Yesterday morning (May 14, 2026), Min Dinh, QA Manager at Pond Roofing came to my rescue again. Problem: I spotted some insulation strewn over my roof, pried off by animals. He quickly assessed that it was done by squirrel(s) near the end of a soffit. Soon, a steel mesh was cut and fitted around the narrow gap to prevent any future attacks. He further covered a similar spot on the back site, so that there'll be no worries for me in this regard. Last year, I had a roof vent (not knowing which one) with water dripping down to the basement. After water tests, he figured out the right vent and placed an elbow on it...vent closed and problem solved. I've known Minh for more than 10 years now, and he had helped me in numerous occasions. He is super honest and extremely skillful in what he does, often beyond roofing.....grateful experences for me. read more

Over the course of this period, we had 2 small water leaks which they repaired at a reasonable price instead of pushing for a new roof installation like some of the other roof companies we contacted. Installed four windows ahead of schedule. Project manager responsive. Window quality appears to be very good, only time will tell thought researched brand and not concerned. I'd gladly have Pond Roofing back. Most notable, during the first visit Pond recapped the vent on the roof for the furnace which was an issue I'd reported without question or charge. Our roof was improperly installed by the last owner and when there was high wind part of it peeled up. Pond was so quick to come out and tarp the roof so that there would be no water damage in the event of rain. Cameron was excellent with letting us know exactly what went into a roof replacement and we walked away much more knowledgeable about roofs! The crew on roof replacement day was very thorough and got done by 2pm! It was fun watching them yeet the old roof from the second story. Wow! What a 1st class operation! I had a new roof and gutters. From the estimator coming and spending an hour going around and even on the roof. They then worked up a proposal and we went over everything. I was not rushed in the least. I felt very comfortable asking questions and his explanation of everything was great. Install day for the roof. What a bunch of professionals! They were neat and organized. The roof they put on looks GREAT! Then on a second day the gutters were put on. Another 1st class team. One thing I noticed is that they work quickly and efficiently but not in a rushed fashion. Oh, I forgot communication. They kept in touch with me EVERY step of the way. Would I use them again? We had windows done in summer 2025. TLDNR: the windows are fine, but I had some issues with worksmanship and screens. The customer service was very good. Longer version-- The windows seem fine, with the exception of the screens, which feel flimsy and some of which were not tightly fixed in the screen frames. The installation worksmanship was mixed-- one of the windows had an issue that I complained about. They came back to fix it and (mostly) succeeded. I also wasn't thrilled with the caulk they used inside the house. It is glossy and looks out of place in a living room, bedroom, or kitchen. On the plus side, they were very responsive and the customer service was good. So I think I'd give them an A for customer service and the windows themselves, B- for screens, and C for installation. read more

I contacted Pond after getting ghosted by one roofing contractor and given a really high quote by another. Pond responded to my inquiry and set up an appointment for an estimate within 24 hours. Maynard arrived on time and immediately informed me that he did not believe it was what the original company thought it was. He worked quickly to confirm his suspicion and was able to fix the the same day and saved me thousands. Super polite, humble and honest guy. I thought highly of Pond when they replaced our roof, with the exception of requiring chimney repointing work by another subcontractor, whom they recommended, in order to warranty the roof (?). The mortar condition was the same as the rest of the home, we had no apparent leakage or moisture issues, and the cap was replaced a few years earlier. As I had other quotes with no requirement for chimney work, I questioned the need but approved the work. And the subs did a good job. In addition, we had them replace our gutters, and either their supplier or their workers used a slightly different shade of downspouts in the rear, and the rear gutter had been repainted in one area, and we could only notice it years later as the sun faded the spots. Fast forward a few years later, and we needed a repair to a few shingles coming loose. Paraphrasing, I was told Architectural-style shingles present this issue on low slope roofs due to their design. I was certainly not told of this issue when the job was sold, otherwise I would have gone with traditional style. A speaking of the repair, Patrick is a personable and successful guy. He bought an established family roofing company and made it his own after graduation from VT. Kudos. But at this moment he mistakenly said something too personal and rude, a type of "unfiltered" comment straight from one's mind to mouth. You don't do that when conducting business. Clients are neither family nor friends, and thus unfamiliar with their lives. So even if I can get the gutter work replaced under warranty, Pond Roofing is persona non grata. read more

