Experienced Blue Blade last night. Wow! That was intense and exhilarating! The price is worth admission due to the production value that just heightens throughout the show. I don't want to say anything else cause I think you should go in blind not knowing what to expect. Here are some tips though. 1. Prepare to hustle- wear clothes/shoes that you can move in and don't mind getting a little dirty. 2. Bond with your group-you are going to go through some stuff together. 3. Say yes to the adventure- if there is a task to do, volunteer! It will make your experience much better. Also, make sure you aren't the person doing everything. Spread out the tasks among your group(if you can) so everyone gets a chance to help. 4. Leave your phone, purse, or special belongings in your car trunk. They have an area, but it just makes the check-in process smoother. 5. Prepare to scream and have a blast! 6. Stay after for awesome board games and live music! read more

My review is similar to Todd F's. We went last year and it was incredible. We were blown away by everything. This year was meh. I didn't get the cult theme either and the monsters were more silly than scary. Plus at the end, you get dumped into the gift area so they can sell you stuff. I emailed them to express my disappointment, hoping we'd get a partial refund. Tix aren't cheap and it def wasn't worth the $124 a person. All I got was a "sorry it didn't meet your expectations. Two things for sure : wear COMFORTABLE Shoes & if going during the mask mandate time & you wear glasses: wear CONTACTS if possible. As someone who's not a Halloween fan, I went for a friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised. There was an option of having the actors nor touch you if you prefer as well. The actors did very well in staying in character. My criticism comes with the lighting and this maybe can't be helped because of the location- someone in our party did bump their head because they didn't know to duck down on a certain part. Also if you have problems with fog machine ( like it makes you Ill) or if strobe lights bother/ trigger you then this may not be the show for you. read more

It's at a Baptist church a block away from busy, slightly alternate life style chic of Sunset Boulevard. The church is dark, and there is very little to show what is housed inside this rather austere, solemn-looking, unawe-inspiring, plain jane kirk. Inside lies a realm of make-believe that is loosely based on the Bubonic Plagues that ravaged all of Europe & parts of Asia during the 14th century. The plague causing vector is the rat, but the actual host, that is carrying the disease causing bacteria, Yersinia pestis, is the tiny little rat flea. There are 3 forms of the plague: 1)Bubonic is the least virulent where the lymph nodes become swollen buboes. 2) Pneumonic plague is centered in the lungs where death occurs in 4 days, and is spread by sneezing or coughing out droplets. 3) Septicemic plague occurs in the blood and can cause rapid deterioration & death in about a day. So the mysterious DOCTORS dressed as a characters in Commedia dell' Arte of the 16th century or one of the figures in Hieronymous Bosch's "Jardin de las Delicias" are supposedly the protectors from the new Plague, leading to a "greater life, free from the oppression of god & human limitations." But actually, they seem to be the malevolent, vile, vicious creators of the plague & a new reign of terror while most the characters in the church are merely trying to survive trapped from going outside by the rampaging Plague and trapped inside by the tyranny of the Doctors & their minions. Only a few of the characters inside the church can see beyond the terror & try to find some way to escape as well as helping us to survive & escape the cruel insanity within. This horror theatre is a well organized & smooth functioning operation from tickets at will call all the way to the actors who lead you & push you through to the next venue almost like Australian Sheepdogs, rounding you up & nipping at your heels if you dilly-dally. The horror is mostly psychological with very little grabbing at you in the dark, or suddenly shrieking to startle. Beware that there are many darkly lit stairs & corridors where you will have to pass through relatively quickly. You will be asked to do some things that are actually fun & innocuous, but add to the interactiveness & drama of the story line. Compared to the Blum House of Horrors at the Variety Theater in downtown Los Angeles, I felt the staging of the theater and the actors in Blum House were a bit more smooth & polished, but there was no interactivity between the audience & the actors. The audience passively witnessed the events as they occurred. In Delusion, the strength of the performance was that the audience was asked to play minor roles that required a touch of improvisation & thought which made us more focused & feel we were part of the Delusion universe. Delusion: Mask of Mortality is certainly not inexpensive, but with the number of actors employed, and limiting the number of members of the audience to about 10 made for a more personal experience & made the experience worthwhile. Great way to spend an hour connecting with your creepy side. Bravo, Bravissimo!!! read more

