Deluxe transportation has been brought over by RMA Limo. I would not use this service ever again, and I would caution you to do the same. I was quoted a written price for pickup at JFK airport in the baggage claim area. The flight came in early, the services were rendered, and the next day they charged my credit card beyond what was quoted, including a "wait fee" - however, since the flight came in early, the driver did not wait. It is unfair business practice to charge someone more money, without consulting them, just because you have their credit card on file. I immediatly contacted the business and asked them to give me credit for that unfair charge - they said they would get back to me in 2 days, but I never heard back from anybody. Buyer beware! They'll rip you off and not even get back to you....take your business elsewhere. read more

Was on a time crunch to get to the airport for a business trip and hopped in the car. As we took off the car smelled weird and I thought could that be alcohol? As we got on the highway the driver was swerving, looked like he was falling asleep. But there was SO much traffic I was worried about being late, and thought of pulling over and reporting him and demanding another driver was overwhelming (esp if you are already stressed about not missing your flight). In hindsight I was stupid for not doing that. Could have died with a drunkard driving me. Called the company to report this and they didn't react. Just kind of gave an ok. read more

I've been living in the area for 20 years. Every time I travel, I have always counted on Delux to get me to the airport on time. Their drivers are usually 15 minutes early so that I always rest assured. I recently booked a Delux taxi one day in advance for a flight out of Newark. The driver showed up 26 minutes late which he blamed on traffic conditions. He got me to the airport but the flight gate closed just seconds after I arrived. I missed the flight and missed my brother's wedding. I paid Delux, paid a Jersey yellow cab to take me back home and paid Delux again the next day to take me back to Newark airport. When I asked Delux for some concession on the price of the 2nd trip, the dispatcher responded, "There's nobody here who can authorize that." I've since left several messages for the manager and there's been no response. Things happen, I understand. But I don't think that Delux handled this situation with the degree of professionalism that I've come to expect from them. I won't be a customer anymore. Very disappointing. read more

We've been using Deluxe for airport transportation for 15+ years ever since we lived in Port Washington. Even after we moved we continued to use their services. They are always on time and we have met many friendly drivers and have requested them often. They are not cheap but they are reliable so far. Recently I disputed a "No Show" charge and they said they would remove it due to my cancelled flight. Will continue to ask for their services. read more

Was very happy with the ride which was used for business. My overall bill was $371 which included a $50 tip to my driver. I was looking into opening a corporate account. HOWEVER - I never use my expense account credit card and after booking this ride - it looks like they put my credit card to good use. Non stop trying to make charges on Nike.com and all different sites which got declined. But congrats , it seemed to work through Apple.com! And several purchases have been made. I made a reservation for my daughter to have someone take her to LaGuardia this past Thursday (August 18). The pick up was for 5am, but I need to change it to 4:30am the day before and was hoping they would be flexible and make the change. When I called, I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady. I let her know what I needed and she gladly offered to assist. Once I gave her the reservation number, she quickly reviewed the necessary details with me and said that the change to the pick up time was done! Wow, I was impressed. After my daughter arrived here at home, I asked her about the drive into the airport. She said that it was very good, the driver was pleasant, and the car was quite nice. One of your drivers just spent the better part of 10 minutes repeatedly honking on my quiet street at 9:30pm at night. If you want to practice NYC standards, move your business to NYC. Honking in our quiet neighborhoods late at night is downright rude. Get out of the car and knock if you need to. Aside from that, you also rip our community off with your mandatory carpool practice for LIRR commuters. In addition to that, your drivers have little respect for safety, and are often dangerous on our roads. I wish we could put you out of business. read more

