They were sexist a-holes to me. Or maybe they are just jerks to everyone, and I happen to be female. I wouldn't go there if you are human and want people to be kind to you. I did yell back at them, after they yelled at me first. It's a strange business model--yell at potential customers so that you drive them away. Please do not give these folks your business. There are much better shops in Dennis, run by kind people. read more

Went in to their smaller location and the guy was rude saying they have no bikes.... drove to the second location because the first guy said they had a big selection there, willing to spend a thousand + dollars on an e bike and left with nothing. Terrible customer service , laziest employees, terrible management. floor full of bikes but were telling me i couldn't buy any of them because they took parts out of them all??? Place is right next to the cape cod rail trail. I asked for a bike and was rented a Giant Cypress which is a Comfort Bike. One can also Rent road bikes. I saw some outside but did not check out model. They also had a number of Mountain bikes. Bike was in decent condition. Only issue I had was that found out after started riding that seat had a shock so was a bit low. Luckily bike had a quick release so able to adjust. Only other issue I had was a bit of confusion when returning as had walked in they did not have me in the system when I returned bike. I had a helmet but rent those with bike and even had bikes with baskets to put helmet in. read more

We rented one e-bike and one regular bike. Both were excellently maintained! The cape cod rail trail is beautiful, mostly level, a few minor elevations and minimal cracked pavement. Generally a smooth, relaxing ride, enhanced by the great bikes. We rode 10 miles each way, 20 in total. The staff at the shop was helpful with equipment and with directions on the trail. I never leave reviews. But I was SO HAPPY with the transparency, service and result of my visit that I need to tell everyone to go to Dennis Cycle Center! I had 2 bikes that needed 2 different fixes. I got a quick turnaround estimate of when they would be done and they were done exactly when they said. The pricing was fair and itemized so you understood the cost. When I asked to be shown one of the issues, they took the time to walk me through what happened and show me how to assess another bike I had at home (same brand). And when they saw me struggling to get my bikes onto my rack to leave (already paid and out the door) they came out and assisted me above and beyond to make it easier for me to get home. I will use them for ALL bike repairs and any rentals for guests or new purchases as well. Really happy. read more

We hired five bikes from the Dennis Cycle Center to explore the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The price was competitive, the bikes were perfect and the customer service was excellent. Great bike shop right in the Cape Cod Rail trail. Everyone there was so helpful and explained the e-bikes to us as we were first-time riders. The bikes were in great condition and quality bikes. Such a fun experience! Rode about 36 miles on the trail in an afternoon with a couple of stops along the way. I even rode past the bike shop on the way back...could've gone another 36 miles lol. Had a great experience renting bikes here for some friends when we wanted to bike the Rail Trail. Prices are VERY reasonable for rentals, esp compared to some other shops further down the Cape, and you save a lot of time sitting in traffic since you're starting on the Trail much earlier. They had a lot of available bikes compared to other shops further down the Cape, too. Other perks- fast/friendly service, the Rail Trail entrance is right next to their parking lot so you can park your car in their lot then be on your way, free air for other bikes in their parking lot, and a portapotty. The bikes themselves were in great condition and you could get a basket on it if you wanted. Would definitely come back! read more

I recently brought my road bike in for a chain slippage issue, a general tune-up and new rear brake pads. The team went through the bike, fixed the chain and replaced the brake pads. We chose Dennis Cycle Center because of it's location on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. We arrived first thing on a Sunday morning. Without inquiring about our preferences, the lone employee directed us to two cruiser-style bikes among several other styles of bikes in front of the shop. It was clear that one of the bikes was far too large, especially the distance between the seat and handle bars, but after one seat adjustment, the employee sent us on our way. We are not accustomed to this style of bike and we didn't adapt, finding the bikes uncomfortable and awkward. We realize we should have been assertive in telling the employee that the bikes didn't work for us, but the employee should have inquired into our preferences, bike experience, and complaints. read more

Had a very pleasant experience here. Brought in my Mountain bike for servicing, as i was having a persistent problem with my gear shifter and chain slippage. Was greeted immediately upon entering the shop by one of the many cheerful employees. The mechanic on duty took my bike for a test ride, had the problem diagnosed within 5 minutes, and fixed within 10. He also installed a few accessories to my bike that I purchased while in the shop, free of charge. I was in and out of the shop within 15 minutes. Very happy with how things turned out. We went back and they quickly saw what was not a great fit for her and suggested another one. They took time to show her another bike that she test drove. I called around the middle of July to see bout getting my rear derailleur adjusted - gears were not working well. I was told that I could bring my bike in and that it might take more than one day. When I arrived the next day, they were very busy with several rental customers getting their bikes. I wheeled my bike in and the young man in the service area said, "I might as well take care of this now." I may not have observed all that he did; however, I did see a couple of wheel spokes adjusted, tire pressure adjusted, the rear derailleur adjusted, and the front brake adjusted. There were a couple of other, minor checks he performed. All for $20 and I was on my way. On a long ride the next day, the gears shifted smoothly and operated perfectly. Thank you!
