Leaking toilet problem. Delta guy came out at least twice. Leak continued. After second time, it got worse: When I sat on the toilet, the whole seat moved - sort of shook slightly (I am almost 80 years old, and I only weigh120 pounds - so no reason for it to move at all). Was up all night with the leak - putting towels around the base of the toilet to soak up the water so it wouldn't leak into the unit below mine. I had already paid $275 (in advance) for this disaster. Billing statement -Delta Mechanical, Mesa, AZ - for $275 says it was for a toilet install (I believe it was only for a repair - there was no new toilet installed). Finally, gave up that Delta was actually going to fix the leak so I contacted a totally different company to come out and fix it. I won't be using Delta EVER AGAIN. I asked for a refund on the payment as I had to pay the other company which actually did the work to end the leak. (Delta denied the refund). Can anyone explain why Home Depot in Denver refers you to Delta when you call them - I think it is a big mistake. I wish I had read more of the online reviews before I contacted them. Would have saved me the money spent (for bad work) and a couple of sleepless nights - plus the $275 down the drain (or, in this case) toilet!!! read more

Tuesday morning they show up with no notice A day early no communication to that matter. inspection was to be done today. They were not able to give me a window of time so I called on my way to work to find out when they were coming. Apparently, they came to the inspection without telling me." got a text back. Our apologies door was open. We took care of it. We just didn't let you know. Do not ever use this company. It started last night while driving into my garage only to find a water puddle on the floor. That can only be one thing, 'A broken water heater'. The first thing you feel is panic because it's in the evening and it's not something you're used to seeing regularly. After five minutes of viewing YouTube, I got a game plan. The first thing they say is to shut the ball valve so water stops going into the tank. Unfortunately, it was stuck and wouldn't turn especially since it was difficult to reach. Your only option to stop the leaking is to shut the main water line into the house but that shuts all the water in the house. After spending one night with no water you have a new appreciation for the basics. Panic set in and when that happens, you turn to the experts in the Big Box stores, and in this case, it's Home Depot. Home Depot is the largest home improvement provider in the world and prides itself on serving the highest quality products and services in their communities. With that reputation, you can rest assured that the contractors they work with also follow the highly regarded reputation and that HD does a very careful vetting of each of their contractors. Unfortunately, when it came to plumbing the company they contracted with Delta Mechanical, Inc. was a disappointment. If you remember, my original problem was the leaking and damaged water heater. I called the Home Depot to get a quote and I got transferred to Delta Mechanical the HD chosen contractor for replacing water heaters. I spoke to the SALES who could tell from my voice my frustration. I asked him the cost of a 50-gallon installed, out-the-door price. He asked what warranty am I interested in. Nine-year warranty would be around $1800 and twelve years is around $1900. I almost fell off my chair when your expectation was about $900 less. Needless to say, I had to get it done and they were willing to install it the next day. I mentioned to him that the ball valve was stuck and would need to be replaced and he said that is included. So, I chose the 12-year warranty for around $1900. The next day, I was excited knowing we would have working water in our house like normal people. The installer showed up looked at the space and said "That's a tight space". In frustration, I said, "They're all like that". He says, "No they're not and I will have to charge you $50". That sent me thru the roof knowing the price was already at $1900 and I felt that he was just taking advantage of me since it was leaking. Isn't EMERGENCIES the normal situation these plumbers face? I couldn't imagine calling them and requesting to change my water heater when it's still working well and not an emergency. To add salt to the wound, he said the ball valve would cost an additional $65. I am now looking at a $115 additional cost that SALES did not mention. I was fed up and asked him to leave because I felt I was buying from a slimy car salesman and the experience became tarnished. A few minutes after he left, SALES called me back to try to save the account and agreed to give me a $100 discount and it would only cost me $15. I appreciated him trying and I needed this WH to be installed so I could go back to normalcy so I agreed. He then said, "Your new amount will only add $15 so it's $2033". I said, "You told me yesterday the 12-year warranty that I chose was around $1900 so technically the amount should be $1915". He said I quoted you around $2,000 for the 12-year warranty you probably thought the price was for the 9-year warranty". I said, "No, the 9-year warranty you quoted was $1800. He said, I would have to listen to the conversation but it's always been $2000 for the 12 years. Do you see what he was doing? He didn't know that I am an accountant and that numbers come easy to me and are well embedded in my DNA. So, what he hoped for is that I had forgotten the verbal quote of the 12-year warranty of $1900 and he added the $100 difference that the installer wanted to charge me and pretended the original price that he sold, the 12-year warranty, was $2015 and tried to say that includes a $100 discount. It is sad that companies like Delta Mechanical, Inc. must exploit their customers to get ahead. How many customers has Delta Mechanical, Inc. taken advantage of, it seems normal business practice for them to price gouge people when they are vulnerable. Shame on Home Depot to have this relationship with Delta Mechanical, Inc. who practice such dishonest and unscrupulous behavior to their customers. It was my first time ever considering HD to help me with third-party contractors and it's my last. I would warn anyone engaging with Delta Mechanical, Inc. and find other companies. I looked online and found a wonderful, empathetic, well-priced, better-product company. They were so empathetic the owner heard my story, showed up, and installed it himself so I could have a great experience. read more

