Used them to repair hail damage , went thru insurance but they did all the leg work. They called and set up rental car with enterprise. Initial estimate took about 20-30 mins. They explained the process and issues, gave me an estimated pick up day and cost up front. They give you updates the whole way thru . Once done pick up was a breeze, they return rental car for you. Customer Service was top tier. Had some issues after pick up that I wasn't sure if it was from them or the fact my cars paid off and now wanting to fall apart but they got me right back in day I called and fixed issues! Would recommend and will use again when needed! read more

I will give this business 5 stars just because the people answering the phones are so kind, courteous and helpful. We are trying to help our daughter with her cat which got damaged during the flood in St Louis and this shop was recommended by our insurer. It is rare to have humans answering phones these days and everyone with whom I spoke was awesome. read more

Car towed after encounter with deer. Tow charge was outrageous for 3 miles. Went into office to retrieve my house key from my car key chain. I was told that I could not obtain my house key until I paid the tow bill $230, gas tax of $25, $47 per day holding tax, and more fees. My total was $488. It was only there for 2 days. I just needed my house key. I was told my car was not drivable too, which is interesting. I tried to give them my insurance claim number, but was called a foul name and was told I probably don't have insurance. Really now? At that time, I was informed that the vehicle would not be done until the end of December. Really? So, no options to get work done at another place? At what time or place was this going to be told to the consume? Oh yes, dishonesty must run with this business.Hmm. Then the man yelled at the lady behind the counter to call the cops. Okay? All because I needed my house key? It is because of discrimination that many do not trust businesses like Dempsey Adam's Car Star or any male dominated place with workers who have no name or voice. So, my gracious neighbor, who is a male, took my check in to pay my outrageous bill and a miracle happened. What? The car was driven to the front lot. Wow, isn't it interesting that I am a lady that was lied to after trusting a tow company in Granite City, IL to retrieve and fix my car? I have a full disability and was taken advantage of. I was overcharged and harassed. This place is a dump and the owner is incompetent to say the least. I will be reporting this incident in detail to the Disability Association and all who protect me as I have acquired the most protected brain disability out there. I worked at a bar in Madison and I had a regular who was there every day and didn't miss a beat Rich Harper the owner of autobody shop at 800 Madison Ave. now the owner of Rich Harper's complete auto body of grand Avenue in Granite city. Seemed as if my other regulars did business with him. The first time I use his services was for new tires and to fix a broken door. I have a 2013 Nissan Maxima for new tires doorhandle 900 bucks. Rich Harper was very helpful when offering me to let myself make payments on that $900 Two months of payments I was down to only about $80 and I was in a auto accident immediately I called Rich because he specialized in autobody work. Then I paid Andy's to tow my vehicle June 3, 2022. I then quit my job due to insurance reasons I was to pay for my car out-of-pocket and got a decent job that paid more to help pay for those damages Starting August 20 20 to 2 months after the accident I put a $400 down payment on what Rich had advised would cost me no more than $1500 for the work that needed to be done to my car which included hood fenders, bumper headlights, and the paint to match the current paint on the vehicle Come December 2022 Rich had stated that he needed 300 more dollars and another hundred dollars a week later which brought my total to $1800 and he finalized that I need to make no more payments and also told me it wouldn't be long my car would be finished However a week goes by he stops answering the phone then and then begin to respond telling me my car was almost done. It needed a paint job and that was it then along the lines of I don't have any workers I'm understaffed, but the worker that's working on your cars in the hospital Logically speaking your car will be done March 1. We are rise until April and he says we have your parts now all of them but on several occasions the car was supposedly almost done as he tells me my car is finished I go down he hands me a bill Requesting 500 more dollars and the car is too toned two different colors and he said I needed a new battery first off. Nothing is done as promised why more money do I need to pay when you told me I was done paying and my battery was just fine when I brought the car to you 10 months ago as I sent him a text message letting him know that I didn't understand why I paid 1800 which is more than the actual amount that was said in the beginning with said paint job have no paint job and now I'm requesting 500 more dollars and I was trying to understand how it made sense so he told me he was not giving me my car because he doesn't believe now that I'm going to pay him and then he hid my car for me as we're down there speaking of the amounts owed he think I was fine $400 so I threw my hundred dollars in less than a week later I paid off the amount but I still need a new battery come to find out he interchange my battery for a battery from the junkyard that was spray-painted when my battery that was under the hood of my car was an optimum battery $250 battery, and he even tried to get me to buy a battery through Him he did a sloppy job. They did a sloppy job. There's a lot of stuff not in line he didn't do the paint job I said stole my battery and if you look at other reviews, he must have a thing with stealing peoples batteries because this isn't the first time this issue obviously has happened .

