This is definitely one of the better lounges although it can get quite crowded on holidays and weekends. It has a nice view of Capitol Hill. They do keep it quite clean. Food is decent and better than when I go to other lounges I suggest a stop by, especially for Amex platinum users before the restrictions come in next year.

Average Sky Club that has plenty of seating for individuals. I wouldn't recommend this location if you have small children since it seems like it is set up for business folks. They have a small hot food section and the standard coffee and soda machines. They don't have a lot of staff but it is great for grabbing a quick bite or drink before your flight or unwinding shortly after your arrival. I had no issues checking in after arriving on my outbound journey and then spent more time on my inbound journey. Overall, pretty average.

Bottom line: as other reviews mentioned, it's a good place to come up, have a beer, recharge, and continue forward. It is not the best sky clubs I've been to with regards to service and food but it's better then nothing. Service: hit or miss. The bartender and wait staff were initially very attentive but you can see by looking around the plates and empty drinks were stacking up. The food at the lines were going empty... and the breakfast is re-heated continental at best. Venue: the view is very nice. Like most other clubs/lounges, you get a first view of the tarmac. This particular venue has the view of the city and Capitol Hill, which is unique itself. If anything, come here for the view and couple it with a drink. Overall: again- would still recommend coming here. It's still a good venue to take a break away from the crowd and a place to recharge. Every seat and table has an outlet for your electronics to recharge as well!

A note: the Delta SkyClub is membership-based lounge that gives members with the same-day Delta tickets access. Please don't be wandering in here demanding access, claiming that you read my review and want in, if you're flying Spirit or something. This has been an incredibly tough summer for flying, and I am grateful DCA has Delta SkyClub that makes the experience a bit easier. Delta's flights are located on Terminal 2 within DCA. The SkyClub is located by Gate 15, which makes it quite a convenient, since it will be the first thing Delta customers see when getting to their gates. Before entering, customers are checked in at the kiosks out front, and the representatives there are even nice enough to remind each person of their flight time and gate, just in case they have too good a time inside. One of the things I dread most about traveling is having to use dirty restrooms, and the SkyClub here has quite a dedicated staff that cleans the restrooms quite regularly. What's more, the stalls have doors that to all the way down, which allows for greater privacy. Food options are both healthy and tasty - the last time I was here, the menu included turkey as well as shrimp sliders, which make for a lunch lighter meal prior to a flight. There are also vegan options as well as soups and snacks. Along with soda machines and infused water, they also serve top-of-the-line Starbucks coffee and other more fancy caffeinated drinks. Those who enjoy a few alcoholic beverages can select from a variety of standard drinks and beers (complementary). The more fancy drinks are available for purchase via miles or cash (they accept cards, also). The chairs are large and comfortable, and the glass windows allow aviation enthusiasts and pint-sized traveled to plane watch while waiting. If you're a frequent traveler, the Delta SkyClub membership is well worth it, since Delta has these clubs at most airports. Memberships are available through many ways. I paid $550 for my yearly membership with the miles I earned. I fly once or twice a month, and access the club about 30-40 times a year. That comes out to be about $18 a visit at the most conservative estimate, and that's well worth it for clean restrooms, food and drinks and a relaxing atmosphere before a flight. Holders of the Delta-branded American Express platinum can get in for $39 per visit, and Delta Reserve members get in for free. Airline loyalty memberships and clubs can be complicated. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

DCA airport - Nice quiet spot to get away from the hustle & bustle. Great food options. Pretty great domestic lounge in DCA airport for waiting between connecting flights. My wine glass has some particles in the bottom that no one could identify but the 1st 1/2 of the Ros'e was good. Plenty of seating and friendly people to help you if anything is needed. Still give 4 stars even though my wine glass has extra particles. #quietplace #dirtyglasses #lotsofroom

Long awaited and much needed improvement is a huge success! This Sky Club was under a seemingly endless renovation. At long last, it is open with all of the beautiful improvements. And wow! What a beauty it is! The new bar is gorgeous. The light fixtures are modernized and shiny and bright. The food buffet is one of the best I've seen at a Delta lounge, with soup and sandwiches, crackers and cheese and fruit, even fresh veggies and salad, and of course the standard brownies and snack mix. The decor is simultaneously relaxing and energizing, which is perfect for the hustle and bustle of travelers constantly in and out of this lounge. The staff is still as friendly as always, and watch out, they pour a stronnnnggg drink. Their CLEAR access at the entry even works, yay! Only small complaints would be the vie water system was not working, and there are no charging outlets at the bar area. Very happy to finally have the old tiny stuffy space and mess of construction gone. This new lounge feels open and airy and lovely. I'll have to start coming to DCA much earlier before my flights to take advantage of this great space.

@delta.com Love the upgrade in meal options @DCASkyclub @DCADeltaSkyClub the 3 cheese Mac-n-cheese with savory chicken thighs paired with coleslaw was delish. Comfort food and flights are a match made in Heaven. Thanks!

Made it through security to see the Delta elevator headed up to the lounge. Easy to check in and a wide space with plenty of seating options. Power to be had for electronic devices and wifi easily accessible. The bar is the central star at this lunge with plenty of complimentary and pay options. The food bar adjacent is stocked with nice options the staff keeps maintained.

Still a calm and peaceful oasis away from the noise and bustle of the terminal, Delta now offers food and many free drink options in their Sky Clubs. As a Diamond Medallion, having a Sky Club membership is a very good thing. This week, I was not only able to make a very important phone call from somewhere very quiet, I was able to get assistance from the club angel to jump onto an earlier flight home. Four hours earlier! How much is your time worth? It's certainly worth a Sky Club membership!