I went on Home Depot's site to schedule an estimate for a water heater installation and they assigned Delta Mechanical as the company that would handle the installation estimate and installation should I purchase the water heater from Home Depot. I signed up for 3 different times available for the contractor to come over and give me an estimate. After feeling like everything was going to be ok, I never heard from Delta; not an email, phone call, or visit. I called Delta and they offered no apology for not getting in contact with me. Instead of sending someone over the operator gave me a quote and it was pretty high; she then emailed those over to me. Given how high their quote was and how they ghosted me on coming out to quote the job I decided I would not be using them for my installation. Instead I'll be going with another company that is charging me almost $700 less; and they actually showed up to quote the job on time. read more

Technician was friendly and professional. Their billing practices are next to thievery. $488 labor to remove and replace water heater. Ok. But wait! There's more! $288 for an installation kit. That includes 3 flex hoses, 3" vent exhaust pipe(2' length), and PVC pressure relief pipe. In reality about $50-$60 retail. Max. So, another $230 in imaginary labor that was already charged for in the $488. Beware of the add ons they sneak in. $35 for a drain pan that is unnecessary. And $95 for a bullshit "expansion tank" that is also unneccassary. My bad for not noticing these beforehand. But everything is done on a phone app so they say this is the total. Sign here. In essence I paid an effective labor rate of $450 an hour. Plus the extra $130 in the pan and tank. The entire job was less than 1 1/2 hours. I figure I was overcharged about $300 above the fair rate including the bogus add ins. Beware. read more

Home Depot contracted Delta Mechanical to provide me plumbing services for my countertop project that was extremely high but wanted it to work seamlessly...big mistake. The issue was not their services as it was their lack of timeliness and communication. However, it is still in the early stages so I do not know if I will have problems in the future. We were without water and our gas cooktop for three days. Delta Mechanical scheduled us from 9 to 1pm and we were looking forward to finally having water and a working cooktop. We stayed home waiting for them to arrive and the worker called and said he is running late and will be there between 2 and 3pm. Our whole day wasted. We called after 3pm and they said they will definitely be there by 5pm. It was now approx 6:30 when we called again and they said sorry we have nobody tonight. We will schedule you for tomorrow morning. Finally they showed up in the am. Also, they did not have parts and had to go to home depot etc. The woman answering the phone was apologetic and said they will look into this problem and get back to me. Nobody called. I would never contract them after seeing all their reviews. Lesson learned, if someone uses subcontractors it is very important to ask who will be providing the services and do your due diligence. Purchased a water heater from Home Depot and Delta Mechanical was the company that they sent out to do the install. Installation went fine, but water heater started leaking after installation. Called Delta to come out to do the repair and the plumber stated that the home water pressure value needed to be replaced and would not be covered under the original installation. Part cost was $100 and it took 40 minutes to install, the cost for less than an hour of labor was $250 for a total of $350. Plumber did not check pressure relief valve on the water heater which was the likely culprit and it would have been covered by the original installation fee and Delta would not have been able to charge for the visit. The old unit did not leak at the pressure relief valve and the plumber made no effort to adjust existing pressure valve. I would suggest looking elsewhere for your plumbing needs. read more

