This is the nail salon that made me swear off nail salons for the rest of my life. I should have listened to my gut when I had to wait 30 minutes just to be noticed. I could have spent $10 on a file and some nail polish & had a 10x better experience than I had here. Now I have to go spend more money just to soak my nails in acetone for h When will nail salons actually learn how to do nails? It's pointless to even put powder on the nails if you aren't going to spend the time to file them down to the point that they actually look like normal nails someone would grow on their feet instead of having glued pebbles you found in the yard onto your feet. A normal pedicure should cost $20-$30 at most, not $90 just to look like you glued rocks onto your toes. It's all upsell - no quality. read more

I came to C Nails on a day when there weren't many customers. It was Super Bowl Sunday. They were friendly and very eager for my business. I got a manicure and pedicure, both with gel. I thought they did a good job at the time but after one week, 3 of my fingernails had chipped. I was visiting Houston so I was not able to go back for a correction. read more

Now let me tell you why you should get your nails done here. The pricing was very affordable. Which is important if Ling Ling here tryna get some nail bling bling LOL! A fraction of what I would have to pay for similar nails in Hawaii or Las Vegas. I walked in on a Friday morning a bit after opening. They were open at 9am! Bright and early. No long waiting. I was instantly assisted. The dip powder color selection was huge! Wheels and wheels of nail tip samples with colors to choose from. I'm sure you'll find the color and finish you're heart desires. I needed my nails done for a wedding. The nail tech was very patient and gentle. She made sure to ask me if I had any time restraints or appointments to go to shortly after. She was respectful of my time and expectations. I initially wanted to do acrylics as that's my go to. She suggested dip powder which was more healthier for the nails when removing and it didn't smell as strong as the monomer and acrylic powder did. She prepped my nails as she waited for me to choose a color. I noticed all the care to details she had as she examined my nails from different angles to make sure they were even and symmetrical. She glued on tips, cut them into a natural coffin like shape, then did the dip powder process with painting on cyanoacrylate and dipping it into the color. Applying an activator, then she filed. Though me and the e-file don't always get along. I had an area on one finger where the skin was super thin and almost raw. I was picking at it for days as my skin was adjusting to the lack of humidity and drying out. The e-file nicked that area and I bled. The nail tech immediately apologized and went to put some disinfectant on some cotton to stop the bleeding. She apologized again and I explained that part of my finger was already raw from before when I was picking at it and not to worry. The bleeding stopped super fast. After that she painted on a gel top coat and made sure the fan dried my nails. I asked her to take a photo of her work for me to post onto Yelp. Thanked her and then paid. I'm happy google maps showed me this nail salon that morning. It was kind of a far walk from the Hyatt House Galleria Hotel I was staying in. I'd have probably uber'd it if I knew beforehand. read more

Found this place just by accident as the place I had originally tried could not be bothered to make an appointment so I realized this salon was a short distance away and walked over. I was immediately able to get fit in, Susan did my manicure and it's one of the best I have ever had. I picked a color but when she started applying it - it was clear the color was very different to the swatch I had chosen so Susan immediately began again and picked a color that she felt was a closer match and she was right - it was amazing! She took time to get to know me, and made sure the color was perfect , even spending additional time to color the very edge of the nail and add extra moisturizer at the end under a heat lamp as my skin was dry after a lot of recent ocean time! The whole shellac manicure was just $30 plus tip and I love it. My new go to nail place as it's so close to the hotel I stay at for business and they are so nice!! read more

If this place is busy, turn around and walk out. They'll accept walk-ins no matter what, and have them wait for 30+ min in the chair, even if they're already backed up with other waiting customers. The quality of service suffers, too. On top of that, their new staff members are not trained. The man doing my pedicure seemed to be confused about which bottles were what, and what to do with all the shiny, little tools. He was very aggressive with the nail filing, and cut me more than once with the clippers and electric drill. The "hot stones" were not hot, but the same temperature as his hands, and he skipped some other steps in the process. What is normally a very relaxing experience became so uncomfortable I actually considered leaving midway through the pedicure. When paying, I discretely complained to the girl at the counter who just said "sorry, he's new." A discount would have been appreciated, since I was helping to train the new employee. The quality here is pretty hit or miss, so I won't be coming back. There are so many other nail salons on Westheimer. Don't waste your time at this one. read more