Pond Roofing installed a new roof on my house to replace and update one they'd installed many years ago. Another outstanding job! Brett provided a detailed estimate explaining all the technological improvements in various roof parts that had been made since my prior roof had been installed. Pond documented their insurance and other legal bona fides and clearly laid out their project management process from proposal acceptance to job completion. Their crew put in a long almost 11 hour day to remove the old roof and install the new one, placed protective covers on shrubbery and carefully policed the grounds for debris when they were done. I had a water stain on my ceiling which ended up being a water leak from one of the exhaust vents on my roof. Pond repaired it and I am a happy customer! Here is why.... First, some contractors tried selling me a whole new roof and tried getting me to go through my insurance. My house was built in 2013. Pond didn't try to sell me a new roof. Joe came out and was very honest with us, telling us we just needed a repair and showed us photos and explained why we didn't need a new roof. He had every opportunity to try to get more money from us by selling us a roof. He did not. Joe was very friendly, professional and communicative. I loved how Pond uses technology in their practices. Their estimate and contract were typed up in nice pdf files that were emailed to me for e-signatures. Not a big deal but most companies couldn't do that. Some just texted me a number or messaged me their quote on Yelp. One guy just wrote it on a piece of scrap paper. It just showed the professionalism of Pond. Also, they use a cloud photo service and uploaded photos during the entire process including before, during and after photos. I got like 50 photos from them showing everything they did. The only knock I can give them was their timing. It took about a month from the time they gave us a quote until the time they came out to fix it. Now Joe was upfront from the very beginning and stated that the wait time was 3-4 weeks so it wasn't like we were surprised. But still, most companies stated they could do it within a few days or the oncoming weekend or two, not a month. With the heavy rains of April, we expressed our concerns about more water getting in while we wait. So Joe came out and actually got onto the roof and sealed around the vents, something he didn't have to do. They did more than enough to mitigate the longer wait time. In the end, I'm happy I waited. I think the longer wait is because they have so much business, which is a good sign. Overall, it was well worth the wait. Their prices were reasonable. Their work was great. Joe is great. Our roof project was straightforward, but I wanted to learn about components the contractor would use and Pond has young estimators and project managers that are quite knowledgeable about roofing. They answered all of my questions. I had several questions for another contractor but they could not answer them, instead, they brushed me off, so I brushed them aside and used Pond. I contracted separately for new gutters and downspouts and saved about $1,000. Also, this project was done in coordination with a large repair and painting project by Mondo Improvements, Inc. Mondo recommended Pond to me. Apparently, many roofing contractors are marketing companies and they subcontract all work to another firm. Pond is not like them, Pond is really in the roofing business. The quality of the work was excellent. The project manager checked on the project several times, including more than once after the work was completed. Interesting that poor reviews on Yelp occurred during a relatively brief period, mostly during 2012 and 2013. Points out the company's reputation hinges on having knowledgeable project managers and estimators, and skilled staff to execute the work. Patrick is successful in the 2020's because he has assembled team members that make the grade, so to speak. I hope he can retain them. The roofing industry will not be taken over by AI. Ha! Requested that Pond come out to see why our gutters were not handling heavy rainfalls. Service estimator said that the problem was the inferior gutter guards that another company had sold us. Given that our home isn't really impacted by heavy leaf accumulations during the year, he advised that we simply remove the guards. Simple and inexpensive solution. Didn't try to sell me anything! Threw in replacement vent pipe boots at no additional charge. Will definitely use this firm again and recommend to others. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with Pond's honesty, professionalism and expertise. After having many water issues in my attic and working with different roofing and chimney companies, I reached out to Pond Roofing Company desperate for help. The owner, Pat, called me back within a day and spent a good amount of time hearing about the issues, asking specific questions and then giving me a very thorough explanation of possible reasons for the water issues. He didn't try to sell the company's services at all. Very impressed with Pond Roofing. We have been having a 'noisy chimney' in our new home. Our main concern was water leaking, though there were no obvious signs present. We called Pond for an estimator who arrived today right on time. Anthony was very thorough, climbed up onto the roof, inspected the tiles and flashing, and looked within our walls for any signs of leak. His conclusion - a well done roof, and no signs of leakage. What we have is likely a noisy chimney, which echos loudly into our loft. Anthony was able to explain the roof tiles and flashing in detail, tell me what to be mindful of, and did recommend a chimney specialist as I would like to dampen the sound. We had another company do a partial repair on our roof and weren't satisfied. We interviewed other roofing companies and Von from Pond was competent and a great listener. He was excellent at explaining the process. We had a lot of questions and he revised the proposal several times to address additional work. We decided to have Pond re-do the work from the other roofer in addition to replacing the rest of the roof. Von had been a roofer and knew details that other sales people did not. Everything he promised was delivered. Pond's team was wonderful. Mike, the Production Manager, came out before the work to hear our goals and concerns. He answered all our questions. Nataly, the project coordinator, kept in touch with us about timing. Jabier and Simeon were polite and worked hard. They started when they promised and the team came early and worked late. They cleaned up all the debris from the old roof and swept to find nails. At the end of the process Von returned to review the work with us. I had noticed that when it rained the gutters overflowed after the re-roofing. Von put up his ladder and unclogged the gutter - the clog was not related to their work at all, but Von fixed it. I was re-reading my reviews and noticed that I had received a second response to my poor review of Pond Roofing Company. How nice of Paul to post the efforts they have instituted since our [and other's evidently] poor experiences. I did feel it necessary to update, once again, to let those reading this know that there was a previous response to my review by the owner of PRC, Betsy. She basically called me a liar and said what I had written and experienced was not what happened at all. It is sad, but to be expected, that after receiving another poor review that PRC would remove Besty's response to me, thus making my first update responding to Betsy appear nonsensical. I am glad that Pond has finally admitted to a minimum charge and is clear in it's policy. But I would still beware, as I find it hard to believe that they have lowered their minimum charge by $200. I called this company after I had a leak coming through my roof. Patrick (the owner) went out of his way on the phone to explain options and even went above and beyond to explain some of his experiences with mold (this company doesn't do mold). He also recommended other companies that could help me. Given the large storm this past weekend, he explained that it might take some time for his company to come out and look at the small leak and was kind enough to suggest a DIY check to make sure the leak was indeed repaired. This seems like a very honest company that does not try to sell you unecessary services. Would highly recommend. read more

