3 years later and I'm back with another review! As always, we made our yearly trip to Dell'Osso Family Farms on a WEEKDAY to truly enjoy the experience. I paid $74 and some change for 3 people (my 1 year old was free) We arrived around 1pm and got parking right in front. Before going through the front gates they have porta-pottys available for use. We entered through the front gate "reserved online tickets" section, quick and easy. Heads up, NO Apple Pay here & if using a card, you'll need to show I.D. so be sure to bring it with you. There were a few new attractions this year that were a total hit with my kids especially Thrill Hill! I had such a blast on this too, so glad they brought it to the pumpkin patch! I would've gone many more times if it weren't for having to carry my own tube + my 6 year old's up every time we went lol. Lines were short (if any) We managed to do everything but the pig races and carousel (which I didn't want to pay extra for anyways lol) We spent a total of 5.5hrs here and the kids had a blast, they definitely left exhausted, my 1 year old fell asleep the second he hit his car seat. Many playground / play structure options for both of my kids 1yo/6yo, majority of the things were definitely toddler friendly especially tiny town. Both of my kids equally enjoyed everything. Haunted house had probably 2 actual "scary" areas but definitely super dark so just keep that in mind! My ONLY complaint was the crappy service from the blue haired employee working the jumping pillow Tuesday evening around 5pm. She genuinely seemed to have hated her job and the attitude she had (with other parents, not even me) was just horrible customer service. She should be given a position where she doesn't have to deal with people honestly. But I won't dock stars for 1 employee when this establishment is huge and the many others I personally interacted and seen with other customer were very pleasant. The "real" bathrooms were a nice touch! Glad they were added and made it such a hassle free process to change my baby and use the restroom myself. The porta-pottys weren't bad but I do appreciate the upgrade. They still have porta-pottys near the jumping pillow, near the real restroom, and out front before entering. Easily reserved tickets same-day after the half moon bay options sold out. A much further drive out of the Bay Area, but worth avoiding the crowds. The farm is HUGE with a ton of attractions all spaced out. We had to wait 45minutes for the train but most of the line is under shaded cover so it wasn't too bad. The Pumpkin patch itself is pretty small and not too many selections but all their other attractions make up for it. Plenty of parking and you pay one flat fee to access all attractions so that makes it easy. My little ones loved the animals and ability to feed them. Goodish...definitely could use some improvement. Definitely different from when I was a kid. 1- the bathrooms. They are "real" bathrooms now and not potta potties. It's a building that's pretty open in the front. But...it could have been cleaner. Also it's not truly "separated" by men's/womens - it's sorta a large space with an open area - women's on the left and unisex on the right - just of bathroom stalls. Just to say, as always watch your back / your children. The sinks are a trough outside- it was ok but didn't feel super clean. A man was straight up washing his feet in it. So "good" since I've been there that they aren't porta potties, but not so great for the cleaning and the sink situation as well as safety. (Specifically I had a creepy guy hit on me earlier in the day, and later ran into him when we both were leaving the stalls in the bathroom, not very pleasant. Luckily my boyfriend was right there, but that's why I'm saying to watch your back). 2. The food Ok, food was pretty good and decently priced. For example, 3 chicken tenders with fries was 15 bucks I think (compare that to a theme park which is like 20/30). I also really liked that they had a whole beer area. However, they could have had better beer selections. The best was probably the cider flight, which was 4 kinds in pretty decent sized cups. Beer and cider pricing wasn't bad either- I think we paid 25 for the beer and the flight. The bad? Seating and the noise. It was so crowded - we had trouble finding seating both at the beer area and when we ate later on. Like had to wait for people to move / sit next to other people that were kind of/ we also let people sit next to us. Just kind of hard to do when hands are full. The noise in the beer area was insane. There was this over speaker and the lady was shouting into it- it was like being front row at a rave. Good thing I had earplugs in my purse- so I would highly recommend ear plugs for you and your family just in case. Without them it would have been unbearable, and of course it was way over the safely decimal limit. 