These guys are aweful. They were sent to me by Home Depot, to install a hot water heater. I paid $3600+, including extra to move the hot water heater a few feet away from the original location. The gas line, water lines and other water line were all improperly installed. It would not pass the city inspection for THREE reasons, as the install was deemed a safety hazard. Then, I had to repeatedly chase this company to get the come out and look at the problems. When they came, they wanted more money to fix what I originally paid for. A bad company. I bought a hot water heater from Home Depot and this is the company that they send you to for installation. Their quote to install was $930, but if I found a lower price they would discount their quote 10% below the other company. Well, I knew, being a realtor that they were grossly over-priced. So I went into home advisor and found Gold Rush Plumbing for a price of no more than $600. I called to cancelled Home Depot appointment and he tried like heck to give me their price. They were trying to rip me off, just like they will do to you. I said, no go and I am going to report you to Home Depot. They hung up on me. No matter how much you trust Home Depot, check out pricing yourselves. This is a Sunday and it is a rental that I'm trying to get a hot water heater installed. Had an appointment to install my hot water heater; they did not show. Called the next morning and they set a time to come out to install. That was a Sunday. They did not break down my invoice and it went from $1100 to $1400. Do not trust these people. They are total rip off artists. The time to install was only about 45 minutes as they were replacing a 6 year old water heater; which means they charged about $700 to install. They only had to put two new flex lines and a pan in. Being a customer of theirs has been frustrating to say the least. I called in hopes that I would be speaking with "experts" that could help me with my water heater needs. I have to say that it has be the most unprofessional experience since the minute the order was placed. Not knowing everything about my water heater, I called seeking professional advice. I provided the size and type of water heater along with the model number of the water heater I currently have. After deciding on the best replacement, based on your salesman, I went ahead and placed the order and scheduled a time for installation. I informed the salesman that your installer would be working with my property manager (who I pay on an hourly basis) to gain access to the property. We determined that Monday between 4-6pm would be the optimal time for installation. On Monday at 6:30pm my property manager calls me to inform me that the installer had JUST arrived, then told him that I ordered the wrong tank, after which he immediately left. I called customer service and explained the situation and asked if the installer had called to help rectify the situation. He had not. The customer service agent said she would make this a high priority installation and that I would receive a phone call the next morning from a manager and that my hot water heater would be installed the following Tuesday evening. By Tuesday afternoon, I had not heard from Delta so I called back. Once again explaining the entire situation to a new customer service representative. After discussing my options, I had agreed to purchase a different water heater with a vent and they scheduled my installation between 8am-10am this Wednesday morning. At 10am Wednesday morning my property manager (who I pay on an hourly basis) called to tell me that no one has arrived. It was 10:47am on wednesday and I had just gotten off the phone with yet again another customer service agent because the installer failed to show up on time. Finally the installer showed up, installed the hot water heater and left. 30 min after his departure, there was a leak in my pipes. I called customer service, who then called the installer. The installer called me and said, "I don't see how this is my fault" I have worked in the service industry before. I understand that there are busy times of the year and I understand that things happen. I am also the type of person that lets things fly. However, when I am spending thousands of dollars with a company that prides themselves on immediate assistance, I expected better service. read more

I agree with the other negative reviews. The appointment setter gave me a first estimate $1250. That estimate that was off by $650 to be up to code as I was informed by the tech that showed up. The killer part is they charge 600 for a vent in the wall with no motor. The first installer was rude and did not have the parts he needed. He left. I rescheduled for the end of the week and then had 5 different calls where they rescheduled and canceled and rescheduled. I spoke with a supervisor twice. I finally gave up and canceled the whole thing. I will start over somewhere else. What a frustrating experience. Update- but wait there's more.... AND I just discovered they ( Home Depot for Delta mechanical) have billed my credit card for $2037.00 which they said they would not do. Water heater went out on Sunday. Went through Home Depot and got routed to them. Called Monday morning at 8am. Website said that if we called before noon, we might get same day appointment. Because of size of water heater we got next day appointment. Over the phone, sales person said 3pm to 6pm is appointment window. E-mail later said 4pm to 6pm on Tuesday. Received a call just after 430pm on Tuesday that techs were running behind and can't make appointment. They could reschedule for Friday. I asked for alternatives so we could get someone out: emergency repair, pay extra, after hours, schedule, anything. All I could get out of them was because of my location, it's hard for them to get people out there. Keep in mind I live in a large city. Friday is the best they can do, no leeway. Basically, they did nothing to retain my business and never really cared that they had to cancel appointment. read more