First time we've been able to experience Delusion and let me tell you, it was fantastic!!!! Totally worth the money. I am so looking forward to a new storyline next Halloween season! So let me start by saying the actors were incredible!!!! I can understand why it's so pricey. The talent is really great. It's truly an experience that makes you feel like your involved in a movie like experience. If you choose to do this, don't wear super nice clothing/shoes. You may get a little dirty as sometimes you might be going through dirt or laying on the ground but that's the worst it gets as far as you getting dirty. They don't make you do crazy things like electric shock or make you have a safe word, it's very much like a dinner theatre but YOU/your group that your with are involved in. It's about an hour experience but trust me, it doesn't feel that long. It goes by so fast because your having so much fun the entire time. They really did an unbelievable job with props and building the experience which includes the buildings themselves. You can really tell how much work and effort the people put into the details. My hat truly goes off to these hard working people!!!! Thank you for such a great time! Can't wait to do it again! My other suggestions are do not bring anyone under the age of 21 as this is an adult type of experience, again, it's like being in a rated R movie, so there could be adult language used and certain scenarios that would not be appropriate for younger people. But again, I can't stress enough how much fun it was!!!! They won't make you extreme things. It's NOT one of those places like the 17th door or anything like that. Without giving anything away, it's like being part of a good horror movie. Seriously, I wish it was longer. My Wife and I realized it was about an hour experience but it felt like 15 to 20 minutes because it's so intense and fun! I can't say enough awesome things about this place. Went to Delusion: Lies Within in early October and it did not disappoint! As usual, there's an interesting storyline and all the actors stayed in character the entire time. My fiance and I noticed how it becomes more and more interactive each year. I'm glad we bought our tickets early and managed to get the 7pm slot on a weekend. The only complaint I have this year is that it felt unsafe to walk up and down the steps at times. I noticed they tried to tape the edges of each step to make it easier to walk, but there were times when the stairways were close to pitch black and none of us could see. It ended up taking the entire group forever to navigate down the stairs, and it took away the urgency and feeling of having to "run away" from the characters that are coming after you. As with the last couple years, the ticket prices are kind of high. But the entire staff seemed very dedicated to this production, so I get why it needs to cost this much. Compared to all the other haunts out there, this is well worth the price! read more

I love the concept of Delusion and also everything was executed quite well, considering how challenging it is to service private parties. The actors were fantastic for the most part. That said, the script was a bit disappointing. I've been really excited to try this out ever since my husband's cousin and cousin in law told us about it. They've been coming every year since it first started and have watched it evolve from the beginning. This year, it was more of a sci-fi adventure. It wasn't the theme of 'time-travel' that was an issue but the dialogue went on too long at times and the plot was a bit confusing overall. There were moments I felt myself tuning out because the actor would just ramble on about something. It was a lot less interactive than I expected. There was too much talking, and not enough things happening. Also there was one point we were shuffled from one room to another, and then back to the same room, and then back to the previous room again. It started feeling a little tedious. I heard that they had more stunts previous years and I definitely would have loved that. That said, I still would love to come back next year to see what kind of new storyline they come up with. read more

I've been to Delusion five times now. I'm a huge Halloween fan and it's my favorite event of the season. It is well worth the money. I describe it as an interactive play that's part escape room and part haunted house. There's nothing that even compares quality wise and the actors are always top notch. Best event of my year. And if you're wondering there's no torture elements here like some Halloween events. You won't be shot with paint balls or forced so shower and eat bugs. You will crawl, run, hide, and use your brain. read more