I orginally asked for a simple throttle body cleaning and the guy behind the counter said what they…read moredo is shoot some chemistry thru the inlet of the throttle body and i had left with a symptom the car didnt have after they had custody of it..im sitting in the waiting room and i can hear them reving the engine to 5000rpms at least and then i see their person roll out to test drive my property ...he comes back parks the car in the rear to hide their shame ..the guy charged me $182 dollars for 1 hour labor and the chemistry ..so i get int the car after they gave me back my key..i start it ..the idel surges past 2000rpm and throws a check engine light ..and putting it in gear was jolting the whole car cause the idel was stuck at 1500 rpm ..and still has not got any better since a month later and it still thows codes still idels too high ..the did look at it on the original day later in the afternoon ..told me the issue was my MAF sensor and so i replaced it ..they asked for another bite of the apple ..i refused ...cause they seem clueless here and quiet frankly ..they were looking to be in my pocket as deep as they can get ..thanks obrien since you dont know a throttle body relearn ..or to just clean the throttle body ..i now gots to spend 100's of dollars trying to chase down what ever you people did to my car ..dont reply ..just go way like everyone else should ..they always put the blame on the customer ..and isnt that special ..

They sold me a crappy used tire with a patch and I didn't know it was bad til I bought a new tire since no used tires were in stock for over a week (another reoccurring problem). The tire tech told me that I needed a new tire because this tire he rotated was crap and whoever sold it to you screwed you over and I said the jokes on you because I bought it right here less than two weeks ago which is there time limit for a warranty with a receipt which I had the receipt and showed it was under warranty. But since the two tire techs disagreed - Randy & Shane nothing was offered to be done. Alex instantly got an attitude and was yelling at me which I explained was not customer service and it's implying that you are calling your customer a liar when I've bought 3 tires from them this summer so I'm a good customer that tries to support local business. And working there 10 years changing tired doesn't make you a tire expert. Where are your qualifications, certificates and degrees? Then they offered me a $10 credit towards a new tire when I paid $53 and when I would not agree after 30 minutes then they raised it to $20 which is still unacceptable as they are just tossing out prices and making up numbers. They got super annoyed and frustrated when I called Dobbs at their location to schedule my game plan to get this tire fixed today.I said you wasted enough of my day and I lost hours of o come down here for no reason. I told them by this display of poor service and communication and lack of meeting customers needs I will talk my business elsewhere and I did. I'm at Dobb's in Edwardsville on Hey 157 and they actually had a lower priced tire. Wren tires was $130 and Dobb's is $125 plus free balancing and will even inspect all my tires for free too since they were familiar with the horror stories from cheapies and understood how important my safety is and my concern about driving on a bad tire since I DoorDash all over Madison and St. Clair county and already had a blow out on Hey 203 and a flat in Highland. Plus I'm driving next month to Eureka and will often because it's football season. I should have went here to begin with but I heard they were so expensive. However, I called 7 other tire places and they were all more expensive - Car X being the highest and all of them would of had to order it which takes 1-3 more days (even Wren Tires plus you pay 1/2 upfront) plus that's another reason to have to take time off work and risk driving longer on the bad tire. Dobb's already had it in stock and are friendly, give out their names, prompt (fit me in when they originally had no appointments) after they heard my horror story of what I have endured since 11am today. In fact, Wren Tires heard me talking to Dobbs which escalated them both but I was already waiting on a call back from owner or seeing about a better deal as they put my tires back on the at to drive off . Alex sarcastically said in her exaggerated, flair for drama way, "you've been here over an hour and you need to leave now" so how is that for a way to run a business and use your customer service skills to promote your small business. Actually It was because they were less expensive anyway and if I have to buy a new tire and I have faith in them and have had good luck with them before but tried staying local until Wren Tires disappointed me and took advantage of me so it is not worth the aggravation. They are going through employees like toilet paper. Every time I went they were like that person got fired or quit, etc. There is always a new face. But I'm supposed to take them at their word and trust them, that's a hard no. Their waiting room is sketchy and not well ventilated or you can sit on a hot metal picnic table that is directly in the sun. That's there hospitality. Avoid them at all costs. They will tell you lies just to take your money and then make excuses to not use your warranty. They don't even deserve one star. In addition, the used tires I bought this summer need to be replaced in the next few month before winter because they only work 40% wet. They also broke my tire sensor installing my new tire last Saturday and refused to accept responsibility for it. I will get that at my mechanic because it is higher at Dobbs. Thank goodness for BG Automotive. Now I know who I can trust and who do I need to go see outside this town for quality and professional service.And will honor same tire price when IThey don't know what they are talking about and just push off tires on you do they get paid even if they are no good and have a patch on them. They are an eyesore and a running a scam in this community. Buyer beware or honestly just don't go there. Wren Tires does not deserve your business and you don't deserve their treatment of customers so save your money and increase your safety by going elsewhere.

