Smallish type lounge at the end of the terminal. Quaint and a historical mark as their photo inside reads inside. They wanted to keep the ambiance of the original lounge. It is still there. I was there for breakfast. They had a small selection of juices, fruit, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and mini breakfast burritos. Muffins and yogurt. A small bar. Look for the larger room behind the food if the main room is full with people and them saving spaces with their bags

First time at a United Club. I dont usually fly United. The one here in DCA is a little dated. Food was limited and didnt seem like it was fresh. Probably wouldn't go back to this one in DCA.

Talk about some retro vibes of this cozy lounge. Plenty of large chairs with plugs to charge your electronics for the flight. The food selection was above average with some healthy options, including salads and protein additions. Have kiddos traveling with, or just a kid at heart? The hot cocoa and cider station are not to miss!

This is one of the smaller United Clubs that has not been updated. That said this one sends positive vibes with its 1950s retro feel. It is like stepping back in time. Additionally, it has some great airport runway views. The food is the usual and it has the basics. It also has a bar if you need something frothy. Service is pleasant on a consistent basis.

Just fine. Somewhat of a hidden place in terminal 2 by the b gates. Elevator or stairs. Your choice. Go yo the port hole door, but you have to be buzzed in. Promptly greeted and scanned in. I was there earlier, so not too many fellow passengers yet. Food selection was decent. Coffee was hot. Location is lovely. Lots of windows overlooking the flight line. Good selection at the bar for those interested. Recommended.

Still a 3 but actually rounding it up one star to a 4 based on speaking with the Sodexo MOD who answered questions why they can't remodel this club due to it being a historical site regarding the main entrance after checking in which it was a restaurant called the Terrace Room. Therefore it would take an Act of Congress to make that change as well as other local governmental entities and don't forget environmental as well. I also asked about protein food items not being held under cold holding on the service area and since the food on the self serve turns over fast any leftover food is discarded after 4 hours from when it is removed from the original temperature control unit prior to be putting out on the self serve area. Just wanted to make sure they were following the food safety guidelines since I deal with quality assurance regarding food. I had a long wait before my flight departed so every staff member was either cleaning or removing dirty small wares or leftovers as well as constantly maintaining the cleanliness of the bathrooms - sorry can only speak for the He, Him, It restrooms. This is a smaller UA Club and is limited as to what they can provide (i.e. they have no kitchen) and not updated but what makes up for their areas for opportunities is that the had a great staff working on the day that I was there .

    Bar is not self-serve

Food is meh. More so since Covid which made pre-packaging necessary. On the positive side - having this lounge near the gate is quite convenient and a good place to hangout especially if your flight is delayed.

Very nice united location. Second floor

This club is so much better than the United club in Chicago. Cleaner and better food selection. Maybe it's better because it's harder to get to in DC. At the end of the terminal and up the elevator. Not easy to drop in for a quick bite.

Meh. Not a bad lounge. Lots of seating anyway, and right next to the gates you'd be flying out of. On the other hand, the snack selection is almost nothing. It's lunchtime and they have soup, some cheese, some salsa and chips, cookies, and coffee. End list. Oh well there's also a bar!

    Orest S.

This is a regular United lounge in DCA. They have some snacks, not bad coffee and juice. Comfortable chais and good wine.

    Dirty martini!

My primary lounge is LaGuardia, which is a bright, shining, new multi-million dollar facility. We're talking about getting ready to open a rooftop deck, white marble everywhere, premium fixtures, and all the bells and whistles. But then I snapped myself out of it. This isn't a huge lounge, but it does have a lot of spaces by large windows, to sit and admire the views of the Capitol. There are various types of seating--individual seats, business spaces with tables, a small quiet space for people who have meetings or need to concentrate. It's not crowded, not loud. Very understated. The bartenders are nice. Basic drink service you can expect from the average club. The food offerings are a little more sparse than the newer or larger clubs. The cheese had dried out. I didn't feel confident enough to try the sandwiches, as they had mayo on them, and I didn't feel they were at the right temp for safe consumption. They had some soup, hummus, and a couple meat dishes. The staff were very nice and attentive, keeping tables cleared and making sure we were taken care of. So is it mind blowing? Nah. But it's a quiet spot to get away from the terminal, with nice folks and some cocktails. The food could use a little work, but it was later in the day, so maybe they were winding that service down.

