Didn't think much of it and walked into Le Nails. Unfortunately someone backed into my car causing me to run outside barefoot and accidentally cutting myself on the glass. I've been looking for a good nail shop in my area that offers dip nails, quality service, friendly customer service, and reasonable pricing and I've finally found it! I was helped immediately they have a small selection of dip colors but the colors are super cute. At least you are not overwhelmed with colors. I loved how they removed my previous dip they did not overuse the drill and damage my nails. The new dip is perfectly thin and has the perfect coverage. The location itself is very clean and quiet. Pretty relaxing they also have a large staff so there is more than enough people there when it gets full. You can schedule an appointment but you may get lucky by just walking in. I used to really like this place. I still do like it. They have excellent customer service and the prices are mostly fair. This last time, I had my powder nails removed. I got a regular manicure so that I could strengthen my nails again. I'm a bit disappointed. Within 12 hours, my nails had already started chipping. It's been three days now and my nails look really bad. I was also not a fan of the way she removed my powder nails. She basically pried them off, which hurt really bad. Every other place I have been either soaks the nails or files them off. I also paid $5 for her to yank them off. I could have done that myself. This has been my go-to nail salon for the last year, and I have never had an issue. I went in today to get my nails done for my best friend's wedding. I asked for these fall nails that were rust orange, gold, and white. The man who did my nails picked out this bright orange. I told him it was supposed to be a rust orange, and he said no, it was okay. When we make it matte, it will look just like the photo. I thought he knew what he was talking about, so I agreed. Then he proceeded but kept checking some game score on his phone every few minutes, and I was getting annoyed but brushed it off. He then did my nails, and there were little black hairs on 3 of my nails, so I mentioned that, and he got visibly mad at me and told the owner to fix my nails. At this point, I am irritated but want to get this experience over it. The lady then proceeded to finish my nails. After she finished, my nails were bright neon orange, pink, and white. NOT AT ALL WHAT I ASKED FOR!!!! I mentioned this to her, so she then cut my nails all funky and told me to have someone else fix them and leave. I always get the mani- pedi which is $35 but the reason why I keep going is my mani which I get just regular polish always always last more than 2 weeks which is hard to find. So we both showed up at 5:39pm, walked in and after a few moments one of the women working on people's nails in the back portion of the room said "what you need?" I said "a manicure" and my friend added "two manicures" because we both wanted one. The woman looked to the left, then to the right and said "we busy." And then went back looking down at the lady's nails. We both kind of stood at the front, wondering what to make of that, when a different employee yelled "we can do one, do you want one? We don't have time for two." The facility looked very basic and almost dirty. I will not return. I really wish I could give this nail salon 4.5 stars. The only reason for me not giving 5 stars and knocking off half a point is because the place is a little outdated. It's clean, pretty cheap, the staff is friendly, and they do a GREAT JOB! Diane and Michelle are my favorites but I've been to 2 or 3 other ladies and I have no complaints about them. I have never had my nails last as long without lifting or breaking. Usually, my fake nails start lifting around the edges within a week to a week and a half. Since I've been going to Le's, I've waited as much as 3.5 weeks to get my nails refilled with NO LIFTING! A full set with pink powder and nail polish is $20 and a refill is $15. The ONLY salon I go to and have gone to for years. Fantastic service, fantastic prices, and my nails and eyebrows always come out looking amazing and last for weeks!! My grandmother went here for years, my mother goes here, and my sister AND brother go here! The salon is small but comfortable, the pedicure chairs give amazinggg massages, and the ladies make you feel like family (they are all family)! They never fail to do a phenomenal job with nails (manicures and pedicures, shellac, acrylic, or regular polish- they are the ones who turned me on to shellac, and I love it). They are also amazing at doing waxing (I always do my eyebrows and upper lip here, as do my siblings). They have other services, but these are the ones I can speak on. I have lived in San Antonio for three years for school and still always wait until I go home to Houston to do my nails or brows. When I call to make appointments, they know exactly who I am. Whenever I go in, they ask about my family and school and share what is going on in their lives. I cannot speak more highly of Le Nails!!! read more