So all should be informed that Deluxe has two types of service - taxi service and black car service. The difference is simple- quality of the cars/drivers and, in turn, the pricing. I have used their black car service the most often so I will speak to that first. Black car: Generally, they provide quality service with clean, comfortable cars. The cars are almost always fairly new and very well kept save for the one or two Escalade and town car holdouts (I'm all for nostalgia). Most of the drivers are respectful of your privacy and are not overly chatty. Even the hyper verbal ones are super nice and pretty interesting people if you make it a conversation. All will accommodate your cochlear (not sure that's a real word but so what) needs - news, rock, hip hop, silence, whatever. Most will have water service and some a charger for your phone. They always show up on time and communicate via text to let you know when they have arrived and confirm pickup location. I wish they had GPS so you could track your car to see how far they are primarily because I abhor standing outside in the cold or extreme heat waiting for them to find me. I recommend their black car service regularly. Is it cheap? No. But I don't think their pricing is extreme and I have found them generally competitive or, on occasion, cheaper than the luxury or black service from Uber or Lyft. Yeah, I comparison shop car service. Times are hard out here and congestion (middle finger) pricing doesn't help. Almost all of the drivers and dispatchers are more than competent and polite. Do you get the occasional Neanderthal? Rare but happens in all businesses. Only real criticism is not completely in Deluxe's control. First, I reward excellent customer service. It is very, very hit or miss with the drivers re opening your door, helping you with your luggage up or down stairs, etc. Some are refreshingly old school and will try to meet you at the door and help you with your goods, bring your luggage to the porch/stoop, etc. Most will not. I have OFTEN left my bag on the porch before the driver arrives to see it waiting there when I come outside and have a driver watch me carry it down the steps in my 4" heels and WAIT for me by the trunk to bring it to them. I see you, player, just as I see that tip staying in my pocket. Second,I have on occasion been nasally assaulted. I genuinely believe 95% of this is cultural and, in those instances, I can manage it. The other 5%? Egad. 2.5% are clearly drivers with Epi pen worthy allergies against soap and water. The other 2.5% is attributable to those drivers who equate a dousing of bad cologne/deodorant to a healthy relationship with exfoliating gloves and Dove. In those instances, I golden retriever myself with a dose of open window Vitamin D. TAXI: Old, sometimes gross cars (love love love feeling my seat dragging on the pavement) and they carpool your ride especially during rush hours so pad your time and prepare yourself to uncomfortably close to a stranger. And this is the reason for one star off. Yes, uber and lyft are cheaper in many ways. BUT I appreciate a small business trying to employ local people so, as long as I can afford (black car)service, I'll pay. read more

After being spoiled by the cost of taxis in the city, we needed a taxi from Port Washington LIRR stop to the Tilles Center. According to the LIRR website, there was a taxi stand at the stop, but this was not the case. Delux was conveniently located right next to the station, withing sight and walking distance. We walked over and inquired about a ride. A ride showed up within the next few minutes. I had read it here already, but they charged extra for a second person, that to me was kind of interesting. Our less than 5 mile ride cost us around $30. Since we needed to go both ways, that was $60 in cab fare! The car was clean, the drivers were professional and reliable. On the way home, we were also expected to share our car with another couple, who never did show, another oddity in my mind. I'd use the service again if I needed a ride in the area, the service itself wasn't bad, but I was not a fan of the price. read more

I don't get the negativity over here. Whenever I travel to Long Island, I arrive at LGA and they've always been on time. I usually go from LGA to Westbury, NY. a) they are cheaper than taking a regular cab - I realized this when I paid almost $100 for a cab fare and Delux only charges around $80 to $90 flat rate b) they are cheaper than other taxi limo services c) Car is clean d) Drivers are really nice. I've never had an issue with my credit card either so it must be one specific driver. I would recommend using their service for long distances within the New York 'burbs since they are flat rate and not metered. read more

Imagine treated like a 2nd class citizen, being overcharged then YOU have to chase the company down for a refund and then THEY stop responding to YOU over YOUR money. They were so rude and aggressive ( mainly Tanya, to my wife ) to get payment ( despite prepaying) but are REAL slow with refunding me. My wife spoke with Andrea who stated she was going to refund us "immediately" but still nothing. Since we understand things aren't instant, my wife followed up on Thursday to ask for proof or acknowledgment that it was refunded and got SILENCE as a response. But when they wanted payment, we got instant answers, phone calls and voicemails. Please help this make sense because come Tuesday morning ( since I will allow ONE more day for grace period), I will be at my bank disputing this overpayment. Happy Holidays ! read more