We went to Delusion last night, this was my first time experiencing anything like this. I cant compare it to anything they have done in previous years but I think it was really well done and super fun. There were a few moments where I thought to myself, "what did I get myself into?". Our group has done some of the best haunt experiences and escape rooms LA has to offer and I can say Delusion is up there with the top of them. If not, the very top. The things I saw and experienced will forever be burned into my memory. Unforgettable experience. I even had to save my wife after she got separated from our group lol! If you want some context of what the theme was I would say it was a mix of Charles Manson cult of the 60s meets resident evil biohazard. Great job guys! Ill be back every year! Had high hopes since I loved the experience last year and this was kicking off my Halloween haunted house visit season this year. For the high cost I was expecting more. First off they were running way behind the ticketed times yesterday evening. So we had to wait well over an hour over our ticketed time. I paid for the VIP, but totally not worth it since it was just a room with some chairs and a paid bar. They even shut the room down while we were there waiting and made us leave to the main house/non vip area. In the end we didn't even get a chance to do the VIP activity, which didn't seem that exciting anyway. The actual attraction was more of a nice show. The actors were definitely talented, but I was expecting a show plus some screams. I didn't scream once so totally not scary. The magician and mime that entertained us during the long wait were the best parts of the evening. read more

I go to a few haunts every year and over time have been to many. I was so excited about going to this one because I had read so many good things. I was ready to tick this one off my list. In a previous year, my partner had attended one of their productions (i think it was blue blade, he doesn't remember) with his company and he couldn't stop talking about it. This hyped it up for me even more. The price (2 tickets for a total of $218.64) was way more than I would ever pay for a haunt, but there were so many good things said! We attended the event on 09/17/21 and had an 11pm check in. We were driving from west LA, so it was at least an hour drive and arrived at 10:45pm. As we checked in, they explained they were 1 hour and 15minutes behind... my partner asked why that was and they explained that 30 minutes of wait time was already worked into the experience so that you had time to look around the grounds and the rest of the time was attributed to experiencing technical difficulties. They then explained we would receive a text when we could be taken in. The grounds: had a food stand. The mansion: had one room for merch and drinks, one room that looked like a study with one seat, one waiting room with two pianos, a cabinet of trinkets, and some places to sit. There wasn't much to see as a non-VIP, so this was unnecessary. At most, it takes 5min. This extra time is probably more beneficial for the VIP people since they get to explore the upstairs. I suspect this buffer exists in case they run over, but I don't think it's effective. My suggestion would be to space out the groups by 30min rather than 15min. I don't mind waiting 15min upon arrival, but 30min is too long. We had a lot of time to kill, so we went to the in-n-out down the street, ate the whole meal comfortably, came back at 12am, and waited in the car since it was chilly. It would've been great if they had offered a discount for the food/beverage available at the food stand on the grounds to makeup for the long wait time. As we were walking back we overheard, "10:30pm, anyone from the 10:30pm group?" ...Oh no. We came across an employee and she explained that they were still behind and that they would try and get us in as soon as possible. eventually, we got in at 12:50am. It turns out they combined the 11pm and 11:15pm groups so that there were a total of 12 people in the group. That was almost a 2 hour wait. Needless to say, everyone was deflated. As we were waiting for the start of the experience, we overheard other people in our group say how they were tired and just didn't feel excited anymore. Same, girl. So we went through the play. The story was fine. The props and house looked great! The actors did a great job leading us through the house used for the haunt. I wish they had utilized more actors for some extra scares because there were definitely enough scary nooks and spaces to hide and scare others. I, and others in there group, were definitely overthinking it and expecting people to pop up in strange corners. I appreciate how they tried to get everyone to do a task and it was definitely creepy when they separated us. When it came to the ending, we were unsure whether it had actually ended. We kept expecting more frights where there just weren't any as we were walking out. We walked back to the front house and someone mentioned free posters for the extra time we waited. We went to collect the posters and everyone picked one up until I went up. It turns out it was only for VIP. Really? You couldn't spare a couple of posters after we had all waited 2 hours and spent at least $100 on each ticket? I thought that was in poor taste. We also consistently noticed with at least 3 groups that had just come out of the experience that they were very quiet which we found odd, but we felt the same when we left. Overall, I would not recommend this event this year. I hope they figure out their wait time issue and I'm sure it was great in years past, but unfortunately, I would not consider going back after what we experienced at this price point. read more

