Cutest little diner with amazing fried fish , fresh cut fries and coleslaw! Don't forget their ice cream, milkshakes and malts! Can't wait to try the coneys next! We'll be back after another long day of boating!

Dellroy Drive-In isn't exactly bad. I wouldn't call it good either. It is what it is. A roadside greasy spoon in rural Ohio. When judging on those criteria, you certainly could find worse greasy spoons out there. The menu here is to be expected -- lots of deep-fried foods, burgers and dogs, and soft serve ice cream. You especially can't go wrong here grabbing a quick cone to go on a hot summer evening. The highlight of the food options is the fish sandwich and fried fish combo if you're looking a decent bite. The actual restaurant is okay. A few picnic tables outside justify the drive-in monicker, and there is seating inside for about 30 in a very cramped dining area. The pink and turquoise exterior and faux-50s decor leaves little to be desired. All in all though it's fine for what it is. There isn't a lot going on in this area as far as dining opportunities. If you're wanting a nice summer treat after boating on the lake, that's about the best this establishment can offer.

Smash burgers are not very good. Fish dinner is what is expected mediocre. Ice cream is always good.

The ice cream was fantastic! The food was served fast. It's a very compelling option in this town.

A very cute drive in with a 1950's ambience. Must try their ice creams. They are decadent and extremely light. Definitely a gem in Atwood!

One of the biggest reasons we chose it was because they advertised a dog-friendly patio. Before being seated, my husband specifically went inside to speak with the hostess because rain was expected soon. The hostess acknowledged the forecast, and my husband said we were completely fine sitting under the patio umbrellas as long as the restaurant was okay serving us outside. She assured us that it was not a problem. We were seated on the patio and intentionally looked through the menu quickly because we wanted to minimize the server having to come outside in the rain. When the server came out, she immediately commented about the weather and was clearly upset about having to serve the patio. We were sympathetic and tried to be as easygoing as possible. What happened next was honestly bizarre. She pulled out her notepad and just stared down at it without saying a word. We ordered drinks and then sat there in silence waiting for any kind of acknowledgment or follow-up like, "What would you like to eat?" After about 15 awkward seconds, she finally looked up visibly irritated. I ordered, she wrote it down without saying anything else, and then stormed back inside. At that point, we decided we no longer felt welcome. We brought the waters back inside and told her she could cancel the order. Her response was simply, "Are you sure?" The entire interaction consisted of maybe six words total from our server. We later called to let the manager know what happened. While they did apologize, the only solution offered was for us to place a to-go order instead. That completely missed the point. We weren't looking for free food or special treatment -- we just expected basic hospitality after being explicitly told they were happy to serve the patio despite the weather. This entire situation could have been avoided if the restaurant had simply told us upfront that patio service during the rain was an issue.

The farm-to-fork approach truly shines in every dish. The king salmon and summer Marea were, without question, the best my husband and I have ever had. Each bite delivered a perfect harmony of flavors that felt both vibrant and refreshing. The bread service, especially the focaccia, was outstanding, and the crispy cauliflower was another standout. Every dish felt creative, fresh, and beautifully executed. Pat, our amazing server, made every part of dinner a pleasure. From the hostess to Chef Nathan and the dessert team, every interaction added to the experience. We had a lovely time though we weren't thrilled about sitting in the tiny side room at the tiny 4-person bar with our backs to the room...it felt cramped. Our server helped us choose the perfect bottle of wine from an extensive collection. The apples and rice appetizer was excellent..like arancini balls. My husband had the duck and liked it. I had the lumache which was just ok. The pasta was a little too al dente and the large clumsy shells didn't seem like the right shape for the delicate dish. It was supposed to come with shrimp, but surprise...nope! It came with lobster. I find lobster a bit sweet and thought shrimp would have worked better. This girl is usually in the clean plate club when it comes to pasta and seafood dishes but not tonight. I will say that the dessert alone was worth the one hour drive.. the smoked smores arrived with a bell jar of smoke which the server whisked off to reveal a delectable gooey to-die-for cake smothered in caramel and marshmallow. Did I mention it came with two cups of hot white chocolate to pour over the whole thing? Omg..drool-worthy.

We visited on a chilly February evening and all the fireplaces were in use. I love it when there is a fire, the aroma just adds to the ambience. We had the Bruschetta, which was quite marvelous. Very tasty. There is a wine list, but it used to be better. A bunch of lower tier options, with a smattering of maybe 4 quality bottles. We did order a bottle of the house red, and it is sweet, flat, and heavy. My wife gave up on her glass and got a house Cab Sauv, which wasn't much better. We should have gone with the Stag's Leap Cab like she wanted. Dinner was the Filet Mignon and the Steak and Cake. The Filet was excellent and the Maryland Crab Cake was delicious. The Steak with the crab was good, but underwhelming. Desert was a strawberry chocolate cake. It was good. Overall. Great place, great ambiance, good waitress, and good food. Final price was @$217 plan accordingly. That said, we planned and were looking forward to splurging. Yes, I should have splurged more for the better wine too We will be back.
