Tucked away in between a few other restaurants, you can find Delicious Thai Kitchen with beautiful artificial floral decor hanging from the top outside. The inside of the restaurant is a bit small and smelled a bit like cleaning supplies. One table had the restaurant's business papers and laptop on it. There are outside seats near the entrance. Restroom was clean. I dined in with my husband and we had the Thai tea, Thai coffee, khao soi with chicken, and massaman curry with brown rice. We were mistakenly given white rice initially but I reminded the waitress we ordered brown rice and she corrected it. The food was delicious with beautiful presentation. I liked how the khao soi with chicken had two big drumsticks. The chicken was fall off the bone tender. The massaman curry with tofu had cucumber and carrots. I don't think it had any whole peanuts like I've had in other curries. Both coconut milk-based dishes were outstanding with balanced and rich with flavor. Drinks were also nice and sweet with the perfect amount of sugar and cream. Based on the items we tried, the cooking is really good here and I would order the same items or try more if I come back. Service and timing of food were decent given many takeout orders appearing to be prepared.

Was looking for a new Thai place around Oakland and this one caught my eye just the ambiance alone and looked at their menu. Food taste amazing even looks with overall presentation touch of flower on top . The drunken mama was fresh and quite easy to eat and a surprisingly light flavors for Thai cuisine. The Pad Thai I always get when I go to a new Thai place given it's a staple Thai dish . This one is a little different has more of a tomato base flavor which I don't mind but I prefer the ones made of more tamarin base. The crispy wings was nice the pot stickers was good as well but a bit overpriced . Service was excellent very friendly and attentive staff we will definitely come back they do have a lunch special that's worth trying

I had just enough time to grab a quick lunch Wow I wish they were in San Francisco but I guess they're only 27 minutes across the bridge but I will definitely be back All I can say is the way that they cook their zucchini is divine. You would think you were eating an incredible mushroom or protein super great flavor flavors on the noodles as well. They know how to do tofu which seems straightforward but some restaurants just don't get it I'm a huge fan.

    Fried Chicken Fried Rice

The fried chicken was so fresh and delicious. The fried rice was tasty and I didnt feel "heavy" after eating it. The service was quick and friendly. We ate in the charming front patio area and enjoyed the beautiful sunny day

The Lao som tam is very good. The tom yum noodles are very delicious. Please come and taste the food at this restaurant.

Gorgeous presentation and delicious food. We had the Sweet Chili Fish and the Drunken Mama. Both were worth getting again. The crispy basil on top was tasty, and the fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Unique, flavorful, creatively-presented food. And friendly staff too!

Massaman curry with tofu & brown rice. Love the decor and plants!

Love the colorful decor and more importantly the food! I had the massaman curry with tofu and my friend had the pad Thai combo meal. The combo included an appetizer and drink; my friend got the spring rolls and Thai iced coffee. The curry was a bit spicer compared to other restaurants but not unbearably spicy. Service was friendly and fast. Prices were reasonable. I'd come back for sure and would get a combo next time (especially Thai iced coffee, which I've never tried).

I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious. The service is great and it's bigger on the inside than you think.

This is a hidden gem!! Food, service and not to mention presentation of the food all top notch.

What a great experience! The staff was all smiles and offered a cheerful greeting, even as they were cooking! We ordered the Fried Chicken Salad, Green curry w/ chicken, and Seafood Drunken Noodles. It was solid Thai fare with amazing flavors and the noodles were excellent. There is a little sweetness to the curry and noodles which may not be for everyone but I thought it helped to balance the heat a little. The service overall was exceptional. Friendly, welcoming and attentive without being smothering. We will come back again soon!

    Pad Thai Thai tea

They are so sweet!! Very friendly and go our food out quick. They als our flowers on everything and it's so cute . Both my friend and I really enjoyed it and they were friendly to every table so the energy is great. We got pad Thai curry Thai tea, and and appetizer and everything was super good!

    Khao Soi with Chicken
    David K.

Delicious Thai Kitchen features a beautiful leaf-shaded patio right off busy College Ave. The menu features a selection of Thai dishes, and we started with the Lao Papaya Salad, a crunchy, juicy mixture of shredded papaya, green beans, tomatoes, peanuts, and salted crab in a fermented fish dressing; and Larb, made of minced chicken mixed with cilantro, mint, scallions, toasted rice powder, and chili-lime dressing. Both of these were tasty starters, but I was most interested in trying their signature Khao Soi, made of egg noodles in a spiced curry soup, topped with pickled cabbage, red onions, lime, two braised chicken drumsticks, and crispy noodles for a crunchy texture. While the flavor of the curry broth and toppings were on point, the egg noodles were soggy and overcooked. Overall, the food here was decent and the service was friendly, though the prices were high for the portion sizes.

I ordered a couple of their popular dishes, the KAOKAO Char Siu Set and the Chong Qing Noodles, and both were fantastic. The char siu was so tasty, nicely cooked with most of the fat rendered (a big plus since unrendered fat especially on BBQ is a pet peeve of mine). It had that satisfying chew, a subtle smoky char, and a sweet-savory black bean glaze that tied everything together. The rice and pickled cucumbers on the side were a great balance to the in your face flavors of the pork. The Chong Qing Noodles were another highlight. You can tell the noodles are handmade as they are springy, chewy, and full of texture. The staff actually recommended that I get them uncooked since I was ordering to go, so I could boil them at home for a few minutes to keep the perfect bite and they were totally right. The broth was rich and balanced, with nutty sesame paste, a gentle kick from chili oil, a bit of crunch from peanuts, and some fresh bok choy for contrast. Everything was packed thoughtfully for takeout and still tasted amazing even after a longer drive. Overall, a really pleasant experience with great food, great service, and a place I'll definitely return to next time I find myself around Berkeley!

Kitchen Story nails the Korean-brunch mashup better than anywhere else I've found. The Kitchen Story benedict with millionaires bacon is a standout... crispy sweet and spicy bacon with poached eggs and hollandaise over asparagus and ciabatta toast, plus a side of crispy fried Yukon potatoes. The tornado eggs with galbi fried rice with that glossy brown gravy is another favorite, and the popcorn chicken (yes, served with actual popcorn mixed in) is a fun, addictive appetizer - or my 6yo favorite dish. Don't sleep on the stuffed French toast either, loaded with fresh fruit and a nice hit of powdered sugar. A few practical notes: this place is small and popular, so weekday visits or joining the virtual Yelp waitlist before you arrive is the move if you want to avoid a long wait. They also have a big TV that made watching World Cup games here a great bonus. Such a charming, unexpected touch that makes the whole experience feel more special. Come hungry, come early (or waitlisted), and don't skip dessert-for-breakfast options. Highly recommend.

Throughout the meal, he never checked on our table, even though we noticed him checking on the surrounding tables several times. At one point, the patio umbrella unexpectedly fell near our table.
