Everything about Delphinium makes it the perfect gift shop. From the quirky things you didn't know you had to have to the Devine that you can't live without. I bought my granddaughter the most incredible stuffed ostrich with rhinestone collar and fluffy feathers. I travel here for all my greeting cards, they are unique and not found elsewhere. Small hostess gifts? This is the place. NY things? This is the place. I have to mention the staff, charming, adorable, could not be more helpful. A lot of creative and innovative items for the home and for gift ideas, and a nice selection of greeting cards. They have a great selection of gifts and home items, but I don't care about that stuff. I like unique birthday and Christmas cards and I thought I was going to have to go all the way back to Exit 9 in Brooklyn to get cards for the holidays but I found this place and my needs were met 100%. The guys in the store were very nice and super helpful and the selection was fantastic. Now they are located on 47 street , between 8 th and 9 avenue ,in a location that is twice the size of the old store ! Such a cute, jam-packed store with awesome household items. Everything has a cute touch, like sponge holders that are in the shape of animals, funky bathmats, and wonderfully smelling lotions. It's a bit cramped, but it's worth crouching down for adorable items. Great for housewarming or birthday gifts. Sadly, I was looking for a muffin baking tin, but they had none. However, I'd definitely come back knowing now what they have. I might suggest coming here if you're waiting to be inspired, not so much if you have a specific item in mind. read more

We picked up picture frames for my sister and my parents at Hanukkah time, a rubber duck for my nephew and I was eyeing a shower curtain and a cool clock for myself. It is small but very eclectic, which I find to be a real time-saver when I shop. It's easy to take care of multiple gift needs here for a wide variety of people and still have a good time yourself. Came here for a birthday present and card, and found so many things that were PERFECT! It's nice to have such a sweet little gift shop around the corner from such a touristy area. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because its a bit pricey, not that I blame them,their rent is probably sky high. But expect to spend a pretty penny in there, but totally worth it. This is my favorite neighborhood gift store. They have everything! I needed a box and some wrapping paper/bow/card for a gift and so this was the obvious choice as it's half a block from me. It's also the obvious choice because they have the most beautiful selection of gifts, candles, frames, etc. It's a great place to buy a nice birthday/anniversary, etc gift. I went in and on the off chance they sold them, asked for a box. The really friendly guy at the register found a box and made sure it fit and then gave it to me. So nice! I went and found the perfect gift wrap, they have a good selection of all different kids, picked up a card from their rather large collection, got some tissue paper and beautiful material to make a bow and then was off!
