Parking isn't the easiest here, but at least street parking is free in the neighborhood. I had no problem booking a massage days in advance via phone call. I got the 70-minute combo massage, which includes both foot and back treatment. This occurs in the shared community space with clothes on. I was the only one there on a Saturday late afternoon, no other customers present during my session, and I'm pretty sure my masseur (possibly the owner) was the only worker on site. He had his phone closeby during the massage, which he checked once when it beeped. But he ignored it the rest of the time. Soft music played in the background, but all of the sounds from the street outside and through the walls could still be heard. I didn't mind, cuz the massage was really good which is what matters most to me. My masseur had a unique method of applying pressure and strength, using mainly elbows and knees on my back. Be aware that the back massage was done over a fairly thick sheet/blanket, but the pressure was deep enough to be effective. He was thorough, especially on my legs and feet. Targeted my hamstrings, shins, and outer muscles of the legs which is where I needed it most. The fast rubbing made me a bit numb, but when he slowed down, I was on cloud nine. And he applied pressure to all the right parts of each foot, too. None of it was painful. It didn't feel rushed either, so this place gives a true "foot massage". The guy was friendly, and prefers cash payments, but I only had enough cash for a tip. I was able pay with a credit card for the massage itself, with an additional $2 fee for the charge. read more

If you come here, be careful for the male employee. Everything was ok until he massaged my shoulder. He almost massage my whole breast. He keeps moving his hands and touches my half breast then stopped when I turned looking at his hands. Then in a bit, he stretch my back and his .....is right on my head. Whole process, he did some massage techniques but some are touching, not massage at all. You know what I mean. I don't want to call police I do anything to hurt business but lady, please don't do if they offer the male employee. And the funny thing at the end when we pay. I took my mom here since we often eat at the restaurants on Sam Bruno Ave. and a foot massage is a perfect compliment after a nice meal. Howeve we would NOT return because of following: 1) they don't bring a tub of warm water to soak feet. We have gotten extensive foot massages in Asia and even throughout California and Texas. This is the first time there wasn't a foot bath. Your feet are wiped with a wet towel before and after the service, but the towels were rinsed in the sink and NOT from a piping hot towel steamer. All professional places have towel steamers for comfort and hygiene. 2) Therapist left during the massage to take a care for 5-10 minutes and did not extend massage for make up for this disruptive, unprofessional behavior. He also smelled of strong cigarettes 3) Decor is like a DIY place with mismatched massage chairs and equipment that looked like it came from garage sale. 4)! A lot of deep tissue massages are often too painful for me; even after I give feedback to decrease the pressure, the experience ends up being more and more uncomfortable. Lily, however, responded to my feedback and even welcomed it. They were just a couple of times where she insisted on working out a knot. She immediately pinpointed a spot where I have a long-standing back injury and was able to focus on that area little, and when I told her about a wrist injury she also did extra work on that area. In fact it was probably my best arm massage I have ever gotten and I usually don't really care much for arm massages. I was in desperate need of a massage and I was able to find this location for a reasonable price. I was able to find this location on yelp and purchased the 70 mins foot massage (+30 min back massage). I'm pretty sure you'd probably still get a 20-30 min back massage with a 60 min foot massage but none the less, the staff was super nice both in booking the reservation and when entering. It was a bit hard to find parking around the area but luckily someone left right across the street after circling the area for about 5 mins. The massage area is multiple chairs for the foot massage but there are curtains that can be pulled to give privacy to everyone. The massage was good but I did subtract a star because the actual massage part but a bit lacking. They do it over your clothes and it was a bit superficial and just rubbing/pressure on top of the clothes and not enough of an actual massage. Not sure if its just COVID safety that they don't want to touch actual skin or something but it was just avg. The foot massage part and the beginning massage my arms and head and good though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, solid massage place and fairly priced. Quite a nice foot massage in a quaint area. Came on a Sunday early evening and parking was not hard to find on the side streets nearby. I passed out really hard from the foot massage, the guy was pretty good. The price was reasonable! Definitely would come back! Note: If you have a party greater than 2 people, do call ahead and ask if they have enough masseuses to accommodate at a single time. Bad job I do not like the therapist - horrible massage plus asking for tip in middle of massage

