This tour was the most unique tour I've been on. The vehicles are amazing and can do things you'd never be able to do in other atvs. Our guide, Stephan, was funny and engaging and very knowledgeable about the vehicle and the area we toured in. His geography lesson on the glacier river bed and moraine was very interesting and informative. Check out this type of tour/adventure not available anywhere else in the world!!

The special Ukraine built vehicles (land & water) that are used to show you roads, mountains, rivers and a lake. TY for a wonderful tour.

The best and especially our driver Kiara!!! We saw back country, rivers and even were taken into and on a lake!! Wonderful narration and a personal video of our trip. TY again!!!

    For reference, I am 5ft 6in tall.

YOU *NEED* TO BOOK THIS TOUR!!! You have heard of "Jeep Tours"? Maybe even "Jeep-Eating Hummer Tours"? Well, this is the "Hummer-Eating Fat Truck Tour"! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Drive up impossible grades! Ford streams! Float in lakes! Boldly go where most vehicles fear to tread in comfort and style! You *NEED* to book this tour! No trip to Denali is complete without it!

Great adventure with Stefan as our guide, driver, geologist and man about town. The machines are a marvel to see and the experience even better. Hope Pam had fun!!!

    Along the way

What a great time! So much fun with a great group of guides. Keira was such a blast and made the trip one to remember. If you're hesitant about doing it, DON'T BE! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lot of fun and getting off of the beaten trail. Driving into the lake and racing the other trucks was something to remember!

Best part and highlight of the tour. 5 mins. 2- dog sledding demo + wonderful facts sharing and storytelling about the dogs, their puppies, their day to day activities and seasonal activities. Very knowledgeable staff and they sure love what they do. 30 odd mins. 3- Petting one of the adult dogs while seated. Under 1 min. 4- Seminar by Jeff King sharing stories of his life as a musher and about the races with a 2 min video of Jeff and team on the Iditarod trail. Great orator. 45 mins. 5- Photo purchase at $10 per photo, $5 for reprints. Facility is good and well maintained. All in all good tour, definitely recommend.

This was a top highlight during our three week stay in Alaska! My son and I really enjoyed meeting…read morethe dogs and learning more about the psychology and science behind the sport of mushing. We had no idea the level of commitment, training, and dedication it takes to lead a dog sledding team, especially in the famed thousand-mile treks of the Iditarod and Yukon Quest races. Jeff King (the "winningest musher in the world"), and his daughter, Tessa, were engaging and captivated our attention the entire time. This is a must-do when visiting Denali (even if you visit the Denali sled dog kennels--it's quite a different experience as Denali's dogs are primarily used for education and transportation during the winter months, while Jeff's dogs are true athletes and bred for speed). Afterwards, buy Jeff's autobiography so you can delve deeper into his fascinating life (near-death experiences in sub-zero temperatures and run-ins with wolves and caribou!).

The guided hike was a great way for the 3 of us to get a get a crash course in routefinding, bear awareness, and even some flora/fauna/scat identification. The attention to detail and care that was given me as a client was matched by the experience and knowledge of my guide. For me, this included a night spent camping near a glacier, experiencing the scenic Alaskan Highway, hiking near Denali, and seeing caribou, bear, moose, eagles, and beavers along the way. For anyone not sure about what to do during their time in Alaska, I would definitely recommend Traverse Alaska. The staff is very helpful, and willing to tailor a trip that suits your desires and abilities. I was pleased to have experienced a "ultimate" Alaskan adventure while feeling safe and cared for--all while I was learning about this incredible land and its unique, majestic inhabitants." --

First, the safety policy and procedures are flawless & while the guides love to have a great time, they take safety seriously as only a Master of their Craft can! Dev & Kyle worked together like a well oiled machine and had infectious attitudes & passion for life! When I write words of praise for Dev & Kyle, you might read it as just trite sayings but you can review my past reviews and you will see some very direct & critical comments so my words of praise were 100% earned by Dev & Kyle. The course was fun & challenging so if you are scared of heights...this is the perfect fit to face your fears and overcome them with professionals! I taught mountaineering my Summer before Senior year of Military High-school & was insanely impressed with their attention to detail, safety protocol, communications and redundancies. I gave the ATV tour some critical remarks and stand by them but equally stand by my words of praise for this crew! We are a family of six and brought our four kids with us: 8-14. The guides were just superb - even the other guide we interacted with was a ball of positive fire! It's a great group of people and while the lines aren't the tallest or the longest or the highest...it was by far the most unique & diverse and definitely the longest experience to date. One recommendation - It would be great if the operator provided bug spray as a relatively low cost comfort but definitely bring your own!

Our pilot was Lucien who was very experienced and made everyone feel safe and welcome onboard. He was extremely experienced and we could tell he enjoyed what he was doing and took his job seriously while still being fun. We could not have asked for a better pilot (except for his wife). The land crew, Tristan and Sophie were awesome. Extremely friendly and made us feel special and important. After our experience we can understand why TEMSCO is the oldest, best and reputable company in Alaska. They should also be commended for the services they provide to the governmental agencies that care for Denali and other groups to help support the local community.

Anyone is already bound to be happy with having an opportunity to, one, be in Alaska, and two, book an excursion for a heli ride to see a glacier, up close and personal. Temsco exceeded our expectations. With two pilots in the family, we looked at things with maybe a bit more of a discerning eye. All that said, we were a party of four and man, this was such a magical treat. Temsco isn't new to flying but their Denali location is a new addition. Our adventure started off with a personalized van pick up and ride to the business / helo pad. We sat for a safety briefing and were fitted for boots. The small but mighty team was fabulous. They explained what to expect, how things would go and then executed flawlessly. My guy is afraid of heights and doesn't like to be in "tin cans" as he calls small planes. The helicopter was such a different experience for him. You can see most everything and have great views outdoors, even from the backseat. This was the game changer for him. It's way easier to feel more in control with this expanded visibility. And, that aside, the views were magical. This was definitely a trip worth every penny and one that you won't ever forget. We saw wildlife, drank from an arctic stream, had a snowball fight and saw Mt. Denali from the clouds. Wow. Our pilot was incredibly friendly (Flo, a young guy from Germany) but also very laid back, a very skilled pilot and offered commentary as we flew - pointing out Dall sheep several times on the mountain sides. He was fabulous. I could go on and on. Check out the pics, make a plan and def include this once in a lifetime excursion in them. You won't regret it. Ever!