I am writing this while on hold for the scheduling department. It's been about 15 minutes. Delta's installer has failed to show up during their 4-hour window twice now. I purchased a garbage disposal from Home Depot and it has taken over two weeks to get it installed; to be fair, I could have shaved over a week off that time if I had known that nobody would ever answer the customer service option in their phone tree. I recently purchased a new water heater from Home Depot and had it scheduled for next day install from 10a-noon. I have to say I had a good customer experience with Delta Mechanical. My installer Tony called at 10a and said he would be there in 20 minutes. He showed up on time, was friendly, and did a nice job. The only negative I would say was that it was a bit over priced. Brandon, the sales rep for Delta quoted me $1130 over the phone for tank and install, but it ended up being $1460 after adding in the catch tray, a new expansion tank and new vent piping from the top of the unit to bring everything up to current codes. We ordered a water heater install through Home Depot, 1) Delta Plumbing quoted us a time between 8 and 10. They sent the driver out between 10 and 12, so he was 2 hours late. 2) I called several times and nobody answered the phone for a minimum of 15 minutes every time I called. Once he got there, he wanted to charge 250 more dollars than the original quote, which they said was all inclusive. I called back again to discuss this issue and the driver left the house. Still have no water heater... A rep from Delta then called me back and said they could come the following day because this was a two-person job, not a one-person job. Why would only one person come out to install a water heater if it took two people? I am absolutely unimpressed with their lack of customer service and their lack of caring about how they're messing with people's lives. I took the morning off to wait for the plumber to arrive, I ended up having to take the entire day off because he was 2 hours late. I had an absolutely wonderful service experience yesterday with Delta Mechanical. My ten-year old water heater cracked Sunday night--leaking and not heating. Delta had installed it in 2008, so I called the number on the sticker as a start on service quotes. Amber Bryce talked me through the steps (I was still under a 12 yr warranty on the unit) I would need to take and gave me the phone numbers. Manufacturer Rheem gave me two other vendors to check for the drain/removal/new installation work (not under warranty). Amber at Delta came through immediately with a reasonable quote (as I verfied with online sources like Angie's List). Delta was telling me what time their installer could arrive while I was still waiting for the other vendors' follow up calls. (I laughed out loud when one vendor suggested I should drain and remove the old unit and just put it in the back of my SUV and drive it to Home Depot and buy a new one that he would install the next day) My installer, Nosir, called a few minutes before my assigned time window even started . I had the quote from Amber, but Nosir showed me some of the quirks in our setup that might lead to labor time overages--perfectly understandable, and not the first time we heard this about choices our builder made in 1993. Once the unit was detached, drained and loaded onto his truck, I followed Nosir to Home Depot. The customer service desk handed me a store credit for the returned cracked unit . Nosir and I headed for the water heater aisle and picked out a unit that was close to what we had. It was like having a personal shopper--Nosir explained the differences and why this one was an option; but that one was not, and why. The whole process took less than an hour. Nosir installed the new unit and then walked me through what the owner needs to know. Throughout the afternoon he was delightful to have in my house--polite, non-smoker who explained things at just the right non-technical level. My final cost was exactly what Amber had quoted. Thank you, Delta Mechanical for having experienced, knowledgeable people working for you! With a home this age, this wasn't our first replacement, and we have had our share of awful customer service experiences. read more

