Looking for a quick and easy restaurant for dinner and came across brood & Barley. Went solo and sat at the bar. Order shrimp as a prized and risotto for my main. Both items were really good. Additionally the bartenders were really nice and took care of me. Overall a really good experience, worth a try.

I came here one evening while traveling Rock for my birthday with friends. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. I ordered the Sweet Potato Lemonade, which was refreshing and unique. The taste of sweet potato was not strong, and the cinnamon was a great addition. For an appetizer, the table ordered Shush Fries. These weren't my favorite, as Asiago cheese isn't my preferred cheese. For an entree, I ordered the Jelly Belly Burger. It was delicious! It had a flavor profile of a hearty burger combined with aspects of sweetness. The pork belly was a great touch that complemented the burger well. The salad on the side was your typical caesar salad, nothing fancy. Service was great! The server did a great job serving us as we were a larger group. Brood & Barley is located in a cute area with a welcoming vibe.

Brood & Barley is a fantastic spot in Little Rock. The food is fresh and full of flavor and the vibe is that perfect mix of cozy and modern. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a spot in Little Rock that delivers on ambiance, flavor, and great drinks, Brood & Barley is a must-visit. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this restaurant. On a whim, my family and I decided to try this spot based on online pictures. None of us expected the food to taste better than it looked! The pictures online are an accurate depiction of what arrives at the table. It's been a long time since I ate somewhere where everything was on the mark. The service, the food, the drinks...Brood & Barley didn't miss! We got the shrimp appetizer, secret menu mussels, fried olives, fried mozzarella, philly cheesesteak, the umami burger, steak frites, lemon arugula risotto, and the chicken sammy for food. All were delicious! The gravy that came with the steak frites?? Just...wow. Drinks were top tier as well. The tomatini really surprised me. It was clarified like a martini, but tasted like a sweet bloody mary. I was impressed. The old fashioned, lemon drop martini, peach lemon drop martini, and NA hibiscus 75 were all a hit as well. But the thing that made us call the chef from the kitchen? - The banana bread pudding. ORDER IT! Round of applause to the FOH and BOH staff. Everyone deserves it.

Restaurant serves inside and outside! Perfect sitting options and the service was friendly! Food wait wasn't long at all and i currently scarfed down the chicken sammies in 3 minutes. A bit pricey but overall, really delicious!

We loved the ambience & food. The appetizers were standouts; great variety at fair prices! A good meal could be enjoyed by eating several apps! The Fried Olives and Cheese Fondue were faves. I loved the Bison & Hog Meatloaf, and my wife loved her Chicken Burger. House-cut chips are great, and the bar is well-stocked! (The Mojito w/out mint was the only weak-point.). Good service.

We'd been driving all day and just wanted a good meal. My boyfriend walked in first to ask about wait times and mentioned we'd have a service dog with us. The staff member he spoke with was immediately confrontational and said they don't allow service dogs .which violates the ADA, a federal law protecting service dog access. When my mom and I walked in with my dog, she tried to seat us on the patio instead of inside. I said I'd prefer to sit inside, and she looked at my dog and repeated that they don't allow dogs. I explained he's a service dog, which legally means he has to be allowed inside. She said "that doesn't matter." My mom pulled up the ADA guidelines on her phone and offered to show her, and she refused to even look. We asked to speak with the manager, and that's where things turned around. He was great -- apologized, said they do have a no-dog policy but that service dogs are an exception, and got us seated right away. Everyone else we dealt with after that was friendly and professional. I'll admit, in hindsight, I could have handled it a bit better too legally staff can only ask two specific questions about a service dog, and I could have just clarified that instead of jumping straight to asking for a manager. Brain fog from a long day of driving hit hard and I wasn't as patient as I could've been. Unfortunately the food didn't quite make up for the rough start. Both burgers we ordered came out overcooked, and the mac and cheese was pretty basic tasted like boxed mac and cheese with breadcrumbs on top. The salmon was probably the best dish of the night, but even that was just average. The manager handled the situation well, but a staff member turning away a service dog team and refusing to even acknowledge the law is a serious problem that needs addressing with training. For the people thinking that I probably had a face service dog that's why I have a put a picture of him below.

This place has a great vibe. Terrific food and fun cocktails. Service was on point. You can tell the folks behind the goodness care about what they do and have fun with it! This place is great and is now a new hangout

    Atlantic Crab Cake

You can definitely tell there are certain dishes that put this place on the map, while others feel more like supporting cast -- but overall, it's worth a visit. Crabby Fries: Good, but pretty basic. Solid fries with cheese sauce and an Old Bay-style seasoning. Nothing fancy, but not bad either. Dad's Meatloaf: A well-put-together dish. On their own, the components weren't super bold, but when you got a bite of everything together it was balanced and cohesive. Comfort food done right. Atlantic Crab Cake: Real, noticeable pieces of large crab. It leans more sweet/umami than savory, so if that's your vibe, you'll love it. The potato & roasted corn hash (served with it) absolutely stole the show -- hands down the standout on the plate. Cocktails: Get the Sweet Potato Lemonade. Great ambiance and great service. Some dishes shine more than others, but the hits definitely make it worth going.