I found the storyline to be a bit convoluted and odd though; it was supposed to be about a cult and deprogramming, but it seemed to be more about possessed people and monsters. I'm adding a video, listen to the very end. This is just when the experience started. You can hear the "general manager" say "hey put your phone away, NOW!". This was how they treated us the entire time. They didn't like it if you laughed, if you joked around w your friends or basically anything. They want u to be so serious. It's not even scary! I was never given rules or told I couldn't video tape, but I apologized. Still they were jerks. They also made me chug "their words" a drink I just bought before entering. But the manager yelled at my friends and I, things were said in such a horrible and derogatory manner. I felt like we were in prison, that's how we were treated. I felt like I was walking on egg shells. 2 of my 55 year old friends got kicked out bc one of them was laughing and since they were brothers and she didn't know which one it was, she kicked both of them out and embarrassed them in front of everyone. We drove 2 hours to get here, my gf wanted to come. We were rushed into the bar area, we ordered drinks, the bartender pushed doubles. We were a group of 6. The rest of the experience wasn't the same anymore they ruined it for us. This said manager's/ security guards name is Sati Thyme (not sure if it's real) She needs to go apply for security at border control bc she's treating everyone like criminals. We paid $140 each to come and see this, our drove 2 hours. For this? What a joke! when we asked to speak to a manager bc we wanted to complain, turns out the lady yelling at us the entire time was a manager. I was busy at work and didn't realize that the Delusion tickets had gone on sale for the 2016 show for a few days, and by the time I checked I was bummed to learn that pretty much every show had already sold out. Luckily, I received an email a few days later that they had added a few shows due to the high demand, and I managed to snag us tickets for those! Loved Delusion 2021. Unfortunately, this year they canceled due to "severe" weather conditions... I saw that there was some drizzling rain. Should there not be a contingency plan for an event planned at the end of the year when it can likely rain? Maybe have alternate routes, or something? Poor planning, but even WORSE customer service. Can't a hold of anybody. Have received no follow-up regarding the cancelation and at this point concerned whether we'll even get our money back. I was planning on making Delusion an annual tradition, but now I'm not confident that they can deliver. Will have to look somewhere else for Halloween entertainment. DELUSION was my first immersive horror experience, and I don't think I can even put into words how incredible it was. Without spoiling too much, the location was perfect for this. The storyline that went along with it was *chef's kiss*. The actors acted the house DOWN. There were even special effects that I don't think anyone was expecting based on our group's reactions. We're counting the days until it opens again because it was THAT good. Delusion will be an every-year thing for us moving forward for Halloween. If you're reading this and have a chance to go, DO IT! Would recommend trying to get a big group to go with you. You enter in groups of 11. Probably not the place to go if you don't like to be touched or close to other people. Open world took about 15 minutes to look around. Food and drink also available. One criticism is that the ending could have been more obvious. Maybe just a statement or 2 from the actor that led us out. At the end we walked out and wondered if it was over. Still we all enjoyed it and are still talking about it days later! read more

