I gave 2-Stars because they were prompt with the estimate and I was going to hire them. The problem came with the invoice. I don't mind plunking down half, nearly $450, but I wanted the full scope of work outlined in the document. To not only protect me but also Delta.
The pic is what I received and the below is what I asked for...
------------------
Hello! Received the invoice. Can you please add the full scope of the work to the invoice? By clearly outlining the job, we won't have any misunderstandings.
The following is what I expect...
1. Provide new side panel glass which matches existing glass.
2. Install new side panel and existing door.
3. Apply sealant.
4. Dispose of old glass.

When I didn't hear back I called and the gentleman who answered said the technician told you what we were going to do and we'll do it. No need to put that in writing and other customers were happy with our work and invoice.
At that point I said no problem at all, I won't be moving forward with you.
Be careful when someone won't put what they said verbally in writing.
UPDATE::::
So as the customer I'm supposed to do more than...text the number I was communicating with about requiring more info in the invoice as soon as I received the email. Wait all day the next day for a response, which didn't come then called this afternoon to check on the status and explain what I needed in the document only for the guy who I've spoken to before to say NO and that customers were happy with their work and invoices. I'm supposed to then ask to speak to a supervisor?!? Basically chase down a company to take my money.
Their response takes the star down to one. Completely in the wrong and took no responsibility whatsoever.
Their response should have been, our apologies, we dropped the ball.
Reviews are more than about the actual work. It's also about the actions surrounding the work. If you can't put stated items in writing nor take responsibility for your communication issues, don't care how good your work is, you're not trustworthy when push comes to shove.
UPDATE 2::::
It's interesting that Ines Sakka (the person who left the review the next day after mine) has the same last name as someone who stated they were the owner in an updated business response to my review. That entry was strangely deleted after I reported Anis S (listed owner) for leaving a 5-star review, which was removed by Yelp.
Since Delta deleted Sakka's entry which listed the name " Mr. Sakka", Yelp HQ could not link Ines to Delta so left it up.
Yea...they are so trustworthy. SMH read more