The first issue we were having was with parking. Still not quite sure if the meter was just not working correctly, or what. It said 15 minute limit but also said to use the arrows if you wanted to pay for more time, we put lots of change and it just wouldn't change from 15min. We went inside to talk to the staff about it and they told us they would keep an eye on it while we got our massage, and add more change when needed. Nobody else was there so we got in right away. We were both separated into separate private rooms. Usually when I go to these type of massage places they ask me how much pressure and about any problem areas, plus a warm foot soak; but I didn't get any of those. I had to let the lady know to lighten up cause I just couldn't take all the pressure. Although all of the staff were very nice, the lady I had seemed as if she was sick, sounded like gastric problems and a sniffling nose. She did wear a mask but it had me a little worried, when I didn't want that mental pressure while I was trying to get a relaxing massage. In the end though, once she finished the massage I felt great like I had a brand new body. My husband also said the same; he enjoyed how it made him feel better and he wanted to possibly go back the next day but we didn't. They charged us $2 for the parking meter, and we gave them $10 each as a tip; but then they asked if we could give them more so we gave each masseuse $15 tip which ends up being a little over 12% each. Overall the massages made us feel great, which was a 5 star hit, but all the other misses summed it up ultimately to 4 stars. read more

Found this spot last minute the other day. Got lucky that they were able to take me last minute. Alice was very nice and courteous. I was hesitant at first since she looks a bit petite, lol! But once she got started on my problem areas, she was like a pro. I originally went in for a foot massage plus shoulders. But she asked me what my pains were and what I needed help with. Once I chatted with her, she suggested the deep tissue massage. She was spot on! She knew exactly what the cause of my pains were once I described how I was feeling. She was very knowledgeable during the massage on what parts to work on to help relive my pain and soreness. As I saw how hard she was working I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. She skipped my neck and feet entirely during the bodywork. When it was time to pay she asked how much I'd tip and tried to increase the original agreed upon price. For the quality of care, the massage deserved 10% but I gave 20% and she demanded more. This is the first place i was physically violated....there is absolutely no reason why his hands needed to touch those specific places on my body which are off limits. I didn't even want to say anything....im sure i am not the only person who has been rubbed in places that should NEVER BE TOUCHED.... Have you seen that TikTok that says "How bizarre?" That is how I left feeling. It was my first time trying this place. I would give it 3.5 stars, I rounded up. When I walked in a nice lady who spoke little English told indicated that I should wait 10 minutes, and while I waited, she was kind and shared some tea from China with me. When I finally got brought back to the massage area, it was shared with another customer. There is zero privacy, so if you want to take your bra off for comfort, and put the shirt back on, go do that in the bathroom. A man poked his head from around a curtained off area and indicated I should leave my bag by a pillar. The next man came in to put my feet in a warm water basin, and indicated I should lay down on this 2/3 length bed. The shoulder massage was ok, sort of poke-y and the neck (which was tight) was squeezed and prodded at with gloved hands, no lotion, which might have made it better. The foot massage was the best part- just be warned, if you have scar tissue it might hurt when they grab your feet. That was followed up by facing down massage. It was ok, I asked for no percussion and it's what I got, albeit not quite hard enough in some areas. The massage did remind me how tight my IT bands and hip flexors are. After the massage I went to pay, and a man was at the front desk in stead of the woman who'd given me tea. The sign said "Cash Please" and I had limited cash- enough for the massage and a small tip, but the man said he wanted 20% minimum, and pointed at the card reader- so I paid by card. Before I wrote the tip, the man who swiped the card wanted 10$ tip by default, which is more than the 20%! I showed him how I calculated the tip on my phone and wrote in the 20% tip, not sure where the 10$ came from. If I was super relaxed and happy and it wasn't demanded that I pay 10 by default, I would perhaps, have paid that much. I felt miffed. Not sure if I'll go back for a full massage, but the foot massage was good enough that I might come back after standing all day at work one day. read more

