So upset. I went on my lunch break. I didn't think it would take over 1.5 hours just for my nails. I didn't want to have nails added because I type so they suggested Dip. I was excited. The lady begin to work on my nails and she was using the brush. I asked ma'am I wanted the dip nails and she said it was the same thing... the price cost the same as the powder fill in so I just let her finish. WRONG. My nails came out horrible and she took so long I didn't even have time to have her fix them. Brand new set that looks awful. They're not filed down smoothly, some are crooked, some go past the cuticle others far away from it. Some have the color buffed right off on the edges. Some have the color going under the tip of my nail in a huge blob that they couldn't really drill off. She said to come back so she can fix them. I'll be back Monday or Tuesday. That really sucks though because I have to go the whole weekend with some horribly, ugly looking nails. I was so excited because the nail tech Cindy showed me all the pictures of the nails she had done and then I was let down. I kept saying I had to go back to work and she was moving sooooooo slow. If only the final product reflected her speed of service. I would have been more grateful if my nails looked as amazing as I thought they would for the time it took and for as slow as she was going. Will update this review after she fixes my nails. Until then 1 star for their customer service. They were at least nice UPDATE: I wound up going back the following Tuesday for the lady to fix my nails. She had to redo them all. I was like yes finally and was waiting to update my review. Staying at one star. While she fixed them the exact same thing happened less than a week later. The powder started to chip again exposing my nails. I have NEVER had this happen in the 15 plus years I've been getting my nails done. I will not be back...I don't have a hard job and I'm not rough on my nails. read more

I happened to be in the area and decided to stop in for a pedicure. I came in around late afternoon thinking the after work crowd was alot. I was greated and waited no more than ten minutes. If your looking for the prices for services ots in the back of the shop. I noticed the offer other services such as waxing, lashes, and I think massages. The woman who worked on me was Nancy. She asked my name and was very sociable. Thats something that is a plus in my book lol. When I met Nancy I showef her my finger nails and told her my need to match my toes. The only reason the didn't get more stars in because I noticed gnats(look like little mosquitos) and the bathroom looked dirty. If I see any insect or bug I feel like something isn't clean. This was the second time coming here so I gave then the benefit of the doubt. Hey you decide if this spot is for you. A classic pedicure was $20, french tip, polish removal, and acrylic toe repair for around $30. Overall reasonable prices, close at 8pm 9m certain days, and its not an excessive wait. I am here in Houston visiting from NYC and desperately needed to get my lashes done. I called Lori, who does the lashes out of the back room of this nail shop at like 9am.. 3 hours before they even open. She was gracious, gave me an appt for the same day and even came in early for me. I found the salon using groupon, it was close to my hotel. But after I arrived, Lori said she would beat the Groupon price-no worries. She asked me about how long and how I wanted lashes done. 1:1 or 3D or 4k. I was not initially comfortable/ at-ease, because I typically go to places like TGF or Sports Clips, and the vibe here was a little more typical-salon. I called ahead and spoke with Tina, who ended up doing both my haircut and my waxing, and she was awesome! The salon wasn't crowded; I showed up at about 6:45 pm after calling at 6:30, knowing they closed at 7:30. She took her time with my haircut (which I'm VERY happy with), to the point that I worried about getting the waxing done, but when I asked her how we were on time, she said that she'd happily stay late (and 'work all night' if she had to - she didn't), and ended up staying 15 or 20 minutes after closing to make sure that my wax was satisfactory. It was a Brazilian, and I have red hair (natural redhead), which means that it's very difficult to tell whether all the hair is gone or not, and can take time, and she never at any point rushed, and was careful to make sure I was comfortable and content at every step. There was a slight language barrier - I couldn't understand every single thing she said, nor could she understand every single thing I said, but it caused zero issues with the quality of the haircut/wax or the pleasantness of the visit. The prices were very reasonable, though not cut-rate cheap, and I feel I got more than I paid for, and will happily be visiting Deluxe and Tina again, both for haircuts and future waxing. Not the best, but certaintly not the best either. If someone asked me one more time if I wanted to lip wax, I was going to tell them I was happy with my hairy lip. The not so fun part about that is that after a while you start thinking, wow! Do I have a hairly lip? Which I KNOW i don't....Anyway, the gave me a decent manicure, and okay pedi, and eyebrow wax. Be careful with their hidden charges. I went recently to get a Pedi, basic acrylic overlay and eyebrow wax. I walked out of there paying $95! I called ahead of time to ask the price on just a basic overlay with no nail, just powder and they quoted me $25. Most places will throw in small basic things (cutting your cuticles, short hand massage) for free especially if you are buying a bunch of services. This place does not. When getting my overlay she suggested I use powder instead of the usual powder and polish. I said OK not realizing that they would charge me an extra $10 for this. I asked if she could trim some of the cuticles around my nail and that was an extra $5 charge. At the end while sitting waiting for my toes to dry she said how about I put a flower real quick, I said yes and found out that was an extra $6 dollars.Granted I know it is usually a charge for nail art but these people pretend that they will "throw things in" and charge you like crazy when it is time to pay. Just two days later, my $6 nail art had wiped away and polish was cracking. It is not quite 2 weeks and my overlay is chipping and looks horrible. Usually I can get a good 3 weeks out of acrylic nails. I would not recommend this place, not worth the hidden charges for the quality of service you get. read more

