Pardon the messy plate. Salad with feta, pasta salad, roasted veggies rice and chicken
    Steven C.

Chef Monique Woodland is by far the best! I had an opportunity to come here on 28 August and have breakfast, the menu was ok, but Chef made it so much better with her engagement and listening ear. For breakfast my only comment is the grits had wayyy to much over of an over powering onion taste. My son had a liver transplant at eight weeks old due to a metabolic condition, which does not allow him to have dairy. When I informed Chef Mo of his condition, she immediately sprang into action, looking for foods that were safe for him to eat during the breakfast hour. She offered to look into getting non-dairy options for breakfast, such as non-dairy yogurt and other breads that he could enjoy. I really appreciate her attention to detail and the fact that she went above and beyond, but only in trying to accommodate our dietary needs. She also went as far as helping us find a seat during the hectic morning rush. Fast-forward, I am again in the lounge, and OMG, the food is fantastic. The mushroom soup was phenomenal, although a bit loose and not as much of a bisque as I had thought, it was flavorful and well-balanced. The carrot soup with saffron was really a great surprise. It was spicy. It was balanced. It was thick and creamy. It was perfect. The chicken was, as usual, excellent, and the pasta salad was a great addition to the chicken. While the rice was a little hard for my liking, it was nicely seasoned, and the roasted vegetables were nicely done. Overall, the food temperature was not as hot as it could be, but I do allow the fact that it is on a buffet, and that may play part in having hot food on display. This was a 10 out of 10 visit.

This lounge has only been open for almost a year. It is spacious, chic, comfy & clean! Super friendly & welcoming reception staff especially at 5:30 in the morning lol. Before 6:00am they serve a continental breakfast of fruit & pastries but at 6:00am the hot stuff comes out. I got a delicious cappuccino & some breakfast. Yummmm. The staff is all really happy & smiling & I love that! Such a great experience! Safe travels peeps!

This is my base airport lounge and it never disappoints. It does get bzy but the service is top notch is always clean and food is yummy. Exact reasons why we keep Amex. If it's bzy the day you happen to be here... just keep walking. It is bigger than it seems so walk all the way to the back to find more seating.

Delayed flight and had a pleasure to spend some time relaxing in the this centurian lounge until i was ready to board my flight. This location is kept very clean and plenty of fresh fruit constantly being refilled. Food is buffet style and good tasting too. Plenty of couches, chairs and tables. Free wifi. Highly recommend.

The American Express Centurion Lounge is a pretty solid lounge overall. Good food choices and everything is laid out efficiently. It's an easy in-and-out stop if you're grabbing a bite or a quick break before your flight. Not overly flashy, but comfortable and reliable--does exactly what you need it to do.

The Amex Centurian at DCA is an upscale lounge. It is richly decorated and offers a comfortable place to relax prior to your flight. There is a buffet of food usually featuring chicken. You can also enjoy a nice adult beverage. Service is usually friendly and relaxed. The lounge can become quite crowded and you need to sign on to waitlist. DCA is fortunate to have several decent lounges and this is one.

First time in the Centurion Lounge at the airport. Located on the second floor just past security, it seems clean and modern, with lots of artwork, couches and chairs. Much larger than the United Club. The food was very decent.

We are spoiled to have such great lounge options at DCA, the Centurion Lounge first and foremost. Great food and drinks with lovely bar staff. The decor is modern with tall glass windows you can peer through to see the runway from certain spots. The food is always elevated and I'm glad they usually have a salad, protein and roasted vegetable options. Definitely a must visit if you're an Amex Platinum member!

Food and desert. Indian day with a variety of cookies
    Chris F.

One of the better Centurion Lonuges as it's very spacious and has a lot of seating that is comfortable such as more lounge areas and private multimedia rooms. The buffet had indian food for the day and multiple different types of cookies and mini deserts. The bar was quick and had a good amount of local beers from the DC area that were great. The staff was very nice and ensured the lounge stayed clean as they were picking up plates and cups every few minutes. A nice little bonus for some caffeine was some nitro cold brew coffee on tap that you could set the level of nitro for the creamiest level to taste.

    Coconut complimentary cocktail too sweet.

Pretty good breakfast, OK dinner, OUTSTANDING complimentary cocktails - i've been here three or four times since they opened - large, spacious place with plenty of seating option types, eg couches, comfy chairs, stoic tables for eating, bar stools, and semi-private office type cubicles for people who desperately want to telework while waiting for the flight. - excellent staff who makes you feel welcome. When checking in as well as cleaning on your tables and making your cocktail - breakfast typically has 1 to 2 types of eggs and meat and a few starches. - be forewarned, they limit the beverage options before 10:30 AM. I could not get a single bourbon drink, but I could get mamosas, bloody Mary's and bailey's with coffee - the attached are bad pictures of an absolutely great complementary cocktail menu. They offer several multi-liquor concoctions that are infused with this, that and the other thing and are much more exquisite than a Jack and Coke. My favorite cocktails were the Haku cherry-infused martini, and the bourbon- forward DC cocktail. The coconut rum drink was a little too sweet for me and reminded me of a bad high school (ahem college) experience. This addition has made an absolutely welcome addition to my frequent DCA airport trips.