Delta Mechanical is Home Depot's HVAC installer. How they got this contract is beyond me. They installed a whole house evaporative cooler in 2012 and it worked fine for the rest of that summer. When I re-started the cooler in the summer of 2013, the thermostat screen was blank. I looked at the control panel and despite an "up" arrow clearly marked on the panel, they installed the control panel upside down, allowing rainwater to enter the panel, frying the circuit board. I called Delta and told them the problem. They sent a guy out several days later, who said, yes, water got in the control panel, it was Delta's fault, and that the guy who installed it was not longer with the company. Of course he didn't have a replacement panel available--despite me telling them that was needed for the repair. Very friendly, he notes that we have an infant in the house Two weeks go by, and they say they can't find a replacement control panel. I called the manufacturer directly, and they had the panel in stock. I told Delta Mechanical. Delta tries to install the panel and says it won't work--they need a different panel. The repairman promises to be back the next morning. As a nice gesture, he bought two small room evap coolers for us to use overnight. However, we received no call, no repairman the next morning or for a week. Several of my calls to Delta go unreturned. Two more weeks go by and they say they have the correct control panel and can install it in two days. We re-arrange our Satuday plans to finally get the cooler fixed...and...no....Delta calls to say they are too busy...or the panel the panel has not been received--they give different excuses to me and my wife. So, over a month and we still have a nonfunctional cooler. Stay away from Delta Mechanical--they are incompetent and have horrible customer service. Hire a local business--and if you know a decent HVAC contractor send me a note! read more

That is the only company that we were provided by Home Depot as their only official representative to install a water heater. Delta Mechanics present themselves as that they can beat any of their competitors price by 10%. Lie! we had an estimate from another company for the same service for $170 plus parts. Delta Mechanics said that we can only buy parts from them and it would cost us $300 (we could get them in the store for around $50, we checked) The heater itself cost $540, how can a couple of houses to connect it cost $300? since we did not have time and wanted to work with home depot directly we scheduled an appointment with these guys. They did not show up at the scheduled time of an appointment. So we called them, they said that their mechanic can be at our place not earlier than in 3 hours and not even guaranteed. We ended up canceling our request and got it done for $275 with parts and delivery. I think that is the worst company I used in a while! Wow, I should have checked Yelp for Delta before trying to buy and install a water heater through Home Depot. It is obvious that their track record is not very good. I called the HomeDepot install number on the morning of Dec 18 and spoke with Michael in Sales. He gave me an all installed price for the 50 gallon Rheem I had chosen on the HD website. Certainly not cheap but of course they tell you about their one year price guarantee. To be honest, that is meaningless as who is going to spend the time to try and do an apples to apples comparison between contractors doing a water heater install...you are not buying a car for pete's sake! It was basically $700 over cost of the water heater at HD, which seem high to me as I have installed them before . Boulder requires permit and inspection so I decided to have it installed, plus the old one is taken away, thus saving some hassle factor. Michael offered to schedule someone for that afternoon, and since it wasn't a replacement for a failed water heater, I told him the next day would be fine. At first he gave me a 10-noon window, but in the interim discussion time that window must have been filled so settled on noon-2 the next day. The install is in a rental property that is a 1.5 hour drive from my home. So I made the time to meet the installer at noon. At 2:30, no installer and no phone call. So I called in with my job number, and the dispatcher told me the installer was delayed due to a prior job and "did not know when he could be there." That is simply unacceptable, so job cancelled and 1.5 hour drive home. So basically I wasted 6 hours of my day with no install. Maybe this is why they have to shove a price guarantee down your throat to get customers? If someone had proactively called me to give me an update, I might be giving them 2 or three stars, but this a poorly run company, use at your own risk! read more

$600-700 to install a water heater seems high. The installer finished in 1 hour. A week or so later the piping above the water heater began to leak, and subsequently flooded a portion of our basement. Basement smelled of mildew for many months despite our best efforts to eradicate the odor. Never had a problem before in the 10 years I've lived here. Sent out a plumber who installed two flexible pipes and wanted to charge $100 plus for work that should have been done the first time. Called and left a voice mail protesting the charge. Never heard back and did not pay the $100 plus. Since the second visit the piping has leaked off and on until this April when the amount of leakage became alarming. Called Home Depot, another visit from Delta Mechanical, and was told further work would be required at an additional cost of $200. Wound up having the work done by another plumber for less. What could have been a simple replacement turned into a complicated adventure that I did not enjoy. read more

