Stopped in with three friends on a Friday with reservations. Street parking was a bit rough since the restaurant is on a busy street. Plan enough time for parking. Once we were seated I noticed the restaurant was cute and clean. There were quite a few tables filled and the server told us he was short staffed and was also serving drinks at the bar. I thought it was going to be a rough experience since he was short staffed but he did a great job! He was friendly, attentive but not overbearing. The appetizers, drinks and food were all well made and all came out within a reasonable amount of time. Desserts were also good. My only critique is the crème brûlée was not set and once we took a spoon to it the inside was quite runny. Other than that everything else was great! Someone give that guy a raise! read more

Decided to have a Saturday brunch with my husband before heading to work, and we were so happy to find this place close to us. The spot is beautiful, the server/bartender was fantastic, and the food was the star of the show. We enjoyed avocado toast, French toast, mimosas, and bambolin for dessert, everything was delicious! Let's get right to it. We order the mussels. The sauce was incredible. The mussels not so much. They were either over cooked or old. It was almost as if every single mussel blew up and plastered the inner shell. The sauce gave high hopes, but the mussels weren't it. The truffle fries were great. Excellent crisp. Great truffle flavor. The aioli provided had a great snap. Fish and chips were traditional. Provided with tartar sauce but I would have loved that aioli! The branzino was fried perfectly. Flavorful but a bit over salted. Another wonderful sauce that was accented by capers. I would have loved a potato side or something to enjoy that sauce with. The asparagus was a better pair than the broccoli. That incredible mocktail. As someone who doesn't drink, mocktails have become more and more important. I like to enjoy a new refreshing drink and this was that. I asked the bartender to make magic and this was that. That bar had a great selection and the drink menu provided a wide range of quality drinks. Lastly, the service. He was great and attentive. There was never a moment that we felt neglected. read more

Such a cute spot I never knew existed until my sister moved to Kearny! Very cute decor and I love that it was open to the outside on a nice day that I went. It wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon so we were seated quickly. The waiter who seemed to also be the bartender was very welcoming and lively! We ordered drinks first and chose the hugo spritz, bellini, and a coffee. I love a hugo spritz and not many places have them over the aperol spritz so I was excited. For our food we ordered the breakfast your way, which includes 2 eggs any style and Breakfast Smashed Potatoes with a choice of bacon, chicken sausage, ham, or smoked salmon, and choice of white Bread, wheat bread, and English Muffin. Lots of options! I ordered the pancakes and side of eggs. The pancakes were not most flavorful but I enjoyed it! I think we ordered fries and they forgot to bring it so we forgot too. Finally a date night worthy restaurant on Kearny Ave. You can tell a lot of time and attention was taken to develop the venue. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a super friendly hostess who led us to our table. Without asking we had a bottle of water and glasses. My wife had the dirty Jersey which she absolutely loved. (Hand stuffed blue cheese olives) We both had smashburgers, wifey opted to add a fried egg. We enjoyed every bite. Talk about bad service My wife suggested we stop here for a snack and a drink with our kids. The place looks nice from outside and we'll gladly support local business. Before we could sit down the hostess/waitress really sternly suggested that we should really pay attention and monitor our kids - there is glass and porcelain and things around - she explained. She seemed to really not be comfortable with a family being at her restaurant. After a short and awkward discussion we decided to leave. Probably wont ever come back. Talk about dreadfull act of hospitality. Disappointing. read more

How wonderful someone had the courage to discuss bad kid behavior in a restaurant setting. i've been to one too many restaurants where children are running around crazy and parents didn't address it and when I mentioned it to management, I was told it's not their responsibility to correct these children. It's the parents fault a d they don't address it with the parents, is this once again, political correctness I think not . My kids were never allowed in an area if they weren't 21 and I believe they don't belong in the bar area, if you can't control your children, don't bring them to restaurants. if you wanna take them to restaurants tell them then teach them how to behave around others trying to enjoy their food and not deal with obnoxious kid issues. management will get sued because there's liability if something happens to the kids and most recently I saw kids unsupervised, Leave the restaurant area open the gate to turn on the hose and start flooding the restaurant area while their parents sat and drank beer maybe not so much the normal but parents were on their phones, engaging with their friends and the kids are just left to do as they please, how about areas for kids/family area??? I raised my kids and why should I have to deal with bad behavior when I have to pay over $150 to go out and eat. read more

We finally stopped in to try this place I have to tell you I'm not impressed the cocktails were very light we had a double smashed burger with bacon and fries, fyi hold the pickles very disappointing, I don't know why people these days don't salt the fries when they come out of the hot oil anymore, they were crispy, crunchy and just the right size but no salt at all why. Calamari same thing on point with crispy and crunchy but no flavor on its on the sauce was pretty good house chicken wings are not your regular wings these were baked and kind of naked barely cooked the skin was rubbery not crispy if that's your thing fine but no not for me thank you we finish eating and asked for a to go bag and the waitress brought the check right away without even asking if you would like some dessert or more drinks, so i asked for their dessert menu and ordered a cream brûlée with fresh fruit with an expresso which it finalized the night for us, service was decent and little pricey for the quality of the food and drinks but I will try them out another time in the future read more

We heard the food was American and that the place was nicely decorated. It was -but the food that evening consisted of hamburgers, chicken wings and a Cuban sandwich - which is not American. That being said the drinks were expensive and they had only one rye liquor we never heard of. The bartender asked if we wanted to taste and gave us a few tablespoons in a glass. The ultimate insult is that there was a $12 charge for that taste. Cocktails are an average of $21. The waitress explained that they were revamping their menu; the one we read online said that they had halibut, rack of lamb, steak, etc. When we were handed the "hamburger menu" we were very surprised.