It's a no for me. I have been here 3 times and have decided I cannot spend another dime here. The first time I came for a full set acrylic powder, I asked for a cheetah print design on 2 nails.. I was told no and given a VERY basic design and still charged full price. The second time I asked for the same thing, he did the design fine but after one week 3 of my nails lifted. The third (and final) time I went was last week. I had Susan again and asked for a very simple yin yang design ... it was done incorrectly and now four days later paint is peeling off and bubbles of nail polish have come out and ruined a shirt I was wearing. I always enjoy visiting these ladies to get my nails done. It's almost like visiting old friends; we're always happy to see each other. They keep the store nice and clean. I've been to this place multiple times & Susan is VERY RUDE. For the most part I like my nails but they don't last & they charge you the same price for everything it seems like. The owner Susan speaks very well English but tries to act like she doesn't understand you and puts on a fake thick accent. Too busy to focus on the customer. Susan broke skin with the drill on my toe. I began to bleed, then she sealed it with some liquid bandaid with drill dust included. She didn't rinse the wound with water or alcohol. If I didn't say she cut me I don't think she would acknowledge. Her first line of defense was its a new tool, lol! Her apology was more of a bother than being genuine. I had to request for my toe to be rinsed. So, I asked for the person who started my toes to complete my toes. This was my first experience getting a pedicure - felt great! Kitty picked this spot (naturally) and we had a relaxing time overall. We sat down right away, but waited about 8-10 minutes while the staff gathered their equipment. The staff was professional, experienced, and conversational. They thought I was an anchorman from Fox26. I didn't have the heart to tell them no, so I said yes. Also, one of the ladies was convinced we had met before. They seemed delighted to have a "anchorman" in the store with his pretty girlfriend. The actual pedicure was thorough and relaxing. We asked for the $25 Basic Massage. This nail salon is on Westheimer in between the Smashburger and the Massage Envy at Yorktown intersection. It has been a while since I had a pedicure and since having a baby my time out of the house is few and far between so finding a nail salon right next door to the massage envy was a major plus for me. I had no appointment but walked in and was able to be helped immediately. The salon looks very clean and freshly painted. There is a disco type ball at the front and beaded chandeliers along the ceiling. The walls have tied back beaded curtains. The massaging spa chairs look pretty new and have the different colored blown glass foot bases. They even have tinier butterfly chairs for little girls. There are at least 4 televisions mounted on the wall if you want to watch tv while getting a pedicure. I picked my color and asked for the Deluxe Spa pedicure which included the hot wax and towel treatment. It was a great spa pedicure and my feet look better than they have in months! I will update if there is any excessive color chipping, but for now it was great. I also had my eyebrows waxed while I was there. I prefer threading, but again the more things I could so in a shorter time frame and without multiple stops the better. I noticed jars with scents on the way back to the waxing room that I am intrigued by, but forgot to ask about. The room used wax paper kind of like at the doctors office that is pulled new for each customer. This was one of the quickest and least painful wax treatments I have ever received. I walked in expecting nothing, but was pleasantly surprised at the experience. Will definitely be back. read more

I had high hopes for this place, but I ended up getting a mani and pedi. The shellac mani came out great (different nail person), but my pedicure was not so great. My nail person was pushing back my cuticles and she did it so hard that I ended up BLEEDING. I have had 50+ pedicures in my life and have never had a nail person make me bleed from pushing back my cuticles. She had to put a bunch of different antibiotics and ointments on it and after about 30 mins it stopped bleeding. She was apologetic about it. It is the next day and it still hurts. My skin looks like it was cut between my nail and my toe nail. Sad. :( read more

I usually do it at the European wax center, but Susan knew exactly what she was doing, she has 30 years of experience. She was fast and made sure she got every single hair that exists. Worst, rude (taunting "Why why why?" when simply asked why she was saying such unusual things to her colleagues about customer and temper tantrum type outbursts while walking away in Vietnamese by Susan - just because we do not speak or understand your language does not mean we cannot discern tone and projection of your own missteps onto your customers). I watched from the side while she mistreated my daughter with a disability (recent surgery due to an accident) and handle her rudely. When Susan made the mistake on the nails, she gruffly acted like she did nothing wrong and told her to "do it yourself" so she did because she would not see how slanted it looked toward one side. No - she was also trying to convince you to upsize your order to a more expensive then treat and bully the customer. Do not come here--obvious unprofessionalism at play here and care more about your money than respecting the customer at a basic level. read more

My shellac completely peeled off in 6 days. I am so disappointed because it was not cheap. Service was OK. I had to wait a long time to be serviced and it was a weekday with 5 or 6 technicians. I'm more disappointed that my shellac came off in less than a week. read more
