I never received a confirmation text for my appointment yesterday in Norwood MA location. I unfortunately had it in my calendar that it was for Friday. Without the text, which I'm happy to have anyone go through my phone, I also didn't receive any call that I was running late. I'm always punctual, I always call if I'm even 2 minutes behind. If they had called 5-10 after my appointment, I would have hopped in the car and made it there. Instead, I was charged automatically 25 minutes in while simultaneously getting a you missed an appointment email. The reception claimed the email was the reaching out yet I was Charged that very minute. I'm a loyal customer. I really would appreciate the refund so I can actually get my hair done. I think it's poor service for a receptionist yesterday to tell me to call back this morning and th manger in Norwood to really not care and say she can't do a thing about it. Which is untrue because when my hairs been messed up before by a new stylist , I've been given a redo for free as I looked a tiger one time. I know it's possible but the manager honestly sounded so apathetic and unwilling to even say a call could have been made before charging. I would love for a refund of $88.50 because I genuinely like the hair stylist I've used now for years. read more

While Karin did a great job, with the highlights and adding a toner, I was a bit surprised when checking out to pay. The cost was $251. My hair is not too long, just below my shoulders. I asked to use the $10 coupon and that was applied to the final cost of $241. Didn't expect to pay so much above $200. I booked an appointment for color and cut. the stylist looked at what my home town stylist normally does and said she would mix the same color. it has been a week, the roots are already fading. it was supposed to be all over color, she only did the roots. missed two sections. I asked for trim, she nipped the ends off the back, barely did the mimimum. the blow out was awful. worst experience ever. read more

I just spent $45 for half a haircut. Not happy. I moved and am looking for a new salon. I explained what I wanted and showed pictures of my usual cut. I get the sides shaved to skin. As the stylist is finishing, I tell them "the sides need to be shaved ti skin". They respond that they don't have the equipment to do that. WTF?? I have to return home and clean up my face before I head out because it looks horrible. Is it really so hard to clean up the mess you made? Yes because this place is always rushing and over busy. Angela is THE best hair stylist I have ever been to. I have been seeing her for a few years now and I have never had a single thing to complain about. I have recently moved to downtown Boston and will continue to drive to Norwood just to see her. All of the employees there are very friendly and it really does not seem like you could leave unsatisfied because everyone always leaves looking amazing. Angela also styled my hair for my wedding along with my bridal party. She did such an amazing job and traveled to the Cape to arrive up at 5:30am for my 9:00am wedding. I cannot begin to explain what an outstanding job she does every time....but I also kind of don't want to tell because I don't want to share. There was one occasion where I desperately needed to get my hair done last minute before a wedding and Angela was unavailable. DO NOT USE BRUNO. I went to Bruno to get a one-process color for my roots, a full foil and a trim. I've been to him before but he failed this time. Rather than just coloring my roots, he colored my blonde hair a dark dark brown which looks hideous and unnatural for someone my age and facial coloring. I told him the color was too dark and he said it would fade, which didn't make sense. He then gave me highlights so fine that the brown base is dominant. He cut 5" layers and thinned my hair but my style was almost one length before. Now my pony tail is thin and I can't even wear my hair in a bun because there's no volume. When I got home, I was in shock and called him and HE HUNG UP ON ME. I actually had taken photos of my hair right before seeing Bruno so I brought "before and after photos" to show the salon's management. The salon gave me a full credit but that's not the issue, which is that I'm stuck for some time with this horrible look. I don't even look like myself with this brown hair and I'm embarrassed. The salon advised that I wait before another full highlight which would break off my hair. What Bruno did to my hair is awful. It will literally take a few years to get it back to what it looked like, the blond highlights building organically and the hair growing to one layer. I don't wish this experience on anyone. read more

I left this place in tears. The stylists are very nice and humble but this is my second time coming here to fix a mistake and second time leaving upset. My first appointment was with Angela who attempted ombré highlights on me. They came out thick and chunky and made my head look like a zebra's. She acknowledged nicely and apologetically that there wasn't a smooth blend and that the blonde highlights came out orange. After a couple hours I just wanted to leave so she dyed the top of my head dark to hide the ugly orange highlights and had me come back on another day for toner to tint my highlights. This time, I decided to just get a plain, partial foil. Highlights all the way to my roots to brighten up my face. I asked the stylist to even out my layers too since they were choppy and uneven from Angela. I was so excited sitting under the dryer, anticipating beautiful blonde hair that I've been wanting for months now. Not only did it still come out orange, but it looks like a toddler took a paintbrush to my head. I accept some blame since I failed to mention that the previous stylist dyed part of my hair dark a few months back. Now my 4-inch roots are exactly the blonde I wanted, but I now have a straight, horizontal line in the middle of my hair of straight orange. I look like a damn multi flavored Popsicle. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear the stylist thought I asked to make the ends more choppy. I will never be going back. Lots of money spent just to make me look like a clown. read more