3. The attractions - corn maze, was cute and its nice to find the overlook but other than that it's ok. - The haunted house is now called the haunted castle- so I was really looking forward to it...but honestly it was better 10 years ago. It just wasn't as scary or interactive. Mainly walking down a dark hallway looking into scary scenes and having someone pop up every now and then. It really felt like a post covid situation that never adjusted back. Disappointing since this was the part I was looking forward to the most. -the slide: it was ok and although I personally didn't have a "problem" with the staff...omg. The whole line was getting screamed at the whole time...it was odd. It felt like TSA times 10. Maybe they were tired? Overworked? Underpaid? Understaffed? All the above? They made it very clear to us over and over while in line that there was no guarantees that groups would go together. So you very easily could be separated! This I found odd...I never had a slide experience like that. At the top before going down, a toddler almost went down without his family...wow. I was taken aback by that. It was a bit of a scene, lots of drama for a slide ride...And truly just sorta ridiculous. Again, more yelling from the staff. -the animals: the unsung hero of this saga. Could watch animals doing their thing or pay a few bucks to feed them which I throughly enjoyed. I'm not sure if we'll be back. It wasn't the worst pricing wise, but also really wasn't that great. If they upgraded the bathrooms and the haunted house and added more seating...then it would be a whole lot better read more

I would give this a 3.5 stars as family experience. Pros: this place is huge and there are tons of activities suitable for kids both littles and older. My daughter loved all the play areas, jumping pillow, and especially teeny town. She really loved being in the teeny town parade. The corn maze looked really fun but we didn't get to try it because it was getting dark. Cons: lines for the rides are long. The train line looked to be at least 80-100 deep and the spinning pumpkin line was also quite long so we didn't get to go to either. The price is quite steep at $30 per person. There is enough to do for a whole day but of course you are outdoors the whole time and don't have modern conveniences like bathrooms (at least for us all we saw were portable toilets) Recommendation: go on a weekday where crowds will be substantially less. We had so much fun at the pumpkin patch this year. There were plenty of activities for all ages. I really enjoyed the Apple shooting canon. I've never seen this at any other pumpkin patch. You start by buying a bucket of apples and put the apples one by one into a canon to shoot at targets. The Rat Roller was also a fun activity for the kids. It's a giant black tube that the kids can climb into and walk up and down the field with. There were pony rides and pig races. The haunted house was okay. There is a corn maze, which we didn't get a chance to go through this year. They had a very delicious selection of hard cider. Their smoked turkey legs were among some of the best that I've ever had. I'm not a huge chicken tender person, but theirs was super juicy and better than anticipated. We spent all day at the pumpkin patch but still were not able to finish all of the activities. Del Osso is great! We love when they open for Halloween season! My family and I always get the season pass (if you come 3 times, it's paid for) we try to go once a week, every week in October. There is so much to do, and my kids always have the time of their lives. I am hoping that they open for Christmas on the Farm this year, I really miss that since they've stopped doing it! This was my first year coming to Dell'Osso Family farm and I really enjoyed it. Although a somewhat pricey admission in comparison to others, there are definitely a plethora of activities to keep you busy for a day! I was here for a couple hours due to time constraints but I definitely could have spent more time. The corn maze was pretty challenging and large. Mini golf and the haunted house were also entertaining! Beware - for younger children the haunted house actually is very scary. I had a couple jump scares while in there and there are actors that will scream in your face and chase you. Fudge from the bakery was great- I have yet to try the jalapeño jam that I ordered but cannot wait. Good selection of pumpkins- definitely worth a visit during the fall! Everything about this farm/pumpkin patch was fantastic. We came on a Saturday and even though so many people were there, it didn't feel crowded because there's sooo much space. Parking was free and they have staff