As a former employee, I was disappointed with my experience. The wash itself was absolutely worth the money, and everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the detailing service. After picking up my car, there was still dog slobber on the inside of the windows and paw prints left on the seats. The exterior also didn't appear to receive the finishing touches I expected--it wasn't hand-wiped after the wash, and no tire shine was applied. Having worked there, I've seen vehicles come into the detail shop in much worse condition than mine and leave looking spotless. That's why I was especially surprised and disappointed with the quality of the work on my car. I understand that no detail is perfect, but I expected a much more thorough job, especially for a paid detailing service. While I would definitely recommend the car wash, I don't feel the detail shop provided the value I paid for. read more

Then they had the audacity to claim that I used an ice scraper on my car and that's what caused this not the cloth curtains that drag along your vehicle that could occasionally pick something up from the vehicles in front of you no no no I apparently used an ice scraper on the paint of my vehicle. I went through the Carwash. I Bought the Super Interior cleaning. My husband had already vacuumed the rugs inside the whole car. I paid extra to have my removeable floor rugs cleaned. When he brought back 2 of the 3 floor rugs, they looked great. However, the door jams were still filthy. The young man took a rag, and sprayed a chemical to clean the door jams. I gave him a tip. I got home, and opened the trunk to take the wet rugs out, to dry. No one even bothered to clean the stationary windows inside, or any of the interior walls of the back of the car, either. A male customer behind me had a BMW. I looked at his car, because his doors were open, and it was spotless inside, and out. Shiny, and clean. This company has several locations and this one absolutely didn't disappoint. When I arrived, I talked to staff about previous experiences with their other location that was bad, and they took it to heart and did a great job detailing and shampooing our corporate Jeep after exterior was finished. I wrote a review about the Erie Blvd Delta Sonic being confusing and slow. This Delta Sonic is the opposite. Even when the line is long the wait isn't terrible and they get cars in and out of there quickly. I have never gotten their interior detailing but I know a few friends who have and they say its pretty good. read more

Very poor customer service. Waited in line for 10 minutes. And no one came over to us. My mom had to go find a sales associate to help us so we could get our car washed. My mom asked the first associate if they could please tape her rear windshield wiper down so it wouldn't move during the wash. He said he did. My mom asked me to check the rear window - and the associate never taped the wiper down. We asked the next associate we saw about 20 feet down the car wash if the rear wiper had been taped down. She said it hadn't but she couldn't help my mom. We ended up at the next associate's station (right before going into the actual car wash) and he said the wiper hadn't been taped down and he wouldn't be able to assist us either. I'm shocked. I'd been to DS before but each of their associates we dealt with had very poor customer service and were not helpful. I would never go back to his location. read more

I went to use my free oil change I received when I signed up for unlimited wash. The free oil change cost me $10 but that's another story. A couple of days after the oil change I noticed a large oil spot where I park my truck. At first I thought it might be from the oil they spilled on my engine during the oil change but I looked under the truck and seen this tiny oil filter where normally there is a large oil filter for my V10 6.8 liter engine. I started the truck and watched the oil spew from the oil filter seal. I sent a comment to delta sonic and a few days later a rep called me and said they used the right filter and if I want to pursue the matter I should take it up with the store where it happened. Love having their monthly membership! It makes it so easy to get the errand of washing your daily driver car done efficiently especially before or in between client meetings. I go to this location maybe once a week. This location does get busy however I feel it isn't as crazy of a line wait as others. I'm not sure if it's because there's 4 lines for checking in and 2 per wash areas before the 1 main car wash area but overall the setup of this location makes sense. This location also has a Tim hortons so sometimes it's nice to go through that drive thru, get a coffee and some breakfast/snacks, then go back around and eat it while sitting through the car wash. That's a different kind of "self-care" and nice break in the day!! read more