My primary lounge is LaGuardia, which is a bright, shining, new multi-million dollar facility. We're talking about getting ready to open a rooftop deck, white marble everywhere, premium fixtures, and all the bells and whistles. But then I snapped myself out of it. This isn't a huge lounge, but it does have a lot of spaces by large windows, to sit and admire the views of the Capitol. There are various types of seating--individual seats, business spaces with tables, a small quiet space for people who have meetings or need to concentrate. It's not crowded, not loud. Very understated. The bartenders are nice. Basic drink service you can expect from the average club. The food offerings are a little more sparse than the newer or larger clubs. The cheese had dried out. I didn't feel confident enough to try the sandwiches, as they had mayo on them, and I didn't feel they were at the right temp for safe consumption. They had some soup, hummus, and a couple meat dishes. The staff were very nice and attentive, keeping tables cleared and making sure we were taken care of. So is it mind blowing? Nah. But it's a quiet spot to get away from the terminal, with nice folks and some cocktails. The food could use a little work, but it was later in the day, so maybe they were winding that service down.

The space is a bit crowded, with every seat being occupied at most points, but the important thing is that it is clean and the bathroom is equally clean. I do wish the food and seating options were more available, but the options existing are nice enough to have a positive experience. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: E Menu: E Overall: +2 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

For early morning flyers, they offer a continental breakfast from 5-6am, but be aware that the hot breakfast buffet doesn't get fully set up until about 15-30 minutes after that window. The biggest downside for me is AMEX's updated pet policy--only service animals are allowed now. The lounge has always been my go‑to when flying out of DCA, but since I often travel with my pets, I've had to switch to other lounge options because of this change. On the plus side, charging outlets are plentiful and easy to access at almost every seat, except in the dining area. Staff members are consistently quick about clearing dishes, which keeps the space feeling clean and comfortable. The restrooms are modern, spotless, and well maintained every time I visit. A small tip: the elevator is *very* slow, so if you're able, take the stairs--it's much faster. Overall, it's still a good lounge with solid amenities and a relaxing atmosphere--when it isn't crowded. If not for the updated pet policy, it would be a five-star experience for me.

On my most recent visit, I was able to enjoy the breakfast. They had a good variety: pastries, yogurt, juice, eggs, potatoes, homefries, oatmeal, etc. Also, service at the bar was speedy and friendly. I did have to hunt for a seat, but lucked out and got one of the honeycomb-style single cubicles in the back. Also, in spite of the lounge being very busy, there was no wait for the shower. The shower was a waterfall style showerhead and also had an accessible showerhead too. Also, they were able to hook me up with a toothbrush and toothpaste. If this lounge wasn't so overcrowded, it would be an easy 5 . Overall, worth popping into if you have access.

Since we travel with our cats, the smaller side rooms away from the main seating area are a huge plus. They give us a quieter, semi-private space with less commotion, which helps keep the cats calm before a flight. The lounge has all the basics you'd want: coffee machines, drip coffee, a cereal station, continental breakfast options, and a hot food station. The food quality is decent for an airport lounge, and the staff does a good job keeping everything stocked and clean even during busy times. There are also plenty of outlets for charging devices, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and the bathrooms are consistently clean. The only downside is that this lounge feels a little dated compared to the newer Admirals Club at the E Gates. Still, the pet-friendly atmosphere and quieter layout keep us coming back.

The welcoming front desk advised us to find seating in the section behind the elevators, which featured a huge fireplace, a living room-like atmosphere, and huge floor to ceiling windows looking out over the airport. On this side, there was a fridge with some fruit and yogurts, plus a drink counter with sparkling water taps, teas, and coffees. On the other side is the bar, bathrooms, more seating areas but mostly tables and chairs, and the food. So we walked back and forth from each section, but preferred that to being in the busier part. We found 4 comfortable chairs facing each other and ended up at times sitting on the rug in between playing board games. The bathrooms were pristine, and my kids loved the cherry blossom display next to the door. The food was ample, with fixing to make sandwiches with, plus soups, and lots of other items to snack on, plus granola and nut mixes, brownies and cake bites, and a coke machine that had so many options! I wish there was a takeout box or two so I could have brought my children's leftover sandwiches on the plane with us. Thanks to everyone who made our visit so pleasant!