This place is IS NOT WORTH IT!!!! I came here for a pedicure and eyelashes and I wish I had not. The nail tech was cutting too much of my cuticle that I began to bleed! It was painful and everytime I made a face and said ouch all she said "I'm so sorry" and did it over and over again for about 3-4 times until I told her to stop that was enough. I didnt even get my full pedicure!!! Then I got individual eyelashes. The lady was really nice and took her time with me. When she was finished I was really happy with what she had done....UNTIL... an hour later on my way to my friends wedding...lashes begin to FALL OFF!!! They ALL FELL OFF within 2 hours! If you ladies have husband who happens to go to this place, then you all should have to watch out. My friend checked on her husband's credit card, and found out that he spent a lot of money at this place. For example, he comes to this nails salon like twice a month and spends over 100 bucks each visit. She asked him why did he spend that much money, he was hesitant to answer at first, but then he said that for pedi and mani. But she gets her nails and toes done all the time, and most of the time the bill will never exceed 60 bucks. She came to that place herself and checked it out. She has noticed that the nails technicians there dress very inappropriately, and a lot of men comes in and ask for body massage. She thinks that they do something inappropriate inside. I went for the first time today (it was highly recommended by a friend). First I will start with it looks like a great place IF you are already a regular. I went in for a mani and a pedi, first I had to wait 45 minutes with my feet in luke warm water and a broken massage chair. Then a regular walked in and 2 techs start a mani and a pedi. At this point I had already been waiting over an hour to get a mani and a pedi.Finally when my tech started she seemed really rushed because they had a 2 women waiting. The tech was rude and finished my pedicure in under 30 minutes and the same tech started my mani which was also quite fast. The one thing that I look forward to is the massage of the hands and feet. My pedicure massage was under 5 minutes each and my manicure massage lasted ONE commercial break. I just feel like you should treat everyone great not just the regulars. I will never be going back to this place. I feel like that was a huge waste of money and time :( read more

This place is HORRIBLE! I went across the street to Crystal's nail salon because I saw that they had good reviews, and I needed a touch up really badly. The wait was going to be 30 minutes so I left. I noticed this place across the street and decided to give them a try. There was no wait. (Now I know why!). I have three major problems with this place. 1) The ladies must have clipped my cuticles for like thirty minutes alone. It hurt SO badly, and my big toe actually started to bleed. 2) I asked for french tips, but because she could not find the color I wanted I had to do something different. What she ended up doing was the most hideous iridescent peach and white manicure I have ever seen. And to add insult to injury its on MY hands. It took forever! She must have done at least 5 coats of the shellac (shouldn't it be more like 2?) so it came out thick and gross looking. And for all the time she spent the line is not even crisp. 3) And probably the most upsetting of all. IN THE MIDDLE OF MY PEDICURE THE LADY TAKES THE CUTICLE CLIPPERS AND BEGINS TO CLIP HER OWN CUTICLES, AND THEN STARTS BACK CLIPPING THE CUTICLES ON MY TOES WITHOUT DISINFECTING THE DAMN CLIPPERS!!!!!!! Disgusting. I am never stepping foot anywhere near this place again. 0 STARS! read more

Worst experience of my life. I was literally in tears and a full panic after Rosie (who is wonderful at nails) gave me highlights melted my hair and it turned bright yellow. She said oops i used the wrong color. Then she pur the right color on top of the wrong color all in all i sat for 3 hours with it in my hair. When she washed it out, my hair fell out in globs. Well, I'm giving two stars due to customer service. My nail tech was good and my pedi was good and my toes look great. My review was more for the receptionist. I never got her name, but she was the only Cacuasian lady at the front and all the tech were Vietnamese. My friend and I walked in Sunday after noon at 430 and the sign says they are open til 7pm. We asked what time they closed and she said 6 when the sign clearly says 7pm. Then we asked her if there was time for a pedi for me and a mani and pedi for my friend. She looks around and says yes. But the mani and pedi wouldn't be at the same time. And my friend says fine, she'll get a pedi only. I got seated first, and i was soaking in the chair for 20 minutes, Wondering when I my pedi was going to start. While I'm soaking, my friend is still sitting at the front and waiting. She goes and ask the receptionist if they were going to be able to see her, she tells her yes, and that they will start on her. She seats my friend and she starts soaking. I'm finally get mine started. and an hour later im done. MY FRIENDS HASN'T EVEN STARTED. I asked the ladies whats the deal. And they apologize for being short handed. I told her its not their fault but its the receptionists fault. IF YOU ARE SHORT HANDED, DONT TELL CUSTOMERS THAT THEY CAN BE SEEN. 1.5 hours later, i was done and my friends 1.5 hr of waiting for nothing.