Good enough for my Mom. Not quite sure what the major malfunction is with all the poor reviews, but I had no other choice. Seemed like the only other service in Port Washington had worse reviews. I called about 6PM the day prior to a schedule an airport pickup for my Mom. John answered the phone and was courteous. OK so far so good, but I still documented everything in case something went wrong. I called back later in the evening to move the pick-up time up and the guy who answered was equally courteous. I asked if they could help my mom cart her luggage from the house to the car and he said "No problem at all". Next morning the car arrived at 9:00AM for a 9:30 pick-up. Car was clean, driver was nice and mom was treated like a celebrity. She even tipped him a few bucks more. She texted me from the airport to let me know that everything went well. I was relieved. I don't know how people could review this place poorly. This is the nicest ride to the airport ever. They showed up early which was nice but not to rush me at all. The driver said he just wanted to make sure he was at the right spot. The suburban was IMMACULATE! He as little waters for us and every charger imaginable. He lifted all my bags and was so polite and helpful. He drove safely and smoothly. It was seriously the most pleasant least stressful ride which, I totally appreciated. DELUX DOES IT AGAIN! What a treat to be able to use the services of this transportation company again -- this time for a VERY early morning VERY important medical appointment. It was also great to see that the driver, Syed, was the one we'd met last year. Not surprisingly, he showed up early and let me know he was waiting...the car was immaculate inside and out...and the trip was pleasant and safe. Conversation was as much -- or as little -- as I wanted it to be. And speaking with Syed is always a pleasure, so there was lots of back-and-forth -- especially welcome and calming with doctors and a hospital waiting for me at the journey's end. This review is about the car service, not the taxi. Pro: the driver was early, the car was clean and the driver was a safe driver. Granted, we were only going 2 miles, nonetheless, the experience with the actual car and driver were great. Con: I was told it was $56 for a towncar pickup, and $61 including tax. I clarified that I wanted a towncar, not a taxi. My mistake, I did not request a receipt for the quote as I should have. However, when we got out the car, the charge was for $72. Is $11 a HUGE deal? No. However, I was overcharged and underquoted or I was just ripped off. Truth be told, we were late for an event so I didn't sit there and argue with the driver (who would have had no clue about what the woman in the office quoted me), but I thought it was shady. In addition, when I was given the electronic pad to sign my name for the charge, I was ask if I will be paying the tip on a credit card or in cash which I find INTENSELY tacky. 1. we went 2.1 miles, 2. it is called "gratuity" not "additional charge for service." I tipped 30%, because he was actually prompt and safe, but I still think it is a tacky business move. Bottom line- I would probably use the service again because I didn't have any problems with the driver himself, but I will know better than to call and schedule my reservation online without getting a printed or emailed receipt of the quoted amount. read more

I frequent user of Delux I was particularly unhappy when my wife and I flew into LaGuardia from Chicago to allegedly meet our reserved car out the door at curbside. This trip was booked over one month in advance and no email was sent instructing us to the "special limo staging area" at LaGuardia for meeting private for hire cars. One of us has walking problems and if we would have be advised we would have made arrangements to avoid this issue. Uber and others pull right up to the curb. High end service at high end pricing one would expect some instructional guidance when flying into LaGuardia. read more

So far no one responded to my request for a ride total on my business cab ride a week ago. The nice cab driver's machine could not provide a receipt, nor could he see the amount charged after he rang up my card in order to provide a paper receipt. On top of that, customer service was awful. Not only was I not warned that waiting for a cab at the Port Washington HUB location would take 30+ minutes, I was also not informed that I'd be sharing a cab with 2 other parties. It took over an hour to get to my final destination. The other 2 parties were not informed either, and it caused one to miss picking up her child from an appointment. It would not surprise me if they quickly go out of business because uber was 2/3 the price and immediate but I had gone on the urging of local contacts that Uber did not service the area. Turns out they do, and guess what, at least they provide a digital receipt and time estimates! I was a business traveler and I need my receipt to expense. I and my local contacts have attempted to contact the accounting department, but they refuse to return our multiple calls. Is it really that difficult to call a customer? Do they really not care at all about customer feedback in a competitive market? Oh, and don't bother with their online form - that doesn't work either. My driver was nice, but that's the only upside to the experience. These are the basics of running a business. Shame on them. read more

I had a positive experience using Delux for all my wedding weekend transportation. It was simple enough to book the vehicles on their website, and I emailed back and forth with the manager as well who was helpful. For all the pickups and drop offs, the cars that showed up were always on time and were the class I paid for or better (i.e., one time we received an SUV when I paid for a regular black car). I didn't meet all the drivers that weekend, but the ones I met were helpful and kind. read more