Please don't use this company. I found them through home depot and wanted to get a swamp cooler installed. The estimator came and didn't look in my attic - gave me an estimate and said they'd put it where ever I wanted on the roof. I indicated that it COULD not go on the South side of my roof at all (I'm having solar panels put on the south side). I needed to reschedule the initial install date, and the estimator never called me back. The installer who did call to tell me the crane had been scheduled, said he had no knowledge of the request to change, and that the estimator often didn't communicate well. I reminded the installer of the need to keep the swamp cooler off the South Side. On the day of the install, the installer said there was no way the estimator could have even looked in the attic to see that it HAD to go on the south side... He proceeded to tell me that a better (and more efficient) system would be a new heating/cooling combo which would run me 6500 or so. He said it would cool more efficiently than a swamp cooler (where is this possible?!?). At any rate, they left - no install. A week later, I got an estimate for the "6500" heating/cooling combo which was 11,500. I said no thank you. 3 weeks later, the charge for the uninstalled swamp cooler went on my home depot card and I'm fighting to have it removed. Best part was, I just had another company install the swamp cooler correctly on the North side of my roof, even though Delta Mechanical said it was impossible. Did they do it all to try to sell me a furnace/AC combo at 3x the price of the swamp cooler? Steer clear!! read more

What a nightmare dealing with Delta Mechanical!!! They did a fine job of installing the water heater that I purchased from Home depot, but then pulled a permit without telling me. Then, I called them as they requested to schedule the permit and it never got scheduled. I waited at home from 8-5 only to find out that the city was never coming. Rescheduled with the city only for them not to show for the second day. I am DONE. When called Delta to let them know of the trouble there was not apology or sympathy for me re-arranging 2 days and canceling appointments. DO NOT USE DELTA!!!!! read more

Our water heater fails at 7am on a Friday, we call Home Depot water heater hotline (Home Depot uses Delta Mechanical for delivery and install), and Delta had us up and running by 1 pm on the very same day. Delta employees were courteous, careful, removed the old, installed the new, and cleaned up the work area. Oleg was the lead installer and he was very knowledgeable, patient with our questions, and we were very happy with the service. read more

I called them to install a 40 gallon Energy Star water heater. The tech, Steve showed up on time and when he saw the installation area, took measurements told me that the water heater I wanted would not work in the area due to the lack of venting. He suggested several other options, non Energy Star, and said that customer service would call with the prices. They called and left a message. It took 1 1/2 hours to get through to customer service (subtract one star). They gave me a price on another heater and said the tech would be out between 11-3. He was here just before 2. It took almost three hours to install the heater. He went over all of the controls and was very professional. The only other comment would be the price to install was almost $900 including a new ball valve, new pipes, and new gas connection hose. read more

I am trying to get my final inspection scheduled. I said Monday. The inspector called me today - Friday to ask why I wasn't home for my inspection. Three hours later, Jimmy called back to say he would reschedule. Sorry Jimmy, got it worked out with the inspector. He then proceeds to tell me that my permit was returned in the mail and he was wondering if I got it. Well Jimmy, if it was returned, then I must not have gotten it. They gave me a estimated price and a time window of 4pm to 6pm. Yes, the quote was a little higher then some of the others, but they could get it done the same day. The tech called me at about 2:30pm and said he could come early. He showed up at about 3pm. The water heater was replaced and working in about an hour. The tech was very nice, very imformative, answered all my questions. He was very neat, didn't leave a mess. I am extremely satisfied. read more

We bought a fixer upper last year. If you've been in the same boat, I'm confident you have your own horror stories working with different contractors. This is not a horror story though. We actually had a great experience with the plumber assigned to replace out water heater. His name slips my mind (possible Oscar) but he was on time, courteous, and honest. He told us that the water leak found on the floor was most likely not due to the water heater. In fact he thought the water heater was in great shape. After much hesitancy my BF ran the bath located above the water heater and discovered the problem was a leak coming from the bathtub drain (that's a whole other Oprah). We avoided repairs which would have cost us over $1000!!! Something we don't readily have due to the remodeling. Thanks Delta Mechanical. My water heater crapped out last night. Went to Home Depot this morning, picked a new one, and set an appointment for same day installation. Dian installed the new unit and hauled away my old one. Very friendly guy. Did the work, and then showed me in detail what he did, including instructions on how to operate it. He even put extra straps on my waterline to ensure that it was tightly secured to the rafters. read more

