Took my customer's boat trailer here to replace the tires. When putting the wheels back on the tandem axle trailer, they mis-threaded 6 bolts, leaving the nuts not fully tightened and the bolts ruined. They did not say anything about it. When we realized the bolts were mis-threaded, we called them so they can fix it. They said there is nothing they can do about it since they don't work on trailers. SERIOUSLY!!!! They were willing to remove the rims off of the trailer, install the tires, and put the rims back on the trailer. Now, since they ruined the bolts, they say they don't work on trailers??? They offered no assistance or compensation. We'll be calling the BBB and I highly recommend you take your business anywhere else but here. read more

I made an appointment for 2pm, got there early and my car still didn't get started on until past 3. Most of the employees behind the desk were just hanging out, joking to each other, socializing and playing on their phones. Avoid this location. In 2017-2018 I chose them to buy 4 new tires. They ended up damaging my hood. They had me work with a shop to repair it but would not provide a rental (or cover uber fare to get to shop and back) while it was being fixed and didn't offer a discount for the inconvenience. Fast forward to 2021 and I bring my car in for slow leaking tire and they can't find the leak. Pay to have valve stem replaced but didn't fix. Moved to Texas and had discount tire look at it. They found the issue right away and fixed it for free. I have nothing good to say about this place. read more

I use to be a fan until I came in to get my tire repaired. The one thing I hate is stupid mistakes. They didn't put my valve cap back on after repairing my tire. I noticed after I left and called , their response was they would give me another cap. I purchased special valve caps so they would not match my other ones. You are a tire company so take pride in your work and put the valve caps back on!! I also noticed they scratched my rims in two spots after watching them throw my tire and rim around before putting it back on my car. I get it they think I am an ignorant woman but I do take care of my car!! Only bring your car there if you have a crappy car you don't care about. Such a shame because I have been there several times but I will never go back. Charged me $287.92 for 8 spark plugs. (They retail for $9.99 each). Charged me $254.08 to install said spark plugs. DID NOT CONFIRM price prior to work. I 110% would have bought, gapped, and installed spark plugs myself if I had known it would be a $500 job, I'm 26, and mechanically inclined, I just figured we'll hell while they're putting the tires on just go ahead and swap out the plugs. JFC. FIVE. HUNDRED. DOLARS for spark plugs?!? . It's an LS2 engine, it ain't that difficult. Also now the car idles rougher than it did with old crudy plugs. AND now I don't trust them to do proper work based on that experience so now I HAVE to double check their work and verify that the spark plugs are actually properly gapped and that the connections are all right. HORRIBLE experience. Should have went with my gut instinct of just letting them put tires on and then doing the other work myself. read more

I've been here several times, but just sitting to pen my review. Two visits stand out, one being my most recent & more pleasant of the two. The first visit, about 2 years ago, yeah, yeah, yeah, but it's relevant to my most recent return. Ok, I needed brakes for my vehicle & was recommended here by a close friend, who sang the praises of this business. So I went all for it. I figured a brake job, six one way half-dozen the other, can't be all that bad. BUTTTTTT this wasn't the case; I was quoted $1,000 plus for a brake job. Now the reason I ran like a banshee was that this quote was given by "Skip" & his work buddy, WITHOUT AN INSPECTION (crickets, yeah, let that sink it). I politely took the quote & busted a move... Let the moments roll on 2 years on and we're at APRIL 2015... Ok, a minor fender bender landed my vehicle at the Collision Center & thennnnnnnnnnnnnn I'm told, "you need a tire"; ugh here we go. I know their 'go to tire' business is dum-dum-dum DELTA WORLD!!!!! Ok, so, I'll go for it. I must admit, though skeptical, I obliged the Collision Center Rep & opted to get the tire from DELTA WORLD. Bryan Henning, was business orientated, friendly & responsive to ally my needs. Ok "Skip" & his bud have been redeemed by Mr. Bryan Henning. I'm not about to have a Kum-bah-yah moment, but I no longer give the side-eye to DELTA WORLD as I pass. I am especially excited about this 'revived relationship' as Bae, my car, seems to run through shoes (tires) more often than not. I did bring my car back, I did explain my problem and after being told it was fixed and demonstrating to the mechanic it wasn't before I leave the lot, the response was "oh, well you actually need new parts we never mentioned until now" This is the second location that has provided poor service, thankfully the first was only ignoring me while I waited to have tire work done. Looks like I dodged a bullet by not having one of your employees put a wrench on my car the first time. Sending a auto response to disgruntled customers doesn't solve your underlying problem LIKE HAVING A MECHANIC THAT DOESN'T KNOW LEFT FROM RIGHT. To all future customers, if you have to have work done here make sure you demand you old parts back. I bought a set of tires in March of 2020. I had to return recently due to a road hazard issue. The opinion of the gentleman I spoke to was that it was a blemish since the tire still held air. But it is more than a blemish, there is a contusion in the tread that continues to the outer wall of the tire creating an opening and cracks in the sidewall. My concern is that this issue will continue to worsen resulting in and eventually compromise the integrity of the tire core resulting in a complete failure of the tire. I am a fan of Michelin and this is my first experience with Delta World Tire, my concerns are not being taken seriously. read more