I attended Delusion's Crimson Queen event two years ago and was obsessed with it for DAYS. I told absolutely every one of my friends and family about it. I could not stop talking about it. So, when I saw the tickets go on sale July of this year, I knew I had to experience Delusion 2018. But, unfortunately, I could not have been more disappointed. Crimson Queen was an engaging story filled with escape rooms, puzzles, scares, thrills, and more. It was the definition of an INTERACTIVE HORROR play. This year was quite a disappointment to say the least. The actors did great job considering the circumstance...but the story itself was extremely confusing, the play wasn't the least bit interactive, there were zero scares, and the ending was the biggest let down of the century. The entire time as we wandered through the play, I kept waiting for it to get better.. but it never did. We (the "audience") were rarely involved in the play and considering the fact that Delusion markets itself an interactive play, I was equally surprised as I was disappointed. The actors seemed to just be reciting lines to us with an occasional open ended question, rather than involving us in the play. I've seen some responses on Yelp! stating that this year's play is a trial to see whether or not Delusion can succeed year round without the horror element. If this is the case, I couldn't be more disappointed. Being an interactive horror play with escape room elements is what made Delusion so incredible and unique. If this is what can be expected in the coming years, I'm sad to say this year will be my last time purchasing a ticket. What an absolute bummer. I waited two years for this event to happen and I wish my last Delusion could have been more memorable. read more

If you have attended Delusion before, you will be absolutely mind blown by the production level of this new chapter. The budget for this year's The Blue Blade can be seen in everything from the set design, to the stunts, to the special effects, etc etc. There is nothing out in LA right now that matches the quality of this 2018 show; and trust me, I've been to allllll of them. Deeper review incoming, but I wanted to give them the 5 stars they deserve. -- ~ There is an outdoor bar while you wait (additional cost). I personally encourage you to mingle, so you can be friendly with your group of 8. ~ There is phone storage, so you do not need to leave your phone in the car. ~ There are a few sharp edges, surprise bumps, and just generally things a clumsy person would run into in a dimly lit room. Its true that there is nothing like this in the LA are and it is truly a spectacular event. If you have any doubts about going, just do it. Here are a few things that prevented me from giving this a 5 star review. -Parking is absolutely terrible. The area in which this event is held is not the best. Therefore, I felt the parking situation was a little unsafe. There is all residential parking and make sure you read all parking signs to avoid a ticket or being towed. -I was left a little confused at the end of our adventure. I wish it didn't end so abruptly and things were explained a little better. The amount of effort put into this and the production, acting etc. is remarkable. You truly feel a part of the play! I, like others, attended His Crimson Queen two years ago and became hooked on immersive horror theater and a fan of Delusion. I loved the production quality, storyline, and acting of HCQ and waited patiently for two years to return to Delusion's next incarnation. I did know beforehand that this year's production was not going to be horror-themed, per se, but rather a "mix of Indiana Jones and Time Bandits". Hell, sounds great to me. Unfortunately, this version felt a lot less polished and cohesive. It felt like it was done by a company that was trying to copy what Delusion is (was?) but didn't quite make it. It seemed to me there were a lot less cast in Blue Blade than were in HCQ; in HCQ there seemed to be actors crawling all over the place which added to the scare factor. If I hadn't experienced the other Delusion, I probably would've given this 5 stars. But since I have, this one is a 3 star for me. read more

When we arrived i was seriously freaking out , i go to this places because i know my husband likes all this scary stuff and im always behind him . Once everything started they take you to a basement and then the story starts . We were very happy when we left and we thought it was great we were in a group of 6 counting us , they make you interact and to the point where they make it seem so real , the way the house was decorated , the smell in each room ,the blood , dead people absolutely everything, time went so fast , and now we will be going to Delusion every year, now i understand why they sell out so fast . I love interactive theater but had never attended Delusion in the past due to an intense hatred of jump scares. However, I have friends that have gone in previous years and absolutely loved the show, so I decided that this would be the year I womaned up and bought a ticket. Overall I enjoyed the experience. It was fun, but in a cheesy sort of way. Not terribly frightening, which was fine for me, but from what I'm told a departure from some of their previous, more terrifying seasons. My group went opening weekend and there were a few technical issues: we didn't enter the house until almost an hour after our designated start time, and one of the room effects didn't work properly. Also, they require you to valet park, but when we drove up we couldn't find the lot (we had approached from the opposite side of the house). They really needed to pop some signs up around the perimeter so people know exactly where to go. In terms of the show itself I thought they did an amazing job decorating the house; those sets were fab, and I loved running around them! I wasn't really a fan of the use of animation in certain scenes--it looked very amateurish, not up to par with the quality of the rest of the experience. And, as others have said, the special effects were very telegraphed, with visible wires and the like. Some of the actors were great, others needed to project a bit more; I know they were going for the creepy vampire vibe, but the audience needs to be able to hear your lines over the music! My friends that have gone to previous Delusions indicated that in past shows audience members could volunteer to perform activities, but that wasn't the case this year as the actors made the majority of the decisions as to who went where. There were a few tight spaces that you might not have control over encountering, so claustrophobics be warned. Nothing too terrifying or unnerving, though, so if you don't have an intense phobia of anything you'll be fine. Despite some hiccups I really enjoyed the show. I look forward to seeing what they do next year! read more

