Dr. Vandersloot was able to combine these into a single visit, which was a huge convenience for my schedule. His surgical technique was meticulous. I experienced minimal swelling and very little post-op discomfort, which speaks to his expertise. The office staff--Aaliyah, Angelica, and RDA Yvette--were all incredibly helpful in scheduling ,caring and friendly for the dual procedure and made the entire experience seamless. A top-tier specialist. Thank you

On May 8, 2025 I came in to get a root canal from Peter R Vandersloot. This was my first root canal…read more(hopefully my last *fingers crossed*) and I was in a lot of pain the weeks leading up to my appointment. The tooth needing the root canal was the second to last on the bottom right side (I forget the tooth number) but it had gotten to the point that I was taking Moltrin 3-4 times a day just to keep the pain manageable. If I didn't take meds before bed, I was sure to be awakened with throbbing pain, enough to have you questioning the point of eating candy ever again! Anyways, long story short, I came in to this office and the staff was very warm and kind to me. Peter was very helpful in educating me about the procedure and what I could expect throughout it afterwards. He's really a magician in the sense that he debunked all my pre root canal fears around the pain and how it would be the most excruciating experience I'd ever go through. The only pain I felt throughout the procedure was when I received the needle injection for numbing the area and nerve. Other than that, I felt no pain and by the time he was finished, I was shocked that it was all over. It took no more than 1 hour start to finish. He's really someone I wish I could go to for any dental issue because his conversation is awesome and he's so well informed. A true professional in every sense of the word and his team of professionals that assist in the procedure were amazing as well. This place is like a small private practice, not like going to a giant dentist location with a bunch of chairs and rotating dentist. They are exceptional in their ability to resolve root canals and in the process educate clients so they are more aware of the business of dental work. I left there understanding who I should get insurance with, what types of dentist I should get work done with as well as how to sift through yelp reviews to identify honest reviews over fabricated ones. As you can imagine, there's a bunch of dentist offices with reviews that are very basic and are there to just give the 5 stars in hopes of improving the businesses overall rating. If you need a root canal done, don't waste your time going anywhere else. This place has got you covered. Thanks again Peter & Staff! It's been over a month and the pain I felt prior to my visit with you has never returned.

Initially, he numbed me on the wrong side. He thought the procedure was on the other side. It's important to take a timeout, before performing any procedure. The surgeon should review the referral content regarding the procedure and what tooth needs to be worked on. After so many years, maybe the procedures could become routine. Two of his assistants and an office assistant had prepped for him, but they must have not reminded him. One of his assistants watched on while he initially numbed me, and she didn't say anything or question whether the correct side was being numbed. I stopped him, and told him which tooth was to be worked on. He then realized that he made a mistake and was apologetic. What if I didn't stop him or question his actions? Let this be a lesson to all patients. Whether you're with this oral surgeon or any other type of surgeon, make sure you and the surgeon are on the same page. If you're having an oral procedure done, be prepared and know which tooth (the number of the tooth) is of concern. If for some reason you think something is wrong or something doesn't seem right, stop the surgeon. The experience after Dr. S corrected himself was ok; more so, because I was worried something else might go wrong. This I'm sure can happen with any other oral surgeon, but it's preventable and it shouldn't happen. For my experience, even though it was corrected, in the end I was left with unnecessary numbness on both sides of my face and a feeling of if I had to have a similar procedure done again, I would not return to this same location.

After doing my research, I called CDC and at first they didn't answer, which is understandable, either dealing with a patient or on another car. So i emailed them instead to schedule an appt. They called me back within the hour and I was able to get in the same week and on a Saturday too! Which was amazing for my work schedule. The lady who scheduled my appointment was super friendly and had great mannerisms! Fast forward to the appointment... i checked in, filled out paperwork and waiting about 8 minutes to get taken back to my room and get X-rays. The assistant that helped me was super friendly, talkative and was very gentle during the X-rays, later on i found out he's the hygienist! Which he's also amazing at that! The doctor came in about 15 min later after my X-rays were taken, she got delayed with another patients procedure, which is totally understandable, front desk and assistants came in to inform me of delays so I appreciate that! The dr was very sweet, went over my history and took a look at my teeth and i had Zero cavities and my overall mouth looked great! Which is good to know since i went to a different dentist last year and told me i needed to get all this work done which I knew wasn't true, they just wanted the $$. Every room has a different theme, I got the Altamont Pass wind turbines (or fans how i like to call them) and when i was going to the hygienist's room, there was another room that was Disney themed! YESS! Perfect for kids and Disney adults in my opinion lol. Overall i had an amazing visit and I'm glad i found my new dentist!!

I was nervous and my blood pressure showed that to be true. But they did a truly fantastic job, and I left feeling excited about finding a truly different dental experience! I returned 2 weeks later (yesterday) to get a temporary crown put on a tooth I had cracked. My first crown, but I was confident they would do a good job, and my confidence was not misplaced. In particular, I would like to call out dental assistant, Rachel. She knew I was concerned, and went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable, encouraged, and her dental skills were top notch. Dr. Kaur also did a wonderful job. You can tell at a place like this that the entire office has a positive vibe, and that put me at ease as well. Highly recommended for everyone, including those of us that are a little extra nervous about dental appointments!