Well, at the time I was impressed by their work, but afterwards I learned they made a serious rookie mistake. My car has wheel locks. It's a round bolt with a little pattern in the end. You get a special "key" that works like a standard bolt, but because it's not a regular bolt, you're not supposed to torque it so hard. It doesn't have the strength to be torqued even to regular spec. Not only did they attach my wheel lock with an impact gun, they cross threaded it and made it impossible to remove. After using a 3-foot breaker bar and stripping the pattern off the thread, we started drilling. After the fourth drill bit broke we used a huge ez-out, only to have that snap in half too. We ended up having to take the entire hub off to drill the bolt out from behind, just to be able to access the brakes. In short it cost me $700 to fix what they broke. I don't think they were trying to cheat me, and I don't think it was anything but a rookie mistake, but they didn't respond to notes I sent them detailing my problem and damaged the car pretty badly, so I still have to give this place a strong "avoid". read more

THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS!! Went here due to a flat tire, so I drove there on a spare. I paid $110 for a new tire, just to find out they could not put it on. They claimed that the lugs were too tight on my spare and it would break if they tried to take it off. Which is fair, but that was not the case. I asked how much it would be if it happened to break, and he estimated $500 more dollars. So I told them I would just drive my car back to my house because I was not paying for a tow truck. The guy at the front made rude comments about my decision to drive it home. I was not paying $200 for a tow truck to tow my car 5 minutes away. So I took my car, turns out that the guy loosened the bolts on my tire and did not attempt to tighten them back up... KNOWING I was about to drive on the spare. Also, if the lug nuts were stuck on, how were they loosened before me leaving?? THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY! I also paid the full amount that included a tire installation that never happened. I drove home, called my dad for him to drive an hour to my house, and my dad easily got the bolts off my tire with a lug wrench in less than 3 minutes, and then he put my new tire on for me. I was without a car for 5 days before my dad could come help me, and drove dangerously home because these guys could not simply take my spare tire off. I also felt really uncomfortable with the way the guy at the front desk was talking to me and making me feel like I knew nothing about cars, which I do because my dad builds race cars, because I am a woman And I was by myself. Trust me, I face a lot of toxic masculinity in my life because of being a woman, and this place was definitely filled with it. I would not recommend this shop AT ALL! Edit: I just read the reviews for this place and it is sad how many mentioned getting mistreated because they are a woman, which is exactly how I felt. Places like this are why I let my dad do the majority of repairs for vehicles. Walked in, said I needed a patch because I had a screw in the tread of my tire. Guy pulls my car in, there's no way he had time to take the tire off before he came in and told me the screw had punctured my side wall which I knew for a fact that it had not because the screw was in between tread. Advised that I needed a new tire which they had in stock for $100 a piece. I can't stand places like this. Just because I'm a women doesn't mean I'm ignorant. I do appreciate that they offered to put my spare on for me however... my dad didn't let his baby leave home with educating her with a little common sense. I went in to get my brakes done as well as get the front two tires replaced and check the alignment. After I dropped off my car, I got a call telling me that it would cost about $300 to align my wheels. I told the guy no to the alignment. When I showed up to pay for the tires and brakes, the guy charged me for the alignment. When I questioned it, he said that I authorized the additional work which was not true. I've had two tires patched here in the last 6 months (driving in Nola is a hazardous endeavor) and one oil change and I really like these guys. They do a good job and are always friendly. Since I've only gotten relatively cheap services, I can't comment on most of their prices in comparison to other shops in town, but the oil change and patch together was comparable in price to just an oil change at a 5 minute place. Even more impressive, the first tire I had patched was right after Hurricane Isaac and they not only patched it on generator power, but took down my information on paper and actually entered it into the computer. This meant that the second time I went to the shop, they already had all my info--which was awesome. I had to take off one star because the last time I was there I felt like the only reason it took a while was because I had a piddley piddler mechanic--taking his sweet time strolling all over the shop and chit chatting with his mechanic buddies. I could see all this and he could see me watching...and didn't care or pick up the pace. Other than Piddles, I have no reason not to come back. read more