Meineke put my life in danger by not doing the jobright and caused damage to my brake pad and cost me money having replace this stuff all over again. But before I had work redone I took it back to meineke for third time and even told them I took it to another shop the axles loose and the rotor is grinding please fix it. they came.back told me nothing's wrong you may need new struts this after taking it three times being told.nothing was wrong They refused to fix it said nothing was wrong there work was tight. So again I went back to obriens for a second time and had them lift it up on the lift and I had video recording of how loose the axle was you could literally moved it with your hand back and forth. I called meineke and I said I have video now showing that work you did was wrong will you please fix what you messed up they told me no I trust my mechanic over you and hung up on me. So I missed out on money working cause they couldn't fix my car right I had pay to replace the cvs axle t and i had replace rotor a second time. Stay clear of here I need speak to owner about getting reimbursed for cost of having to pay to have this done right there is no excuse for this poor work that was done on my car. Update I called to try get this resolved like the owner said to do on the comment. The manager who hung up on me refused accept responsibility even after video

I looked it up and was told at a previous auto repair shop that it could be something related to the body work I had done being put back in place. Knowing nothing of this sort of thing, I called and was told to bring the car in. They looked at the situation and it was NOTHING related to their repair and what was presented as a possibility. They clearly explained the issue and I learned how to better use my car! I appreciate the time they took as the issue had nothing to do with auto body. I hope to not need auto body repair in the future. If I do, The Auto Body Shop is where I will return!

Top notch service. Above and beyond. Friendly service…read more Getting rear-ended is never how I wanted to start my day. However, the service and care I received from Freer was beyond expectations. I went to 3 other local shops for a quote and no one took care of me the way Freer did. Called the insurance of the person who hit me to get me answers, helped adjust my bumper before I left their lot to make it a bit better for me to drive (without me even asking, might I add). They used Carwise which texted me updates on timeline and estimates. Called me and coordinated with insurance/rental car like no other. My repair ended up taking about a week longer than expected. More damage was found but it was clearly communicated to me that it was possible, and they gave me an update each step. They even had an after hours pick up which worked perfect for my schedule. Left me a card and a beautiful rose (such as kind touch). My car was clean and shiny on the outside (sad it won't last long due to all the snow and salt) with the inside vacuumed and smelling great! Truly can't recommend Freer enough. Kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and truly excellent service. I will trust Freer with all auto body repairs going forward!

Best Service Station in South City!…read more When it comes to auto service, I'm all about having a guy. I don't particularly like going to the big box stores for something because it always ends with a big bill and me yelling at strangers. I had a guy in South City, but he's been pretty flaky lately. Therefore, I looked into Advanced Auto Service on Gravois. Mike Silva is a standup dude. A friend suggested that I talk to him about my next oil change, which I desperately needed, and the rest of pretty much history. He is by far the friendliest mechanic that I've ever met. I guess that doesn't say much! Haha. However, he and his wife have been very friendly and helpful. While big box stores will put the fear of God in you, Mike does keep tabs on routine maintenance and makes suggestions for improving the life of your car. He also understands when someone is on a budget. He helped my friend locate a used hood because she had damaged her old one in an accident. Altogether, he is very easy to work with, and I highly recommend his services to anyone in the South City/Bevo area.

I got $56 back! :-) Out of shop my car worked for one day. Then stalled on me twice while driving. I brought it back and it was another $1200 maybe $900? To fix the problem. I would have just bought a new car if the repairs were more than $2000 initially. I did not have the financial capability to accommodate any price over $2000. I tried to make the $1600 work though because my car is very useful for my line of work. After pulling some strings I was able to cough up the money. Mind you, to repair the car any further it was at least $600-900 more because the coolant can was damaged. But I wish I knew this prior to driving it. Again, it didn't work after a full day of use. But all fluids were checked. I couldn't pay for this again nor could I go without a car for much longer. I ended up bringing the car to car max and trading it in. Again a car is very useful in my line of work so I needed it ASAP. I didn't have a car for about three days while it was in their shop and it really set me back. I called initially to ask for compensation considering how much money I had dropped on the repair. Mike had told me he could tow the car to the shop and try and fix the problem. All I would pay for was the part. The part USED, was apparently $600. I would not pay that money on a 2007 Toyota Prius. Nor would I have the capability to be without a car again. I declined. I asked for a $400 refund Mike said he would call back, never did. Two weeks pass and I drove there again asking to speak to the owner, Mike. He was at lunch. I came back again two hours later, still at lunch. His employee relayed the information and Mike called me back that night right after they closed. (I'm glad they're busy!) :-) Mike was short and demeaning, understandable. I look young and oblivious to the world. It's easy to act like I'm the person in the wrong. And apologized for taking so long to get back to me. He mentioned his lawyer would allow for a good faith agreement. Sure. They gave me the option to either get their auto repair service maintenance thing for a year OR $56 for the initial diagnosis. I'm not planning on living in STL for much longer so I opted for the $56. I understand the work put into my car but I expected some compensation. Not $56 worth of compensation, but it's okay! It's some money back. All in all, I would not recommend them to anyone. I always believed that a diagnosis meant FULL diagnosis. But Mike told me countless of times, "I can't predict the future." Because I guess you're supposed to be able to predict the future rather than addressing the problem before it surfaced in the future. Maybe I was just one of the unlucky ones but you're free to give them a try. I ended up getting a new car, one star for a great oil change though!
