He spent 45 minutes installing it and when I asked him how less than an hours worth of work equates to $800 he snarked back "what - do you want me to take longer?" I again stated how expensive it was and that I didn't think it was a fair and he responded "welcome to the world of HVAC" and that "he doesn't charge by the hour". He later went on to state that there was a lot of work he had to do including picking up the part and filling out paperwork to get reimbursed for the motor. I'm sorry, but that's the cost of business. I was willing to accept the fact that he charged 50% higher rate for a diagnosis than my usual HVAC company because I needed help immediately, but he straight up lied about how "labor intensive" this project was. I do not recommend using this company. I wrote a review yesterday to which he defended himself by stating that he spent an hour on the phone with Carrier to order the part - that is a lie. He sat on my couch and called them from my house and my camera shows that he was here a total of one hour for diagnosis and 45 minutes for installation. He lied about being located in Royal Oak to me also - and Jason, before you claim you didn't say that, I have it on video also. This guy is as dishonest as they come.

I appreciate the knowledge the workers bring, they usually understand some of the older setups I have in my house and what they are the way they are.