I did the Crimson Queen a couple years ago and it was AMAZING. I was really impressed with the amount of detail put into the experience, the set, the storyline. That said, I bought my tickets stat when I heard Delusion was returning this year. I just did The Blue Blade and I have to say I was very underwhelmed. The elaborateness was nowhere near what I had previously experienced. Not sure if its bc this was the opening week but there was no sliding, no crawling, no kidnapping, barely any puzzles and a lot of the time we were in very dark areas with lots of fog and being shuffled upstairs and downstairs. There were a couple "ooooo" moments but not enough to justify a $95 for 1 hour experience. The storyline was also not very clear. Sigh. Maybe next year will be better. read more

This was my 3rd Delusion experience. "Lies Within" was my favorite and "His Crimson Queen" was fun but not really my cup of tea. Leaving this years edition, "The Blue Blade", as my second favorite. As usual, the actors were fantastic. I enjoy their ability to stay on script and improvise to assist groups that are moving thru the experience slowly or losing focus on the task at hand. The story line was great; a bit more complex than in previous years. As other reviewers have mentioned, there aren't too many scare moments. If this is your sole purpose for attending you might leave a little disappointed. But if you are looking for a unique, interactive experience you will walk away happy. A couple tips to help enhance your experience: -Take a Lyft/Uber. Parking is limited. -Wear clothing you don't mind get a little soiled. -Check your jacket/sweater/"jumper" at the entrance. It gets a little warm inside. -Be prepared to get close to the people attending this experience with you. I got uncomfortably too close to my sister-in-law and anticipate family time will be awkward for a while. -There is a full bar on-site (visited after the aforementioned sister-in-law incident). -Upon exiting the experience, you will return to the check-in/bar area. Valley of Hollows: Disappointed yet again. And it was an expensive disappointment. $125 a ticket but left feeling "hollow". SPOLER ALERT! If you are going to this event, you may not want to read further. If you are Jon Braver or any of the writers, please read on. Before the adventure begins, you hang out in a living room with music, lasers and TV all going at the same time. We had a fun interaction with a cast member who was "tripping" and eating from a bag of cereal. She saw us on our phones and asked what the little box was. We told her we were time travelers and explained with the little boxes did. I took a selfie with her and showed it to her and she flipped out. Next we were led into a dining room area with plates of dirt on the table and an actor explained that she was a deprogrammer and had infiltrated the cult over the last 3 years. She told us we were all now deprogrammers. We watched a film about a young girl and her brother that had been in the cult. Unclear if they both escaped or only she did but now she was back to find her brother. We encounter Shane, the girl who is much older now, and is back to rescue her brother - she talks about the barn and the farmer that is spreading some weird kind of fertilizer. We go to the barn and see a demo of the fertilizer poured on a dead body and it briefly animates. We have to escape the barn and go back to the house, going room to room trying to find Nathan. It's very dark and VERY HOT. We find a pregnant girl who says she can help us - we have to play a cassette tape that Shane gave us that will help us find Nathan. We end up bumping into Esther Phillips (the cult leader) for a brief 10 seconds, then we end up electrocuting the pregnant girls husband but she claims the baby is Nathan's. We move through numerous rooms dodging creatures along the way (very confusing as I thought we were visiting a cult to deprogram members so why is a Demogorgon type creature chasing us?) Eventually we end up in the back of a small box truck and along the drive, we hear Nathan sort of summing up his life a year later after being rescued (guess we time traveled a year?) The ending was so abrupt and left us with so many questions? What happened to Nathan's baby? Did the cult get dismantled? How did Esther Phillips start the cult and what is her tie into knowing what to put in fertilizer to make dead bodies reanimate? Was Mr. Phillips some fertilizer tycoon? Jon Braver needs to wrap us these loose ends. If we are brought in as deprogrammers, then we should have had more interaction with the actors but we were instructed not to speak unless spoken to. The actors were really good and very into their characters - overall it just felt like the mission was to run through this dark, dusty house and find Nathan. Jon really hyped up the event at Midsummer Scream, but I don't think I'll invest in future productions especially if they are 60+ miles away on top of the expensive ticket price. read more

