer facing positions and are better suited for non-customer facing roles. I encourage everyone who frequents Popeye's in West Little Rock, to visit either the other location on Cantrell near Interstate 430 (which has a different owner) or the West Markham store (same owner, but a much better staff, Mark, for example--who is pleasant and delivers exceptional customer service).

However, when my mother pointed this out, due to the fact that she can not eat things with extreme amounts of salt on it, the employee started yelling at her from across the counter. He then reached to get a kids meal box from the back and as my mother reached out to get it he started yelling at her stating "Did I call your number? What are you doing? This is someone else's food". That is in no way a tone to have with a customer just because she pointed out a mistake. She then asked to speak to his manager who came from the back cooking area and as she was telling him the situation instead of listening he began backing the worker up and stating that my mother was purposefully getting another persons kids meal. The manager mind you could not even see what had happened since he was in the back. The employee then proceeds to hand the SAME kids meal box to my mother since it was her meal.