So I went in first thing this morning when they opened to resolve an issue on my right leg--my ankle and shin was sore and achy like shin splints crossed with a sprain. No doubt it was caused by walking too fast and too furious in dress shoes... Okay, maybe not. Mr Ming screwed up his face as he assessed the issue and warned me that this session would be uncomfortable. Indeed. So began the "physiotherapy". The procedure on the left leg was quite standard with a few tender pressure points, but when he got to my right leg, he was grinding out some very crunchy bits and stretching my muscles and tendons. It was almost yelping pain. But, as soon as he was done, the range of motion was restored. When he moved on to my back, once again, lots of knots and tension spots because I had been limping. He applied significant pressure to grind out the knots--the experience was about a pain level 5-7. Made me feel like I was in a mechanical meat tenderizer. But, when I got off the table, I could walk normally and briskly! As he finished up, he asked me how much I weighed... Huh? He basically said that if I lost a significant amount of weight, my ankle wouldn't be as sore. No kidding! LOL. Dang those yummy Yelp reviews and pictures... Certainly not a cushy Balinese style massage. But if you've been unkind to your body, and are willing to endure some discomfort for the payoff, this body mechanic is for you. read more

My mom has been coming to this place for about a year and had a good experience. Yesterday she came in for a massage. My mom had booked an hour massage and when she was checking in the woman at the front demanded she changed her massage for a longer time and kept telling my mom 1 hour is not enough. My mom gave in since her previous experiences had been good. The lady soaked her feet in warm water for about 2 minutes then ushered her to a room where usually my mom would undress but this time the lady said there is no more undressing and would massage her with her clothes on. Unfortunately my mom decided to stay and let the lady "massage" her with all her clothes on. It wasn't even a massage. More like rubbing my mom's clothes on her. I've been coming here quite a few times now and each time was great, but the last couple of times I got a younger male masseuse and just felt violated overall. Both times it happened was with the same male masseuse. The first time I thought, maybe I was overthinking. First time, he overly focused on areas he wasn't supposed to even though I told him twice that I wanted more focus on my shoulders. Even though it was a full body, it definitely did not feel like it was balanced and equally distributed. I've gotten many full body massages at other places to understand what is balanced. The second time was today. I intended on getting a full body massage, but since it was just that same male masseuse available I just asked for a 15mim chair massage. Instead of a chair I was asked to go into a room as if I'm getting a full body. It didn't make sense to me so I kept all my clothes on including my sweater. During the massage I told him to focus on my shoulders only, but I still feel violated and he tested the waters twice until I finally had to say it like 3 times to focus specifically only on my neck and upper shoulders, that's when he used full strength around my neck area to the point where I told him to ease off. Now my neck and shoulders feel sore. I definitely won't be going back. read more

Then when you go in for the massage, they do a pretty comprehensive full body massage with a focus on your problems areas. My last two sessions we're with Wu. I've been here a couple of times, and Alice does a great job of relieving stress without the pain that I've experienced at some other places that only seem to know how to do deep tissue. Where do I began....on the one hand, I'm very thankful to have a place open that I was able to be seen however on the other hand, I felt like I left with an equally painful headache after the masseuse used one of the hot stones to aggressively massage my temple. I think that this place overall has a pretty steady following, but I would say if you're having a migraine episode as I was and looking for something to relieve the pain, you probably wouldn't find it here. If you were looking for some relaxing foot massage with not too much privacy, then this is the place for you. I did like how there was great customer service and I was able to walk-in and be seen. But it was hard to get comfortable and concentrate because customers kept coming in to be seen (and the door was locked, so they have to knock really hard to be heard). I also did not like that the masseuse used the same motions over and over again. It would have been nice to have some variety. There appeared to be somewhat of a language barrier, and it was hard for me to express my exact needs to the masseuse. But I can say that it's pretty cheap and all the other guests appeared to be very happy with their services. I probably won't return again unless I'm in a jam and really need a massage. read more