The lounge isn't very large, but it wasn't crowded while I was there. It was very clean, comfortable, and looked nice. The bar area was probably the nicest part. It was large and very well set up. The food was good, but there wasn't a big variety. They had a couple of egg options, sausage links, plenty of fresh fruit, and breads. It was enough for breakfast, just not a huge selection. Everyone on the staff was pleasant, and they stayed on top of cleaning and clearing dishes. I could see the lounge getting busy later in the day because of its size, but early in the morning it was a comfortable place to eat and relax before my flight. I would use it again.

When you come to your table, you scan the QR code and order from their menu. They have a variety of dishes on their breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. All of them come out in small plates. We came during breakfast but right as they switched over to lunch, so we got to try from both menus. Overall, the food was a 10/10! I think I actually liked the breakfast food more - mainly the quiche and belgian waffles with bacon. The lunch food was still pretty good too. We also got alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks that were yummy! The service was great!! The food came out within 10-15 min of ordering and there was plenty of staff serving, cleaning up dishes and pouring champagne. We actually had an accident where a glass of champagne fell and spilled everywhere, but the staff responded right away and helped clean our table and also our belongings. I personally prefer the DCA landing because the airport is much smaller so it's more convenient for me. After they've removed guests from accessing the lounge for free, it's hit or miss still whether there will be a wait. Usually I'm still able to get in in time before my flight departs but I do wish they were more efficient with the seating. Now that they only allow the cardholder, I ended up sitting at a booth for 4 by myself and same with a lot of other people and that's why there was a wait. The food is always amazing though. They switch up the menu slightly but for the most part there are the same staples that hit every time. It's a very nice, calm atmosphere before getting on my flight.

Dear reader, The…read moreCenturion Lounge at DCA is a very civilised way to begin a trip and, in my view, one of the more enjoyable airport lounges to spend time in. A number of recent reviews praise the lounge for its attractive design, comfortable seating, strong food and drink program, and thoughtful amenities, and that all feels quite fair. It is in Terminal 2 near the south security checkpoint, and the lounge's own materials describe it as a spacious, elegant place to relax, refresh, and have a cocktail before a flight. What I especially love are the wellness shots, the coffee machines, and the open bar. Those little wellness shots feel like the sort of optimistic airport decision one ought to make before boarding, and the coffee setup is genuinely excellent if one needs to become a person again before takeoff. The bar is also a very strong point in its favour. American Express highlights its curated cocktail, wine, and non-alcoholic drink selection, and that polish absolutely comes through. Everyone is also very nice, which makes a difference. Add in the comfortable atmosphere and the feeling that you can actually pause for a moment before flying, and it all makes for a thoroughly pleasant pre-flight ritual. A proper little oasis at DCA.

The lounges that I've been to have been because of travel companions. The Amex Lounge was no different! My sweet friend booked breakfast in Arlington, the Pentagon area that is what he said. When my uber picked me up, the app said I was heading to the Amex Lounge at the airport. I laughed because I thought I was eating at the airport and airport food isn't always the best. I thought our weekend was starting off odd. But I don't complain and go with the flow, so if you like it, I love it. I had my bags because we always do staycations, so with my bag in tow he meets me at the uber upon drop-off and says our dinner reservations are in Florida, hope you don't mind that's why I had you pack your bags. What a surprise. He says we have time to go to the Amex lounge to grab breakfast before we take off. I am speechless, literally speechless. We grab our tickets and head straight to the lounge. Wow! Okay so I've been to the Capital One Lounge and that was great but honestly AMEX is killing it! The food was actually really good! Bar is awesome! Everything was clean! It's newer so it's phenomenal! I've been told I need lounge access for as much as I travel. I immediately got on my phone to search to get the AMEX card, that's how nice this place was. Luckily he asked what I was doing on my phone. I said I need to be able to come here all year long so I'm going to throw the flag in and get a card. He laughed and said it would be easier just to add me to his account. And just like that, I'm a AMEX card holder! The card came in 3 business days. I'll be coming to this airport early! And will be looking forward to traveling this year to visit all the AMEX lounges. Amex is the way to go! Oh and a little life hack, our plan never works. Gods plan does! Grateful.

While the clubs used to be spacious with decent food and drink offerings and excellent service, the clubs have become much busier with fewer seats available and average food and drink options. It seems that everyone has access to an Admirals Club nowadays and brings their entire families. With that said, this particular lounge is one of the larger locations I have been in (at the DCA E-gates), and there are many places within the lounge to relax, do work, grab a snack, or anything else. In fact, for such a large lounge, there were surprisingly open seats here and there where I'm used to smaller lounges without any open seats. There is comfortable seating as well as bar seating and table seating. Also over the last year, I've begun to see the efforts made to improve the Admirals Club membership which includes complimentary hot food throughout the day from soups, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, meatballs, and breakfast items (not all at once though). There are charcuterie offerings, dessert trays, a salad bar, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and then house drinks. You can pay more for premium drinks and prepared meals. There are also Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining locations, which offer much more than just Admirals Clubs. I'm confident that making it easy to get Admirals Club memberships has led to lounges being overcrowded though now that you have to pay for authorized users instead of getting them for free in recent years, that may help. You can also redeem AAdvantage miles for membership or access to the Admirals Club. We ordered things. Those things arrived. Transactions occurred. Mission accomplished. Would I go back? Absolutely if someone suggested it. Would I cross state lines and embark on a pilgrimage? Probably not. But I'd order that chicken sandwich again without hesitation... and maybe ask if they'll put my margarita on a brioche bun too.