Our project team came to Brood & Barley one night for dinner in downtown Little Rock AR, an d it was a worthwhile experience. When I walked into the restaurant, it reminded me of a old style neighborhood sports bar and eatery where the locals hang out and everyone knows each other very well. I would not compare this to "Cheers," but it was very similar. The ambiance is beautiful and loved the hardwood flooring and the old style bar. We arrived just in time for happy hour, and they had some excellent happy hour specials that we took advantage of for our team. We had the pretzel bites and the French fries which were wonderful. There was something else that someone ordered which appeared to be a salad , but could not remember what it was, but it tasted excellent. The menu was impressive and had a great selection of entrees. They even had a TV tray dinner entree where you can get your meal on a TV tray that came with a cookie for dessert. It was very creative and impressive, and my coworkers enjoyed it very much. I decided to go with the Dad's meatloaf entree which was bison meatloaf. It was absolutely the best meatloaf I have put in my mouth! I had never had bison meat before, and had heard it is healthy for you, so this was a very nice change of pace from regular meat. It tasted lighter and full of flavor and comfort. I loved every bite I took of the meatloaf! Our server, Kelsey, was excellent and full of high spirits. She did a wonderful job taking care of our project team. She was very professional and demonstrated excellent customer service. Brood & Barley is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant in downtown Little Rock, and I would be proud to come back here again if I am in town for business. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Little Rock AR for the first time. It has character and is fun to hang out with friends here for a drink and a great meal. There is nothing more you can ask for in a restaurant. Brood & Barely has it all!

Stopped into Flyway Brewing on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised by how quiet it was. The…read morerestaurant was clean, comfortable, and had the music at exactly the right volume present enough to create atmosphere without making conversation difficult. Nothing felt overwhelming or overdone, which made for a relaxed experience. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Water hit the table in under two minutes, and our beers arrived in less than five. That's the kind of efficiency every restaurant should strive for. Now for the food: * Cheese Curds ($8) - These arrived piping hot and fresh from the fryer. The curds themselves were crispy but fairly bland on their own. The ranch and Mimi's Red Sauce did a lot of the heavy lifting here and elevated the dish significantly. * Queso ($8, plus $2 for chorizo) - Very basic. Not bad, but not memorable either. It tasted like melted Velveeta with a little extra liquid mixed in. Perfectly edible, just lacking any standout flavor. * Pretzel ($6) - Easily one of the highlights of the meal. They accidentally brought us the espresso pretzel first before correcting it with the plain version we ordered. Surprisingly, both were excellent. Soft, fresh, and flavorful. * Smash Burger & Fries ($17) - The fries were fantastic: hot, crispy, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. The burger itself was average--exactly what you'd expect from a mid-range brewery restaurant. Good, but not something I'd specifically come back for. * Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries ($15) - The low point of the meal. The sweet potato fries were cold, stale, and honestly should never have left the kitchen. The chicken sandwich wasn't much better. The breading was overcooked to the point of tasting burnt, and there wasn't much flavor beyond that. * Bacon-Wrapped Quail Sliders - Another average offering. Not bad by any means, but nothing that stood out or justified ordering again. The beer is clearly the star of the show here. Flyway knows how to brew, and that's what would bring me back. The food ranges from good to disappointing, with only a few items really standing out. Overall: * Beer: 4/5 * Food: 2/5 * Service: 5/5 Flyway Brewing is worth visiting for the beer, atmosphere, and service. Eat because you're there, not because you're searching for an exceptional meal. If the kitchen can become as consistent as the brewery, this place could be something special.

I was picking up a book at the library and it's right next door, they advertised on the sign they have toiletries so I thought they might have toilet paper. I didn't see any so I asked. There was a woman filling a bag with ice cream and told the person behind the counter to get it from the back, the clerk was trying to ask her how much to charge, but she didn't respond and then she left. So the clerk comes back with one roll of toilet paper unwrapped like it was taken from their bathroom. I was like, ok, fine, thinking she might charge me .50¢ or $1. I also was buying a yerba mate drink. She rang it up and it was over $7, I asked how much the drink was she said $3.49, so you are charging me over $3 for a single roll of toilet paper, and she says yes. I said no, I will get toilet paper somewhere else, I am not paying you over $3 for a roll of toilet paper, that's insane. I gave her cash, she was still holding the money in her hand telling me I could get something else. I was so confused why she just didn't take that off, she had not put the money in the register, the transaction was not complete, she was still holding the money. I pointed at the money in her hand, and looked at her as if she was trying to make a simple situation hard. She kept repeating you can get something else, I've already rang it up. I wasn't about to argue with her in front of the small child sitting on the counter. So i said well can I get another drink? Still confused why she just didn't give me my money. So I just left with two yerba mate drinks, so strange. I went around the corner to another store and got 4 rolls of toilet paper in a package for $2.49. Seriously!

The atmosphere is great; the space was huge with indoor and outdoor seating, with a kind of vibe that is perfect for an evening out with friends. We made a last-minute reservation for a group of 22 (yikes!) at 6:30pm on a Thursday, and they happily accommodated us. We were seated in a private back room with plenty of space, and the décor was absolutely adorable (peep the photos!). I strategically sat next to friends who were willing to split appetizers, entrées, and dessert, which gave me the perfect opportunity to sample a few of their signature dishes. We started with the Beer Cheese & Pretzel and the Brussels & Bacon, and both were fantastic. The Brussels were the standout, wonderfully charred with a smoky flavor, while the maple bacon added just the right amount of sweetness to balance everything. For our entrées, we shared the STB Craft Burger and the Chicago Hot Dog. Choosing a favorite was nearly impossible, but the hot dog ultimately won me over. The toasted poppy seed bun was chef's kiss, and the combination of pickled vegetables and relish made every bite pop with flavor. But friends ... do yourself a favor and order the brownie à la mode (or, strategically place yourself between friends that like to share because we also got the honey vanilla sundae. ). I'm not being dramatic when I say it's the best brownie I've ever had. It wasn't dense, yet it wasn't cakey either--it existed in that beautiful, perfect, magical space between the two. Warm, rich, perfectly textured, and paired with ice cream... "otherworldly" is the only word that comes to mind. I'm only visiting from out of state, but I would gladly return to Little Rock just for another meal here. An incredible dining experience from start to finish.