This is our second year trying Delusions and we were honestly not that impressed. Two years ago we were kept on our toes, mostly engaged in the story, and most importantly felt like we had actual interactions with the actors. This year none of that happened. The story is a muddled mess, the actors spoke at you rather than interact with you, and in general it felt like more of a railroad effect. I don't want to knock the staff, they all played their parts very well, it just never felt like we were part of the actual story. The ending to the plot line was extremely weak and flat as well. I was also disappointed in the lack of a horror element. It's been horror themed every time in the past, and it's Halloween. Based on the story this could have opened anytime of the year and been fine. The description of the story should have been more clear, with how early you have to buy tickets it's not possible to wait on the reviews to find out it's a sci-fi adventure this time. Overall, if you are still looking at tickets I'd recommend skipping this year. I was expecting much more after a years hiatus. read more

Before entering the church I was sooooooooooooooo scared (even after reading the spoilers and Yelp reviews). Turns out, it wasn't so bad after all. Sure it was scary opening doors and stuff, but it turned out to be not as scary as those scary mazes where people jump out at you. There's lots of running, hiding, even crouching down under the bed (if you didn't volunteer to go away somewhere). Stairways are dimly lit, so my advice would be to tie your hair back. To be not scared, just remember they're all actors. Play along with them. There is free valet parking in the dark street (Edgecliffe I think). Tip the valet person when you leave. Or you can find street parking around there. read more

I have to say this was definitely an awesome experience! Kudos to the director of the story and 2 thumbs up to all the amazing characters in the play! Really cool special effects and great make up & costumes. It was really easy and fun to join in and commit yourself to each character. It was our very first time being in an interactive play and boy was it so much fun being included! It flowed beautifully and everyone in our group were complete strangers but once we went in everyone respectfully took part and once we came out we couldnt stop raving about it! I don't want to give too much detail so I'm a bit tongue tied but what i can say is I definitely agree with all the positive reviews this was a fun and awesome experience! This year, it was more of a sci-fi adventure. The theme of 'time-travel' was an issue AND the dialogue went on too long at times and the plot was a bit confusing overall. It didn't feel like a HORROR play. It felt like a INDIANA JONES adventure. It was fun but not scary. Not Halloween! There were moments I felt myself tuning out because the actor would just ramble on about something. The previous years were more engaging story plots. Filled with escape rooms, puzzles, scares, thrills, and all sorts of scary creepy character. It FELT like an INTERACTIVE HORROR play. This was NO HORROR Play. For the increased price....I was expecting more horror. My whole group felt the same. The acting was Excellent and but fell short if you want to be scared. Nothing compares like the other years. Though I understand by going to shows like these we support the local actors in the area, which is a huge plus. Again, the acting was Amazing! But since this play comes around Halloween, we are expecting more thrills, horror, scare tatics. I get the fact the that company's interpretation of Halloween is about all sorts of adventures. But for the majority of people seeking this type of interaction, I feel they are still wanitng to get that scared frightening feeling at some point. Too much Dialogue I couldn't keep up with what the actors were saying and when asked a questioned by them again I had lost tracked. We were paired with others that were not from our group.