Wow, I'm very impressed with our new roof, both in the evaluation of project scope by Shanti Smith, the sales rep and project estimator, and the execution of the new roof installation by the very hard-working installation crew. This was a large roofing project, approx. 4000 sq ft, two and three stories above the ground with pitches ranging from 4/12 to 12/12. First, I did my research. I read lots of background information on the types of roofing available (asphalt, composite, metal, slate) and for this area and the crazy high prices for some materials, asphalt was the only way to go. I looked into the different manufacturers shingles information on their website, Consumers Reports, Roofer's websites, Youtube videos, etc to see which shingle was "best". All claim to be the best. I spoke with company sales and technical representatives from Certainteed, Atlas, and GAF, none of which provided convincing information to justify their claims. I looked into the ice and water shields and whether breathable or non-breathable underlayments are desirable. I looked into the type of ridge vents and which are best for effectively ventilating hot air from the attic. I looked into the types of nails that are commonly used, the nailing patterns, the shingles which have the best nailing area, etc. It's enough to drive you nuts. After review of all the products within my price range, I went with Certainteed Northgate, an SBS modified shingle, since it appears to have slightly better performance than non SBS shingles. In the end, it all boils down to having a general idea of what you want and are willing to pay for a new roof. Then you need to find the right person/company that can offer you quality materials, selected in their experience (not necessarily because of lowest cost) to provide you with a worry-free, long-lived roof. I eventually put a list of components I wanted and solicited bids from six, highly regarded roofing contractors selected from Yelp. Price differences between the highest and lowest contractor for the same roofing proposal was about $10,000 so it will pay you to shop around. My interactions with Shanti/Pond Roofing provided opportunities to bounce ideas about different products, materials, installation considerations, pricing and so on. Shanti gave, in my opinion, really expert advice and convinced me that his team would leave me with a professionally installed roof that will provide years (hopefully decades) of life. He did not disappoint as both my interactions with him and his team were remarkably smooth and hassle free. Would highly recommend Shanti and his installation crew. read more

I had Pond work on a flat roof at my house. Roof was leaking after the heavy rains last spring and they put on a new roof and built a new deck on top. It came out great so far. They come out and monitor the roofs they put in so I will see how responsive they are when I ask them to check it out this summer. My experience with Pond Roofing has been entirely positive. In contrast with a prior reviewer's claim, the contract presented to me stated very clearly what the minimum price would be and that it would increase at a well-defined rate for any repairs they had to make to ensure the roof itself was sound. In the end, the repairs they made were all necessary (I saw the sheathing they removed, and it was rotten) and the additional expense was not high. Lonnie (the estimator I saw) was professional, personable, and very informative. The work began when they said it would, and included replacing a section of roof that I already knew was rotten. It took as long as they said it would. The workmen clearly knew what they were doing. The cleanup every evening was amazingly thorough; this is the first time I've had roofing or construction work done and I haven't wound up with a flat tire. Three months later, there have been no leaks, and of course the roof looks good. There was one very minor matter that required a downward cost adjustment, and Pond made it quickly and to my satisfaction. I have recommended Pond to our neighbors, one of whom has already used them. I don't know how Pond compares on price, but I can't imagine a better quality job. read more

Pond Roofing installed our new roof and replaced our attic fan four years ago. The attic fan stopped working last week, but was under warranty! Pond was very responsive in replacing it. However, we had an electrical issue at the same time. In trying to figure out the problem, Patrick, the owner came to take a look himself, actually going into the attic where we had installed blown-in insulation! He crossed all the i's and t's he possibly could. We called in our electrician and he found the problem. Everyone from Pond was just great--the worker who replace the fan, Minh, and Patrick, who went over and above in trying to help us solve the problem. We can't thank them enough.