*Buyer BEWARE Easily one of the worst customer experiences ever. Pathetic. I took my father's car over for an interior cleaning to do something nice for him. Purchased basic interior clean even got suckered into a $20 upcharge for (shampooing) rubber floor mats. When the car was returned it looked like it was barely touched. The seats and floor were still dirty, the dash was filthy. Long story short spent $60 to have a car returned to me basically the same. It's really sad. I understand they offer more thorough interior packages. However, I can tell you from experience working at the erie blvd location some 20 years ago, even when you purchased the basic interior clean back then we were very thorough and often went above and beyond what was expected. Undersell over-perform. One other note worth mentioning. It was a rainy day, there were a total of 3 cars in the detail shop with several employees standing around. There was certainly no sense of urgency and it would have taken little effort to give some extra attention to the customers that were there at the time Honestly, I hope this whole organization tanks from top to bottom. about a month ago my Cadillac died in the gas pump lane. I thought okay, maybe it's the battery. I went inside to inform them my car died and I would need to jump my battery. Apparently, Delta Sonic has a Jump Box and a "trained" employee who will Jump your car for free. EXCELLENT!!! Well TODAY 04/11/19 I am vacuuming out the car and must have pressed the lock button. Yup, keys are in the ignition and this being a used car it's the only keys. So, I try my luck again and guess what the cashier says "it happens all the time and we feel bad for the people who call a tow before asking for help." I purchased a gift card so my mom could get the "Professional Detail" done on her vehicle. This is a lengthy process so we dropped it off and they said they would call when it's done. An hour or so after they called and said it was done we went to pick it up. They were still working on it, but almost "finished". They pulled the car out and we inspected it. The running boards were still filthy and there was still dirt on the front of the vehicle. They simply waxed over the dirt. Not very well though or the dirt would have came off. They hire the dumbest, laziest, and unknowledgeable people. They suck from top to bottom as far as the detailing section. I detailed vehicles at two different dealerships and NONE would last longer than a week. I've gone there twice for my floor to be cleaned and it was sub par. You wet the floor and scrub the heck out of it. They didn't do this either time. They brag about how their process is great. HA!! My ass. Delta Sonic needs to take a class on how to KEEP customers rather than lose them. I have been an 'unlimited member' for 6 months and although my SUV always comes out with waters spots as if water is recycled and not very clean - for $19.99 I figured I'd keep the plan - but yesterday I was notified my account is being increased by $10.00 for no apparent reason and I will not pay that. I called the home office to get an explanation and was told a software program Delta Sonic uses periodically reviews accounts and 'decides' whether to charge more. Really? I asked what the criteria is for an increase and they couldn't tell me. I know it's not based on excessive for usage because I didn't even use the car wash for 8 weeks because of an injury where I couldn't drive and I did not pause the service. This means I paid for the washes and didn't get any- so why charge me more now for no valid reason? The person at the home office said it is out of their hands as the software makes the decision and they can't alter it. They also stated it is not for every customer and claimed it is just for certain accounts selected at random- so I feel singled out. This makes no sense at all. It is the OPPOSITE of good customer service and the easiest way to lose a customer - so WAY TO GO Delta Sonic in losing me as a customer! Have you ever considered the ripple effect of this decision? Apparently not because now I will not only get my car washed elsewhere - I will now also buy my gas, coffee, pizza, soda, slushies, and lottery tickets at another retailer who appreciates keeping my business rather then losing it. UPDATE 2/14/23: Delta Sonic's home office reached out to me and confirmed I was given 100% accurate information, so my negative review stands. What I stated is true. I only wish I could give them less than 1 star. The response to this review from them is misleading and false. There are many care washes in the Syracuse region with several offering unlimited packages which are annual and lock in your price. None of the funny business Delta Sonic pulls. To arbitrarily raise prices for no reason during high inflation, a pandemic AND a recession is insensitive. $44 for a car wash is INSANITY. Shop where your money and patronage is appreciated. My car is clean. The only positive today. I'm a unlimited member, was in the member line, pretty busy there. Person two cars ahead, of course in the wrong lane. The youngster with the black beard was obviously irritated to come out of the shed, walking as slow as he can with both hands in his pockets, wanders out to assist. The person in the wrong lane passed THREE SIGNS, so skippy decides to take their credit card and let them pay rather than make them go around again and get in the correct line. Some VIP service I get for being a member. 12 cars pass me while I sit going nowhere for being a member. Any management working at this location?? I'm confident in saying that i think most people have a love/hate relationship with this place. It's hectic, it's crazy, but it does a pretty good job. Get ready to fight for your spot to get a car wash, but first you have to navigate through their parking lot where cars come at you from all directions. Once you're in line, you're finally safe except for the the cars cutting from line to line to get in the shortest one. The wash from start to finish takes about about 5 minutes and does pretty good. My advice is skip the drying line and get out of the there. The employees look so unhappy working there, it's kind of funny but I do feel bad. Even though this place is kind of a mess, it's great at the same time and we keep coming. read more

