Very small place with a lot of gluten free options. Was in Gettysburg for a soccer tournament and ate dinner here all 3 nights! My son loved the sub rolls and it was hard for me to tell the sub rolls from regular bread! He finally tried the pizza on the third visit and really liked it as well. The first night they were really busy and the service was a little slow but worth the wait! Not much seating inside but you can always carry out as well! I don't know how the chain pizza stores stay in business with local pizza parlors like Deliso around. The menu has plenty of options for any taste, and I honestly don't know if you could get a bad pizza even if you tried. The sauce is absolutely incredible, and they are very generous with all of their toppings. Definitely worth the short drive outside of town to find this place. Highly recommend. read more

We always stop at Deliso Pizza when we go to Gettysburg since both my son and I are celiac. They have a great gluten free menu and neither of us have ever gotten sick. Food was pretty good. The rolls are or appear to be made in house. Decent servings noted in all the subs we got. Food was a pick up order and was ready pretty quick. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars, the person who cashed me out, apparently decided to give themselves a little more tip. Noticed it on credit card a few days later, not a lot extra probably just enough that most people wouldn't notice. I will debate if I return. Seriously, THE BEST Pizza ever!!? Hands down!! We loved it, and have had the real deal in NY, DC and Costco (teeheee)!! This was delicious. For $3 you got two slices of cheese and a soda. Great little spot, family run, casual, excellent pizza (and I'm picky about good pizza) and lots of gluten-free options! Our daughter is also dairy free so they made her GF pasta (they offer a few different kinds) with olive oil and garlic. Perfect! She also loved the GF sub roll with olive oil for dipping. After reading the reviews we decided to try this place out. The GF crust is amazing! It's crisp and tasty. We also got the GF ravioli which was good. The sauce is yummy. We also got a regular crust BBQ chicken pizza, chicken Parmesan pizza, and veal parmigiana. All the food was wonderful. The service was friendly and helpful and they had a great selection of beverages for both adults and kids. The facility is clean but out dated which wasn't a big deal for us at all. When we heard that Deliso was being sold and would be under new management, we were nervous about losing our favorite little pizza place. Not to worry!!! It is in very good hands! The new owner has continued the amazing standards, and is even adding new specialties to the menu. New owner is a humble, hard working guy, who definitely wants to run a top notch pizza parlor. I was able to try a gluten free version of their fettuccine Alfredo before it has made it to the menu.... and it even came with gf garlic bread. Wow! I hadn't had fettuccine Alfredo in six years because of my gluten intolerance, and I'm telling you, it is amazing, so creamy and flavorful. My family inhales the pizza and I consider Delisos the best place to get gluten free pizza. I've had the pepperoni and Greek style gf pizzas and they are so good. Prices are reasonable too. I'm so thankful that this guy and his family moved from the city to our small town to make a great pizza place even better. read more

Advice to tourists: 1)order by phone, 2) dress down, 3) expect a dumpy storefront on a country road and be prepared to clean your own table before sitting down, 4) don't get the Deliso special pizza (too salty with still raw veggies), 5) remember they can only sell you one beer. The pizza looks good if you like a thin crispy crust with sauce covering only about two thirds of the bread. But the crust is too salty and not yeasty. The sauce is good and so is the cheese but cheese is just barely melted. They have six packs of many types of beer for fair prices. They have many things besides pizza which might be better so you can avoid the over salted crust. The place was busy so the locals must like it. We're spoiled by Vito's Pizza in Clarksburg WV - best we've ever had! read more

This place was amazing!!! My sister and I were traveling to Gettysburg and rented an apartment with a full kitchen so we could cook our own meals and bypass the risk of contamination. When we saw the gluten-free reviews on the Find Me Gluten Free app, we just had to try it. I'm so glad we did!! After speaking with the owner and daughter of the owner, they are completely versed in cross contamination prevention. Not only did we have a wonderful, tasty meal but there was no contamination at all, which we have found to be somewhat difficult when eating in most public restaurants. We had the steak and cheese hot sub and it was just amazing! Way to go Deliso!! Too bad we live so far away otherwise we found our new favorite place to eat!! I recently had to start eating gluten-free and had heard that Deliso has great GF options. I stopped there for lunch and ordered a 6" Italian sub to go. I just couldn't get over that bread -- I really don't think anyone would know they were eating GF if they weren't told! A few days after that, I got a small GF "special" pizza to go. The server explained that GF pizza crusts tend to "get wet" easily, so she carefully vented the box. I didn't start eating it for about 15 minutes, but it was very good. Next time I'd like to try eating one on-site to see if there's a difference. I'm both happy and sad to have found this great GF option so close to home -- I'll have to exercise some self-restraint not to break the budget there... read more