I have been a loyal customer since 2006, when Samara gave me my first highlights and a gorgeous layered, angled cut with great movement. Samara is petite and gorgeous-- you don't realize what a machine she is with a blow dryer until you see her wielding one like a weapon while juggling a round brush above your head; (seriously, pay attention to pick up her tricks!) She is a masterful colorist and knows how to flatter skin tone with the right 1-process and is great with highlights too. (My hair is a gorgeous red-tinged dark brown right now) She is fantastic about giving me not just what I say I want, but what she knows I can realistically handle. I'm a long-haired girl at heart, but every now and then, I come in and say, Samara, cut it all off-- I'm ready! But she knows for months after I'll lament the decision, so she acts as a voice of reason in a way. I know giving this rave review will probably make it impossible to get an appointment now, but in the interest of spreading good style karma, it's worth it. I highly recommend this salon and Samara! I think this salon has some of the best stylists around - everyone walks out looking great and happy and I pretty much always see the same staff when I go in but I have to talk about my 2 favorite stylists in the place! It is so hard to choose a favorite since both of them have helped me in so many ways after a traumatic experience..... I had been going to Jenny for a cut and highlights for about a year when someone urged me to go to another place to get my perm done, so I went and it looked great until my hair started to fall out - see I was pregnant and though they say it is "safe" to have your hair partially colored or permed when pregnant I think it takes a very skilled stylist to be able to time it just right and not overcook the hair, which is what happened to me! I went back to Jenny in tears and she helped give me a cut that not only hid it but also helped it get over growing back out! Then she went on maternity leave and I worried about going somewhere else since my hair was still transitioning I was recommended to Geno who not only helped continue what Jenny started, had me so comfortable with him that when it was time had me telling him to go ahead and cut it to where it needed to be, which meant going from long hair to close to short hair and I still feel great about that decision because my hair looks so healthy now and he has even helped me slowly get my hair back to straight, my natural color but with some "Geno wow" as I call it and my husband has even switched over to him. He even has me loving my straight hair for the first time in many years!! He will always listen to what you want and will never make you feel that your making the wrong decision but won't hold back when you ask him what he thinks you should do with your hair or what will look good! I mostly go to Geno now since his hours more often work for me and he always takes the time to teach me a styling trick with the blow dryer or even by mixing 2 products together, he doesn't hold back, is super funny and treats the assistants great! read more

Management left it to the stylists to communicate this out. I wrote a letter to the company and got a response that left me shaking my head. I was told on phone when making appointment they carried a certain product but only found out once in chair they did not. The amount of hair/dirt that is on base board and wedged above is disgusting. Have some pride in your business and clean, paint the walls like it is I don't know 2012 and get new blow dryer chairs. I needed a quick blow-out before an afternoon wedding. With about a week's notice, I was scheduled with Maria. She's pleasant and did a pretty quick job of blow-drying my naturally dry, curly, tough-to-manage hair. Stylists who aren't curly-hair veterans have been taken by surprise when I walk in with straight hair that poufs out uncontrollably once it's washed and starts to dry. Caveat: Maria did need to use a flat iron on my hair after she dried it. It takes me twice as long, but I'm able to blow dry my hair poker-straight without the potentially harmful effects of the flat iron. Overall, the experience was quick, easy, efficient, and reasonably priced. read more

They don't even have time to blow dry hair after you pay a lot of money to get it down. It's rushed. They DON'T treat their assistants well. Lacks professionalism and very poor management. The manager Melissa has a huge attitude problem. I also heard Bruno (one of the top stylists there) hitting on everything that moved and arguing with his clients! I can't. I have been going to the same stylist here for years (can't remember how many exactly, 10 - 12). I have tried to find others when I moved to the north shore, but in the end I decided to drive an hour to get my hair cut by Samara because I couldn't find anyone to match her skills. I have very difficult thick hair, but she is awesome. She was actually originally recommended for me by one of the owners. Thank goodness now I am back on the south shore so she is only 15 min away! Fantastic salon! After scary experiences elsewhere, I called Dellaria and they set me up an appointment. The girl that answered the phone was very professional and thorough as I explained to her what I wanted, and she explained to me the difference between stylists, as well as the difference in prices. She actually found me an appointment with a Master stylist, John, who never really has openings, so it was awesome! On my appointment day, everyone there was very friendly, and kept asking if I wanted anything to drink. John was amazing! He was a fantastic personality, and very knowledgeable about hair and different styles. He gave me a beautiful color and cut, and also helped me set up my appointment in advance. Just got a Christmas bundle of blowouts, so I thought I'd try the closest Dellarias from my house. My hair is an easy blowout so I figured I couldn't go wrong choosing "any hairdresser".. I came to get it done for my NYE party so I didn't have to do it myself. After I signed in and sat down the girl came up to me and told me what direction to walk in. Didn't ask my name or how I was doing or introduce herself. I figured maybe she would just be washing my hair not the hairdresser. Nope. She didn't know to comb my hair from tip to root, she separated and combed through with her fingers.. Which I'm sure pulled a few of my curls out with that. Complete silence the whole hair wash. I finally asked her name when I got in the chair. Then back to silence until the end. Super boring, hair is whatever. Scratched me a few times even though she has short nails, asked ME what she would put in my hair after?? Some of the hair is straight, some curly. I should have just stayed home and done it myself. (I will be touching it up before my party myself anyway) I def won't be going back to this Dellarias if I go back to any at all. Super disappointed, what a waste of my time. read more
