I had no idea what I was doing day 1 but my practice grows with each class. The instructors are kind, funny, energetic, and skilled at teaching and cueing the moves so everyone is doing them correctly and safely. Not only that but the community always brings the same energy and makes the studio a safe and fun place to work out. The classes have enough repetition to build strength and form but enough differences to keep you on your toes (sometimes literally). I haven't run into any of the issues that some of the negative reviews here have, so I can't speak to my experience trying to freeze my membership or anything like that. I also have not tried classical pilates to compare. But personally, I feel like I get my money's worth every time and even with my busy schedule it is never a challenge to book classes.

I have been taking Agnes classes for 2 years ( took a break while pregnant ) and started back up a month post partum. In the beginner class, you can take it easy as you need if you're starting out and gradually add more to challenging yourself. She changes up her flow and class every week, so you are consistently working different areas of the body. I took yoga classes at random and used to feel it a slow boring waste of time more or less a relaxing class that does "stretching". I love to lift and do intense endurance cardio. It wasn't until going here consistently that I was blown away with the fitness aspect of yoga- the strength/flexibility/core stability/etc. involved. You will be challenged more than you possibly think and I promise the health benefits, both mentally and physically, will surprise you! I highly recommend Melt and the classes here. The instructor Taylor L did a great job and asked me about my injuries prior to class. She had excellent accommodations and remember what I told her prior to class. As a former fitness instructor(and someone who used to hire them) she is an excellent instructor. Her explanations were clear, the class flowed well, and she provided multiple options. I also liked the number of participants in the class. Sometimes it feels so crowded but I feel this studio has the right number of participants. If I lived closer I would buy a membership here. I attribute this to the owner, Molly. She has created a loving atmosphere that attracts the like. There are several types of classes to choose from. The instructors make sure you are in the correct position and using a mind/body connection. I have gained an amazing amount of strength & flexibility. If you are intimidated, don't be. There are women in there 20's all the way to 70's. The clients encourage one another and create friendships. The instructors encourage modifications when necessary and show you what to do to modify. They are very friendly and helpful. I'm on an unlimited plan and unfortunately life happens and I have to call in every now and then to cancel last minute classes due to my children and their summer activities. They are extremely accommodating as long as you give them a call and let them know. That is a huge factor for me to continue club Pilates. I hope to be here and incorporate club Pilates for life. My favorites are both on Sunday mornings so I like to alternate them! Nancy is the owner & teacher of Bhakti yoga on Sundays at 9:30a. She's a beautiful personality who reminds us to think gratitude as we strengthen & stretch. Bonnie teaches Pilates reformer at 8:30a and her class always makes me sore!