The space is a bit crowded, with every seat being occupied at most points, but the important thing is that it is clean and the bathroom is equally clean. I do wish the food and seating options were more available, but the options existing are nice enough to have a positive experience. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: E Menu: E Overall: +2 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

For early morning flyers, they offer a continental breakfast from 5-6am, but be aware that the hot breakfast buffet doesn't get fully set up until about 15-30 minutes after that window. The biggest downside for me is AMEX's updated pet policy--only service animals are allowed now. The lounge has always been my go‑to when flying out of DCA, but since I often travel with my pets, I've had to switch to other lounge options because of this change. On the plus side, charging outlets are plentiful and easy to access at almost every seat, except in the dining area. Staff members are consistently quick about clearing dishes, which keeps the space feeling clean and comfortable. The restrooms are modern, spotless, and well maintained every time I visit. A small tip: the elevator is *very* slow, so if you're able, take the stairs--it's much faster. Overall, it's still a good lounge with solid amenities and a relaxing atmosphere--when it isn't crowded. If not for the updated pet policy, it would be a five-star experience for me.

Dear reader, The…read moreCenturion Lounge at DCA is a very civilised way to begin a trip and, in my view, one of the more enjoyable airport lounges to spend time in. A number of recent reviews praise the lounge for its attractive design, comfortable seating, strong food and drink program, and thoughtful amenities, and that all feels quite fair. It is in Terminal 2 near the south security checkpoint, and the lounge's own materials describe it as a spacious, elegant place to relax, refresh, and have a cocktail before a flight. What I especially love are the wellness shots, the coffee machines, and the open bar. Those little wellness shots feel like the sort of optimistic airport decision one ought to make before boarding, and the coffee setup is genuinely excellent if one needs to become a person again before takeoff. The bar is also a very strong point in its favour. American Express highlights its curated cocktail, wine, and non-alcoholic drink selection, and that polish absolutely comes through. Everyone is also very nice, which makes a difference. Add in the comfortable atmosphere and the feeling that you can actually pause for a moment before flying, and it all makes for a thoroughly pleasant pre-flight ritual. A proper little oasis at DCA.

The lounges that I've been to have been because of travel companions. The Amex Lounge was no different! My sweet friend booked breakfast in Arlington, the Pentagon area that is what he said. When my uber picked me up, the app said I was heading to the Amex Lounge at the airport. I laughed because I thought I was eating at the airport and airport food isn't always the best. I thought our weekend was starting off odd. But I don't complain and go with the flow, so if you like it, I love it. I had my bags because we always do staycations, so with my bag in tow he meets me at the uber upon drop-off and says our dinner reservations are in Florida, hope you don't mind that's why I had you pack your bags. What a surprise. He says we have time to go to the Amex lounge to grab breakfast before we take off. I am speechless, literally speechless. We grab our tickets and head straight to the lounge. Wow! Okay so I've been to the Capital One Lounge and that was great but honestly AMEX is killing it! The food was actually really good! Bar is awesome! Everything was clean! It's newer so it's phenomenal! I've been told I need lounge access for as much as I travel. I immediately got on my phone to search to get the AMEX card, that's how nice this place was. Luckily he asked what I was doing on my phone. I said I need to be able to come here all year long so I'm going to throw the flag in and get a card. He laughed and said it would be easier just to add me to his account. And just like that, I'm a AMEX card holder! The card came in 3 business days. I'll be coming to this airport early! And will be looking forward to traveling this year to visit all the AMEX lounges. Amex is the way to go! Oh and a little life hack, our plan never works. Gods plan does! Grateful.

From lounge perspective, this delta sky club was less crowded than Centurion. The staff at delta was also more attentive in removing finished plates and trash. From food perspective, I thought delta had better food compared to the nearby Centurion. I sampled all their offerings and i liked the braised pork over rice. They also have veggies, pasta, and mini slices of sandwich and wrap. They have the typical bar. On my prior flight where i first came here, they had a pineapple ginger drink that i liked and it ran out quickly. They also have dessert that I didn't try. I still think chase has the best food and beverages in general but delta is the next best thing. In this airport, especially if you use the nearby terminals, delta over Centurion any time.

The welcoming front desk advised us to find seating in the section behind the elevators, which featured a huge fireplace, a living room-like atmosphere, and huge floor to ceiling windows looking out over the airport.
