I had an amazing experience today with the DELTA manager on duty ULA. ULA helped us navigate the minor-child traveling with Grace and compassion. Traveling is stressful enough on its own, but Ula was a god-send to make this a stress-free travel day. Thank you for your amazing customer service and for helping us in our hour of need. ULA FOR PRESIDENT!!

Scraped or burned off, lock/ zipper torn off

This suitcase was brand new when i left home to fly ont/ slc, and i flew 1st class... priority baggage handling. It has tire track marks, or such, on the suitcase when i received it in SLC. Also, scraped part on the sides, zippers handles and locks torn off. The suitcase looks like it went to Hell and back!! The problem with filing a claim is that you have to see a gal in the office there first, which is at the airport. She then will evaluate the damage.. and then give you a number to file a claim IF she deems it necessary.. with that number, you can first pull up paperwork from online to file a claim and enter the number she gave you to file the claim, AND this all has to be done within 24 hours!! That's a ridiculous way to be able to file a claim.   Im 71 years old. I was in a wheelchair,  so I didn't handle the suitcase. The wheelchair person for Delta took it off the belt in baggage claim. Then I see my daughter and grandkids and am excited to see them.  I greet them,  and my daughter continues to take the suitcase to the car. I'm an hour away from the airport.  HOW do I see this person in the Delta office to then file a claim within 24 hours?  That's impossible!! The suitcase was new. It has to go in the trashcan.  This all happened flying first class, and flying first class was supposed to give me priority baggage handling as one of the perks for flying 1st class.  Shame, shame,  shame on Delta Airlines..  This is what to expect when you fly Delta Airlines.  ( ps: I have a Nikon brand new camera that was in this suitcase ( for a Xmas present)  I don't know how to work a camera since I'm old.. so I can't even test it to check it out if it's ok.  Delta.com In addition, I'm very unhappy with the cabins during flight. Being in 1st class, no pillow, no blanket! There was a video screen on the way up for entertainment, but no ear buds offered to hear it. A two hour flight and all I got was a baggy of chips.. or, the basket did make a second round so you could take some more chips or a little cookie. For first class and a 2 hour flight, I think it's not unreasonable to expect a decent snack such as a little sandwich or such, especially since this flight was right during lunch hours. On the way back I brought my own ear buds instead of packing them, but there was NO monitor of any sort for entertainment made available. In closing I am adding that the employees at Delta, in comparison to other airlines, are the most impersonal people I have ever encountered traveling. Not friendly, not helpful , a forced little smile... maybe because I was in a wheelchair it was as if one becomes invisible to them?

Early morning flight and since I'm disabled..they were very accommodated..a wheelchair was brought out to escort me which made my experience very easy

Here in Temecula, you had Vincenzo Cilurzo (another Hollywood refugee), whose weekday job was that as a Light Director for Merv Griffin, see IMdB. Vincenzo and his wife Audrey planted 40 acres and that are considered Temecula's first vines in 1968, then along came Ely Callaway, then Joe Hart and the rest is history. We have visited over a dozen plus vineyards in Temecula and they're all a lot of fun. Each offers up a little history and a taste of their best for a few bucks. The wineries we continue to return to are Callaway, Wilson, Wiens, Hart, Ponte and South Coast. If you find one you like, I would recommend joining their wine club. Many of the wines aren't sold in discount stores. We would also suggest trying some the restaurants attached to the Winery, like Meritage at Callaway. As a postscript, Vincenzo & Audrey Cilurzo sold their winery in 2004 to Imre & Gizella Czirakis and they renamed it Bella Vista. Vincenzo died last year, but the family stayed in the Temecula area. Our plan was to relax, make memories, have good food and wine, and experience the beauty of Temecula wine country. Miramonte was our first vineyard and we had dinner there on the patio. We got a table that didn't have a view and instead it was in the middle of the patio dining area. There were so many other guests around us and it was loud. At least it was shaded and I think there were misters...? So that made things enjoyable in terms of the heat. We ordered their pitcher of White Sangria (which was somewhere around $42-$48). It said there was going to be peach in the batch with other fruit. The result was frozen berries in a very water downed pitcher if white wine and ice. I hate to say this, but I have had better White Sangria at The Olive Garden. The one I make at home was 100 x's better. For food we ordered the Charcuterie Board, which was huge! That was a very impressive display of cured meats and cheeses. Totally loved the pickled vegetables! We also ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms, Oaxacan Pepperoni & Honey Flatbread, and Truffle Garlic Fries (I think they said "truffle," but I could ne wrong because all I tasted was garlic and parm). The Mushrooms were delicious! I would order that dish again, but then again I am a lover of mushrooms. At the end, I was surprised to not get any Bach party recognition. Most of the places we went to, my girls and I got perks for the celebration. I mean the hostess didn't even wish a "Congratulations." At least she was nice to get a group shot with the beautiful sunset. I am usual a 5-star giver and I feel bad giving this place a 2-star. Luckily some of the food was actually good, so thank goodness a 3-star is the final result. I mean Miramonte did set our bar very low for the rest of the wineries thus making the other ones we went to on our trip were supreme -- which were Akash and Ponte. Both Akash and Ponte were aaaaaaamazing!

The whole adventure takes about 4 hours. Overall, it was fun and a great opportunity to try different wines and see the beautiful wineries in temecula. Now, why the 4 star rating?? ~The bus featured a great sound system where we could choose songs from an ipad. But it was unbelievably warm inside. It was a hot day and the AC seemed to not be working, leaving most of us sticky. We were told to open one window at the front and at the end of the bus to let the air flow. After the first stop, most people just opened all the windows to get a breeze. One guy was close to just taking off his shirt. ~We felt that one of our stops at mount Palomar winery was rushed. Our package did include a charcuterie. And we ordered some other appetizers right when we arrived. We ended up having to cancel them since it still wasnt done and we were heading out. This also led to rushing to get the remaining sample tastes. A reciept check showed it was a 30 min visit. ~My other minor disappointment was that our guide stated they could only take photos through their phone and not our own. But Debbie's photos often came out with this unfocused glare. Rather than something crispy clear. So we took group selfies instead. You might want to take a selfie stick.