The fact that Kevin Townsend can have a job gives me hope for all of the jobless individuals in the world because I truly believe that anyone on the planet would be a better fit for his position. I know this because I myself could do a better job and even had to do so when Kevin could not find me in the system because he couldn't think of a way to look me up other than phone number. Thank god my big brain could conceive of the concept of searching by last name so that he could actually find me, but don't worry it wasn't until after he made a scene about how it wasn't possible. For someone whose only job is working customer service at a desk I can't help but wonder how he, along as every other desk worker there, is so horrible at their only job. Not sure if it was special treatment I received for being a woman but the eye rolls, scoffs, condescension, and irritability did not add up to an even manageable experience. So much so that I arranged another ride so I could pick up and drive my broken car to another mechanic shop. Not to mention that this was me bringing back my car after they failed to fix it from their previous $2,100 of work. Important to note also that this was after me turning my car back on for the first time post arriving home and they are now claiming it is a different issue. (Well.. the same issue on a different coil which could only happen after miles and miles of driving, which did not happen. The mechanic I had to pay to check their work even said it is possible that they replaced the completely wrong one...) While I hate feeling like I was scammed out of $2,100, it almost felt worth not getting my money back just so I could have the luxury of talking to anyone else somewhere else about my car issues. Went to Delta World Tire to buy two new tires for my 2015 Mercedes GL450. Later that day they called me and told me my battery was dead, so I told them to replace the battery. The battery is under the passenger seat. About three days later I noticed that the plastic cover and the piece of carpet that covers the battery was not in place. It was just sitting on top of the battery compartment. So I tried to snap it back in with no success. So I went back first thing in the morning and told then the problem. Hoping they could fix it while I wait. They said I would have to leave the car. That afternoon they call me to pick up the car. I looked at it and the same thing. Carpet was sitting on top of the cover and the cover was just sitting on top of the battery compartment. I went back in, told them the problem and they said that I should not have pulled out the carpet when I tried to snapped the cover back in place. I told them I did not touch the carpet and it is worse now then when I first picked it up. They gave me an oh well attitude. So I left. Went on Youtube found how to change the battery on the GL450. And with that information it took me FIVE MINUTES to put the carpet back and snap the cover back in place. They had my car all day and made the problem worse. I won't be back. read more

Worst tire place ever, do NOT go there. First they installed a less expensive tire then the one I paid for. Then they did not return my tire lock, luckily I did not get stranded on the intestate with a flat. Cause I would not have been able to unlock the tires. Then after I notice the difference in tires, they over inflated my tires. They're suppose to be at 32, they were at 60. I could've seriously been hurt with a blow out! Then it was a huge hassle to have them replace my tire locks. The staff is not knowledgeable and rude. Everything took so much of my effort to correct. I had to go back multiple times. I don't know how I feel about this place. This is the only shop where I get my tires from, but when I had a mechanical problem I made a mistake by going to them. They not only did not fix an issue with the car, but also broke a part on the car. I rarely write reviews, but I just had to this time. I spent over 500 dollars on fixing the issue and it was still not fix. I give them props on trying, but you are a mechanic even if you weren't able to fix the issue at least compensate me so I can go elsewhere to fix the problem. Also, the guys there do not know how to easily break down information for someone with no mechanical background to understand. I do not recommend this place for any mechanical problems no....NEVER....go there for an issue. I wish there were more honest places out there who can admit if they can't fix the problem just straight up tell us, so we can bring it elsewhere. Just to let you all know I have trusted this place for a few years. Now I am so sorry I did. I have sent many people there. I will tell them what happened. I went in for a nail in my tire. They said it was in the side wall and I would have to purchase a tire. It was almost 400.00 dollars. I did not go far it. I went to pep boys after and the man took the nail out it wasn't a nail after all it was a tiny screw that wasn't even long enough to puncture the tire. So they lied to me and I won't be back. I went here this past Saturday for the second time because one of my tires kept going low. They were able to patch the tire and I was on my way. Both times here they have been able to fix the tire, after other places told me the tires needed replaced! They are always friendly, and don't try to take advantage by telling me tires that can be fixed should be replaced. I appreciate this so much! Especially since I'm going in there without my husband, many car places would try to get as much money as they could from a female, but not here! This is the only place I will go now for tire issues. Needed 4 tires and an alignment for my car. I got a price on tires from Sam's club but they didn't have any in stock. I went to Delta Tire on Williams Blvd and they matched the price I got at Sam's club no problem. They also gave me half off on the four-wheel alignment. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. They used a laser to do the alignment and it didn't take long at all. I will be returning for future tire purchases and alignments. 5 stars read more

FROM GOOD TO VERY,VERY BAD-Ripoffs now!!!!! I was a customer here for over 15 years with never a problem. 6 months ago I brought a van in for tires and was called with a list of other problems they "found". I promised to bring it back the next day and drove straight to my mechanic (over 50 yrs. in business) who inspected it and said "I'll do this work if you want but NONE of it is necessary". Like a fool I went back again yesterday for 2 front tires and got a call saying "you have little or no brake pads left so we need to do a brake job.In fact,you have less than 3mm". I told them NO WAY cause I had my same mechanic put new pads on 3500 miles ago.I took it straight to my guy and he pulled the tires and showed me that the pads still look BRAND NEW. They even had the nerve to put the "needs new brakes-only 3mm left" in writing! So,beware. You will get a call for additional work you most likely don't need. I'm done with these guys.