directing everyone in an orderly fashion. Also the port a potties in the front were some of the cleanest ones I've ever witnessed surprisingly lol. You can buy tickets ahead of time online or buy them there. Highly recommend to BRING CASH though y'all!!! I would've been screwed had I come here without my bf cause I heavily rely on Apple Pay and never bring my cards with me lol. There is an atm inside though that we didn't see until we were on our way out. You get a map of the place and the lady at the ticket booth was so nice and informative when we told her it was our first time there :) once inside, we went to get the cider flight, they also have pizza which apparently is really good but we didn't get it. Everyone loved the cider flight except one of the flavors but I don't remember which one it was. We watched pig races, did the rat race (SO funny because we tried to race each other and ended up falling and rolling lol), haunted house wasn't too scary but it was spooky even during day time, fed farm animals, mined for gems to get pretty crystals, got kettle corn, surprisingly did the corn maze in 15ish minutes, checked out the vendors, and much more I'm probably forgetting. The ticket included all of the attractions except for maybe four which were like $5 each if you decided to get in line for them. We love coming to Dell Osso Family Farm! Since moving to River Islands, we've been getting season passes every year for the past 4 years. And we make sure it's worth it! The majority of things are included in the pass minus gold mining, pumpkin blasters, mini golf , and the animal stuff. Besides that, the kids get to roam free! They built the tiny town within the last couple years and we love it so much. There's attendants everywhere and they make sure the park is well taken care of. There's multiple parks all over, a train, climbing structures, duck races, a haunted house, and of course the corn maze. For adults, we absolutely love Cider Hill. Fall vibes in full effect with a cider flight, craft beers, fresh pizza and beautiful sunsets. I took away a star because of the bathroom situation. We HATE porta potty's. They are currently building actual bathrooms on site this fall, but I wish they made them sooner, especially since we have a school field trip there next week lol. We make the drive to Dell'Osso once per year for Halloween time. This place is best suited for smaller families with kids around 5-12, but all ages will have a good time. We always pick a weekday to go, as it's way too busy on weekends. We also plan to stay the whole day to get through all of the attractions. My daughter loves Teeny Town. Today we spent 2 hours there. We went to the pig races which is where you can win attraction tickets for the carousel and pumpkin painting. The pumpkin patch is fairly priced, .45 cents per pound. If you just want pumpkins, this is not the place for you. This is for the people who want to do everything. The maze, haunted house, jump pillow, thrill hill, slides and playground, and giant trikes are great. My daughter has the best time and then crashes out on the ride home. We brought our dog and she was treated well, one of the maze attendees offered her water. We got turkey legs, horchata, dip n dots, and waters while there, all in we spent $130 for a family of 3. We stayed the full 8 hours and still didn't do everything. It is one of the best overall patches in driving distance of the bay area! read more

They're making a killing, charging close to $29 bucks per person! This was my first time here. They have a great selection of attractions for all ages. So many activities, food, shops: - For kids, they have a tire stack for kids to climb on, a mini racetrack for tricycle racing, and a merry-go-round. - Booths that offer face painting, gifts, and trinkets. - Costume shop with a 20% deal for farm attendees. - Pumpkin patch with a decent variety to select from. - Food booths selling stuffed baked potatoes, nachos, pizza, corn on the cob, loaded fries, churros, etc. - Live entertainment (someone was paying homage to Selena) They also have a corn maze, which I opted out of. Cool Patch's Corn Maze in Dixon did it for me, so I was too tired. For the adults they have hard apple cider flights at a separate area in the farm. They serve great pizza by the whole pie. We came here on a weekday with my toddler for the pumpkin patch fun! It was such a fun day! We actually ended up spending the entire day here. There was so much to do. My toddler loved the play structure, pig races, and the obstalce course. But as adults we had so much fun with everything else. Most things were suitable for my 2.5 year to play with. We didn't go to the haunted house cause I'm a baby when it comes to that. The only thing I really wish they had