My experience with Delta Mechanical has been nothing less than pain full. I had 2 water heaters installed (purchased from Home Depot) and HD recommended Delta Mechanical to do the installation. Delta arrived 2 hrs after the recommended installation window (4 hrs). Since the installation we have had continuous issues with the showers turning from hot to cold in a 5 min period. After dealing with the manufacturer of the water heaters and having my plumber ($$) assess the situation, I finally got Delta to schedule a warranty call. They gave me a 4 hr window for service. Fifteen min before the window was to expire, Delta call to reschedule for the next day. After i was very persistent that they send someone at night (I didn't want to take another vacation day for a reschedule date ), the technician spent 5 minutes looking at the installation and left. Delta tried to reschedule for a 4 hr window on Saturday but I had a family commitment and I asked for a shorter commitment window but the 4 hrs was their policy. My recommendation is to stay away from Delta Mechanical and don't take Home Depots recommendations. Brian Mac! read more

I called Home Depot at 9 AM as y husband was being discharged from the hospital. Delta Mechanical picked up and in ten minutes or less I had an appointment today at 2:00 P.M. Sure enough Oleg pulled up, surveyed the area and started to work. One hour and 45 minutes later, he had removed, installed to code, hauled out the old and made sure I understood the operation. He even installed a 90 degree PVC pipe for drainage. The area was cleaner than when he arrived and only a small pile of trash remained. What a pro - clean neat professional and competent! In late July 2014, we called Home Depot to ask about water heater installation, they offered a free consultation that we chose to take advantage of. They sent over Pauline, the Field Manager from Delta Plumbing to take a look and give us a quota for installation of our water heater. Near the end of the consultation, he gave us the hefty sum of $2,850 for installation, after our negotiation. This included the installation of an outlet that we already had in place for $350 and a new gas pipe that cost $500. Pauline also said that he offers LOWEST PRICE GUARANTEE which allowed us to find another quote and he would take 10% off their quote to install. After him, we had two consultations, one for $1550 and another for $2000. We called Pauline and asked him to take a look at these quotes. During the call, we asked him to honor his guarantee, to which he responded that he will not look at repairmen from "craigslist". These two consultations were licensed technicians with an A+ BBB rating. After telling us that he will not honor these consultations, he told us to look for another repairman and that he doesn't need our business. Delta Plumbing lost customers and our good review. Pauline was especially disrespectful and refused to honor anything that he had previously promised. read more

They contract through Home Depot and wanted $800 to install a $450 hot water heater from Home Depot. Gave me a 4-6 p.m. window and never showed up. Spent 3 phone calls and 45 minutes with their 18664033582 number, got hung up on 2 phone calls and finally got through to someone in the 3rd phone call which didn't help me. Talked to the Manager at Home Depot off of Santa Fe and he offered to call Delta for me. 20 minutes later got a call from Delta it is now 7:30 p.m. they're stating no one will be out here today and they will have to reschedule. No remorse, no apologies. Cancelled their order and heading to Lowe's now. Good luck everyone. read more

Terrible customer service. Multiple ignored voice messages. Finally got someone to show up to give me a quote for a water heater install. I made clear that the location was a rental unit and I am off site. The renter would show him the space but he would need to call me with questions and to present his quote. Almost a week later. No call, no email, no text message and NO QUOTE. Moving on. read more

Water Heater Fiasco Do not use Delta Mechanical Home Depot's plumbing service. Please. I am begging you. Yes, I read all the negative yelp reviews.Yes I believed them, but the earliest I could get my water heater replaced by another plumber was at least a week. I'm not going to lie, I like my hot shower, my dishwasher and my washing machine. So I fell for the "same day service" crap that Home Depot fed me. Like other reviewers before me I waited on hold for 20 min over and over again. Plumber #1 never showed up tor his 3-6pm window and never called. After 3 calls to the main number who kept transferring us to dispatch, we got a well rehearsed "the plumber's truck broke down" he is on the side of the road waiting for help. How original. We were told our next window would be 8-10 tomorrow. Plumber #2 called the next morning at 9:15 to make sure he had the right address for the Home Depot where he was to go to pick up the water heater. At 10:15 he calls again to say that Home Depot has no record of the purchase so we have to spend 30 min figuring that out with customer service. At 11:45 he shows up and tries to charge us $30 for a drip pan they said was included with the price. We told him no and he proceeded to call the main number and fight with them. So on and on and on it goes. It is now 12:45 and I'm worried about my hardwood floors...they have no pads, and just brought the new one in on a hand truck and set it straight on the floor.I wish I could give Delta Mechanical negative 5 stars.
