Because those are both better. But this is a locally owned business and I give them points for that. Service is interesting; you order at a tiny counter when you enter. The donut man seemed shy, and just a guess, surprised to see me. But he was polite. Next, you take your donuts to the cashier and pay. She seemed to try to smile. She seemed bored but was polite. Then you leave with your styrofoam container. The maple donut is fresh and tastes very good. 4 star for that. Still, I'm not sure I'd go back. Or that they would want me back. I couldn't tell. The place itself, by the way, was clean, quiet and modern looking, with a hygenic, comfortable appearance. To be constructive, I'd point out that the most comforting part of a dining visit is the people. To say you just let workers be themselves means Jitters has no interior brand. Train these employees in how to make people feel welcome. Like you're happy they're there. Like you want customers to come back. Sit-down customers seemed to be enjoying themselves well enough. So maybe I was overly picky or just misinterpreted the friendly charm. Remember, I'm just some fat guy.

So I guess no more Brick Street Bakery? Great location. No donut cases displaying donuts. We had to ask about the donuts and it was 8am. They had the "fancy" donuts, you know the ones that people get creative with cereals and stuff. No plain every day donuts. I got the apple fritter. It had cherries in it, I didn't know that. The 2 ladies that were there were super sweet. There is some seating inside and outside. And you can see the old architecture of the building inside and out which makes it fun. They are only open 6am-2pm. Will need to go back and try their pizza as I was not impressed with the donut.

We had to try the goodies.. so I got the maple frosted cake donut. I wasn't expecting much... I'm not a huge fan of cake donuts because every one I've had has left me dry-mouthed and searching for water... but not here! Brick Street's donuts were not dry at all! Moist and perfectly sweet! The coffee (we just have it black) was smooth and tasty. My husband enjoyed his gooey sticky-bun :)