was a petting zoo, but they had animals that you can feed. I do wish for the corn maze they had little riddles for the public to solve to lead them in the right direction. You just kinda aimlessly walk around until you find the exit. I think coming here on a weekday was the thing to do! I've read reviews about how crowded it was for everything on the weekend. We absolute had no lines for anything. We did things multiple time to our hearts content. Food: Apple Cider Donuts were amazing! Soft. Fluffy. Perfectly sweeten. Pumpkin pie - delicious! You can really taste the pumpkin and not artifically over powered. I wish i had more room in my stomach to try all the pies! Overall: I had a great experience here! I discovered this farm while living in the Bay Area and even after moving away to another state, moving back to California, and bringing my now grandchildren to this place - it is STILL the best pumpkin patch in Northern California. We went yesterday - weekdays will definitely increase your experience because if you don't like crowds well weekends are crowded because it's an amazing place! - Parking is FREE - it's 20-30 per person for entry (under 3 is free I believe) - There ARE restrooms available (not just porta potty's) - ATM fee to get cash is $1 Most of the activities are included in the entrance fee with a handful of exceptions which makes sense because they cost the farm to provide them. I have been going to this farm for at least 6 years and now have almost two year old twins who join me for the fun. It's expensive to get in and I would prefer to order online, however it's the best pumpkin patch within an hour of Stockton. It does cost extra for Merry-go- round $5, for apple shooting $8 a basket, feeding animals $5, pony ride $10 and possibly mining and pumpkin painting. So much free stuff to do: mini golf, train ride, hay ride, pig races on weed days are at 5 and 7, big pillow, tire pyramid, random bicycle, corn maze, haunted house, obstacle course, barrel roll, spinning pumpkin ride, giant slides, teeny town. They charge $32 admission per person and even have the audacity to charge families with small children PER RIDE (like the carousel, petting zoo, etc.). $5 per person to ride a carousel? Wow, just wow..... As you guys may not know, they raised their prices. There are no child prices, it's one standard price for everyone. If you come on the weekend, expect to pay $32.95 just to get in the door. Fridays is $28.95, and weekdays is 23.95. Now for the most part people are at work during the week, so less family coming during that time. But yea let's just up charge people on the weekends. Think about it, a family of 5 would pay $164 coming on the weekend. Which they know, so why not up charge an extra $10 a head.....the price is not worth what you get. This year they turned the patch into like a "fair". Oh and the food, is NOT what it used to be. Back in 11' I came here for the first time. And I had a slice of pumpkin pie and it was the best I had ever had. I came back 5-7 years later, and this pumpkin pie is terrible. It's about on par with Costco pumpkin pie. It was the one thing I would look forward to when coming. And they changed up their pumpkin patch picking. They don't have small size pumpkins to choose from. Only really small pumpkins or big ones. So they basically make the consumer make a choice. Do I just get a really small pumpkin with less surface space, or do I pay more for a bigger pumpkin that has a bigger space to carve.....hmmmm you pay more based off weight of pumpkin. this is all done intentionally to squeeze us all. It's just not the same. It's really just a big money squeeze.....I would recommend going somewhere else, you might just save more money doing that instead. My best memories of this place back in the day include tubing down the long snow slide during Christmas time, unlimited for a small price. During Halloween season, it was also cheap to visit the farm and engage in the few activities they offered at the time, just 5 bucks for the pumpkin blasters, an awesome corn maze, shopping for pumpkins, visiting the Country Store without having to wait in any lines. It was your classic farm with extras that made it better than other pumpkin farms out there, and no crowds. Now it's transformed into this full blown fair atmosphere with a lot more attractions (mostly for kids) and theme park prices for everything... admission tickets, games, rides, food, etc. It's still pretty great, but in a different way, and slightly overpriced IMO. Many people think tickets should cost less for kids, but for this place, I think it should cost less for adults because they don't offer much that appeals to grown ups. They always have a great corn maze that's fun to get lost in, and it's large, so this