We all love our local Delta Sonic. They have a great reputation with plenty of happy customers. In general people love to have a clean car. And for the most part the staff is courteous and engaging. Our only issue is the tire shine product they are currently using. Rather than applying it with a brush at the drying station it is now part of the automated process and included with super kiss Plus . The automated process slings tire shine on your wheels and it sticks like a greasy coating. Within a few miles your wheels are coated with brake dust that will not come off. I spent an hour with my detailing products trying to get my wheels clean. They were actually worse after the wash than when I drove into the wash . I will be downgrading my unlimited super kiss Plus Membership to a simple super kiss to avoid the tire products. I hope that management will consider this and find a better alternative to the current product. read more

So, as I read the comments. I am happy to know that my feelings and experience are validated with this company. The only reason most people keep going is because of the monopoly. Service is about the worse a car detailing company can have. Whenever I had the interior done, I have been asked: "What area you want the most attention on". Really... It cost about $18 for 20 minutes if that, and the work is beyond lousy. We need a good competitor to step in a provide HIGH-QUALITY work for a more reasonable price. Not long ago I took my car for the 30 minutes detailing...and after an hour one of the managers noticed the car and no one working on it. Two hours later.. lousy work for $40 dollars plus tip. The detail shop employees are good about one thing.. they sure hang around to get that tip money. read more

Delta Sonic in Fairmount New York failed to meet our expectations for professional detailing. The vehicle had water marks on the headlamps and tail lamps, smudges on the chrome that were easily rubbed off with finger, the tire dressing was uneven and dirt throughout that was easily removed. We were amazed that it was in this condition, especially for the price they charge. The positive was that the bugs were removed from the bumper. All concerns were addressed and corrected at the time. A big, new store/car wash with a food Area.. Yes, it is quite large inside. Prices seem pretty fair/ reasonable until you get to the brick oven side of the place. Their food items are much overpriced. Fair quality. Any subs you want to order have to be done by automated machine, then you have to leave the deli area, go up to the registers, wait in line and pay, then take your receipt BACK to the deli area so they then will start making your food. Not the best system they have going there. Oh, and don't even try to ask for any substitutions, on your sub unless it's on the Keosk. Won't happen. The teenagers working the casher areas seem to have a bit of attitude. Giving it 3 stars only because of the fact that the building is multi purpose for gas, car wash, Tim hortons, food, snacks and oh, they have free air machines. read more

My wife brought her nearly new car here for a wash. She has exclusively used deltasonic for years. NEVER AGAIN!!! The wash equipment left a bunch of scratches. We returned and told the customer service rep who took pictures and submitted a report to the corporate headquarters who sent us a letter telling us that they don't think they are responsible for the damage. I'm guessing that the scratches could be buffed out in less than an hour. Unfortunately for deltasonic, they have chosen to deny responsibility and will not back up their product. Having been a long time Delta Sonic Unlimited member (never having an issue), I brought my wife's car in for a Mother's Day cleaning. Her car is not an unlimited...waited for 20 minutes to get to the cashier...cashier then told me that interior clean time would be about a 20 minute wait. When I got through the car wash, they told me it was going to be a 50 minute wait. Not happy with the customer service nor attitude of the interior representative. I wonder if that's how they treat people who do not have unlimited memberships on their cars. Hope this was a fluke, but looking at some other reviews, it could be more problematic. read more

This was by far the worst experience I have had with delta sonic, I paid for the interior and exterior to be cleaned and I ended up having to do it myself because it was so terribly done. There were smudges on the windows and the inside was hardly vacuumed. Very dissatisfied. 2/10. read more