isn't just for kids. I can't say the same for the haunted house. It's not super cheesy and kid-friendly, but it's not a real haunted house, and a lot of parts have no actors during the walk-through, just sets. For little ones, maybe the costumes/sets may look a bit frightening. But otherwise, the experience is not scary at all. The farm has pretty typical fair activities (pig racing, animal zoo, pony rides, vendor tents, caricature artist, train ride, carousel, playground structures, etc). There were also a couple more unique activities, like an obstacle course, and rat rollers (aka human hamster wheel). We actually tried the latter because they have both kids and adults sized tubes and it didn't cost extra so I was curious. It was fun, my bf and I did it together, they're pretty lax and don't monitor if people follow the rules here. Their newest attraction, Tiny Town, looks cute (for kids). The "entertainment" stage was pretty sad looking, with almost zero audience, but there was a guy doing karaoke there, lol. My favorite activity here is the pumpkin blasters. I used to come here when they used actual mini pumpkins but the worker said they can't get the pumpkin seeds anymore so they changed it to apples 3 years ago (though they still call it "pumpkin blasters"). The blasters are pretty powerful, 100 miles per hour, and the targets are simple but fun, a couple wrecked cars from the auto dismantler and a few halloween themed targets. The Country Store had a lot of yummy chocolates, fudge, and cookies, which we tried a few. I loved the strawberry shortcake cookies, and peanut butter cookies. And the pumpkin patch had a good variety of pumpkins, from jumbo sized (that people had to use wheel barrows to transport), to the cute little mini pumpkins. There wasn't a large variety of the tiny ones, but I got a couple tiger babies for my bunnies at home. And there's pumpkin painting as well in the pumpkin patch area which looked like a fun art activity. There are a few food options (hot dogs, burgers, fries, nachos, loaded baked potatoes, pizza and beer), and a couple different seating areas for eating, mostly shaded. The parking lot is fairly large, with about 5 different entrances (but they tell you which one to go), and it was fairly crowded on a Saturday afternoon so traffic was a bit slow. But the lines for admission to the farm weren't bad. In fact there was no line for e-ticket entry, only for purchasing tickets on site at the ticket booth.  So again, overpriced, but it's still a fun time at Dell'Osso for the holidays. read more

came on a friday for the pumpkin patch experience. it is cheaper than the weekend, and there weren't many people, surprisingly. it was the week before halloween. it's more of a fairgrounds than i expected. there is a huge table area in the center of various food stalls. signs are very cute and colorful. the pumpkin patch can be disappointing. the magic is lessened when you can see the pallets of pumpkins nearby, but the selection was great. there are many reasonably priced play options for children and some for adults. we enjoyed the gem mining, apple blasters, and tandem kart pedaling. the corn maze was fun; i was in there for over an hour. right by the corn maze, they have a cider house, where you can sample a flight of delicious hard ciders. it has changed a lot since i last came. i was pleasantly surprised with the parking situation; i didn't have to walk too far, and they pick up the pumpkin wheelbarrows for you. read more

My first time to Dell'osso Farms to celebrate the Halloween season. The venue is pretty large and they have a wide variety of activities to choose from. Corn maze, haunted house, train ride, pumpkin patch, a place you can launch pumpkins at targets and some other activities! There is a good selection of food as well, but the lines are long and sometimes the wait for food can be long as well. I would say thats the only downside really. I also wish the cornmaze had clues that helped guide you around the maze instead of just free walking in any direction. It would be more interactive that way. I feel like this is the biggest pumpkin patch-y area in the Central Valley and the Bay Area. There is a lot to do - 2 corn mazes, mini golf, pumpkin blasters, pumpkin painting, gem mining, haunted house, and a handful of activities and rides for children. The pumpkin patch itself is kind of small, with some patches of pumpkin plus people lining up to take photos on haystacks. There is also lots of food there as well ! Unfortunately I got some food about an hour before the farms closed so some food was out and I had to go to another stand to buy things, so I wish the service would have been better in posting a sign up of what was out so people knew not to wait in that line (also the food is pricy). Two things I wanted to try before I left the place was their apple spice donut and apple cider. The apple cider is really good, but very sweet, literally 58 grams of sugar (so fyi I did not drink it in one go). The apple spice donut was really good too ! There's definitely some activities I missed out here but if you happen to be near Manteca/Modesto in October, it could be a fun place to go with a group of people. Come here if you're OK with waiting in lines that move pretty quickly. They are VERY efficient at crowd/line control. The slowest line will be the tractor and the train since they are limited seating capacity. They have both port-a-potties and an indoor plumbing restroom pavilion with flushing toilets and handwashing areas. Wear comfortable shoes, as most of the walking surfaces are dirt/gravel. If you choose to wear slippers, you will not be happy and you will feel every piece of gravel. Do not come here expecting to see fields of pumpkins or a pumpkin patch or an aesthetic place for a pumpkin patch photoshoot (too many people and poor evening lighting). The pumpkin patch is almost an afterthought and carving pumpkins are priced at almost $0.50/lb. If you're looking for a more aesthetic pumpkin patch experience, support your local mall parking lot patch, or visit the many small farm patches in the Brentwood area. Don't worry about feeling like you need to support their "agricultural" operations. They supply pumpkins to many grocery stores. Their claim to fame is truly their corn maze and most of the Dell'Osso wealth is in their land-real estate portfolio (the adjacent River Islands community). Tip: try to come in the late afternoon and finish your day with a nighttime attempt at the corn maze (bring a flashlight and a jacket--the field gets cold). If you enjoy alcoholic beverages, they have a great cider/beer/wine offering in their "Cider Hill" area. If you wanna save some money, pre-game in the car and finish your drink while you wait in the ticket line (discreetly). No real "bag check" but they do have plenty of police presence throughout the park. This is a family environment, so leave the drama/contraband at home. No free drinking water. Food options look great and are fairly priced. If you come with low expectations, you'll see the value and have a great time. If you're needing to justify the up to $30 admission, you will not be pleased especially if you're coming from the Bay Area. read more

We have been going for years and never had any issues until today. First off I am impressed with all of the new things they added this year. When we got there we were directed which way to go for parking. We looped all the way around and there were no spots to park. I asked one of the guys directing traffic if there was additional parking. He said no we had to keep circling until a car left. We got there at 12 when it opened. My daughter is 5 years old and is afraid to go on merry go rounds by herself. I always go with her and just stand next to her while she is on the horse. I have never ever had to pay to stand up next to her. I have gone on countless merry go rounds with her and never had to pay. I don't remember ever paying there before either. This was the first year having to pay which I feel was dumb since I'm not even getting on a horse. We witnessed a boy break the light in tiny town and the man that was yelling at the employee for not keeping the boy there was so rude to the poor employee. He made the employee go look for the boy and bring him back. No one deserves to be yelled at. read more

I understand this review is a bit delayed since Halloween passed already. However, I still wanted to provide some feedback. I truly enjoyed seeing animals (horses, ostrich, chickens, sheep, goats, etc). My dad and my husband LOVE animals so I enjoyed them being able to see them. The corn maze was great!!! My family and I had a lot of fun :) We ended up coming out the same way we started. I am unsure how that happened. It was really fun though. The food sold here was pretty good. We ordered corn, chicken tacos, quesadilla, and a turkey leg. Oh, and the dessert was super good. It was some sort of apple strudel. We were hoping to get the apple cider donuts but they ran out by the time we showed up. The apple strudel was YUMMY! The haunted house was 2/10 scary, thankfully. People walked in a line continuously so there was no time for the workers to chase us, as they previously have in other haunted houses I have visited before. There was an area with games at no additional cost, which I loved! My husband "accidentally" bounced the basketball on my head but all good. It was still fun. I would go back next year and I would go back to try the apple cider donuts and eat the apple strudles again. read more
