Well we never got to eat. We were told the wait was 5 min. We waited 20 min and only 2 small groups just before we walked out. The hostess was having issues handling the job of seating, cashing folks out and getting flatware ready for customers oh and to go orders. She definitely seemed unsure of what she was doing. We were not the only ones to walk out. hubby and I keep saying we are going to stop going to Denny's but keep trying to see if something might be different elsewhere. Worst meal I ever had. Burger meat tasted like it had been sitting at the bottom of a freezer, frozen thawed and refrozen a dozen times for a decade and then boiled in its own greasy frost water. I guaranty it was rancid. I literally lost my appetite for the rest of the day. Horrible. Never going back into one, no matter the city. We were traveling from Vegas on the way to California and decided to grab a quick bite for breakfast at this Dennys location. As we were seated the server offered us a value menu and took it thinking it was a good deal. Not only did it take forever to serve the food but my partner got a pancake instead of a sourdough. The server took the pancake and never returned for the sourdough. I was waiting for the server till she gets off chatting with another client to follow up the sourdough for my partner since I was done eating already and they never gave my partner the sourdough. Then the bill came and to our surprise the bill was totally different to what was offered to us which was more than double, so we tried to talk to the manager. He offered us a discount but we insisted that we should be charged for the amount we were offered and what was priced on the menu. Hesitantly he finally said "okay we will give it to you" . Then he printed out another bill purporting to have two deductions of $4.00 a piece but when we did the math it didn't add up and we felt deceived. So we confronted him (the manager) and then he said "cuz you were eating something else" for which in truth and in fact we did not. The manager thinks we're stupid and doesn't know simple math. So to avoid anymore arguments and unnecessary stress we just paid him what he asked for. Hence this negative review for this Denny's location for not treating customers right and for not even caring about us at all. For those who want to grab a quick breakfast we don't recommend this place in fact would discourage Dennys patrons to eat at this location on Baker due to terrible service and unprofessionalism of the manager. read more

Over the past few years we have stopped here twice to get our once/twice a year Denny's fix. This location is a very small location on the main drag of Baker located past the old shuttered Mad Greek and the super old Bun Boy restaurants. The service is slow here, do not be in a hurry. It's slow to be seated, it's slow to get drinks, it's slow for your food, it's just plain slow. But the servers, cashier, and bus people are always very nice. Hubby orders the Veggie Scramble skillet (I think it's the egg white one?) with NO EGGS and hold the butter. So basically its red new potatoes and ass ton pile high of vegetables, including broccoli. He also gets a side of fruit and a side of regular hashbrowns. For me.......I just really can't stand breakfast (except plain oatmeal which I eat every morning) so I order the veggie burger. Sometimes a bun, sometimes just lettuce. Sometimes I just order a salad. Boring I know. Sometimes fries, sometimes fruit. I do not like this location at all. We waited for 50 minutes!!!!! :( Also 3 of the ladies bathroom stalls weren't working. The workers skipped several people, only called names about every 20 minutes, and by then those people have already left. One worker doesn't even write down your order, and it took them 15 minutes just to ask us for our drinks. They give you like 1 very small piece of bacon, you don't even notice it on the plate. The club sandwich wasn't even cut proportionately. Fries were cold when they got to the table. I ordered a prime Philly sandwich without mushrooms, onions or bell peppers. It still came out with onions. I sent it back and they brought back a sandwich drenched in cheese sauce. It was disgusting. I told them to just cancel it. Service was horrible. Then the waiter asked me if he can get anything else. I said yeah the pancakes I ordered that you never brought. Me and my family stop on the way to Vegas not many people inside so I would have expected our food to not only be HOT but not Have Hard as a Rock hash browns. I didn't know you had to say I don't want my hash browns so hard I couldn't eat them I assume hash browns come out a little brown and crisp on top so you could at least enjoy the potato inside. But we were of a different race but when the race of the waitress and cook came in the hash browns were cooked perfectly lightly crisp on top not hard as a rock. What do you expect from a Denny's? The food was your average fare. After all, they all have the same/similar menus. I will, however, never come back to this location. The customer service is horrendous. On 5/27/16 I stopped here with my pregnant wife to get some food and escape the traffic on the way to Las Vegas. After the average meal, I asked for the check. We were told by the waitress that the credit card machine had gone out. I told her I did not have any cash She went back to the owner who was frantically trying to fix the system at the cash register. I followed her up and demanded to know why I wasn't told about this before I sat down. He only apologized and said it happened while we were dining. He then pointed outside and indicated that my pregnant wife and I were to walk over to the gas station because an ATM was present. A problem like this, that has nothing to do with the customer, should have been taken care of by the establishment. He should have eaten the cost of the meal due to his restaurant's sudden inability to process credit card transactions rather than have his patrons march across the way to find an ATM. I was in a bind. I had no Wi-Fi, a paper due and a dying computer with only a few moments to spare. We were on our way to Disney and already running late. The staff was friendly, quickly brought me to a quiet space to do homework and where I could plug in and use their Wi-Fi. When it seemed like it wasn't going to work, one of the staff members brought his phone over for me to use his Hot Spot. Never once did they ask me to purchase something, asking if I needed a drink and checking in on how it was working for me. All around pleasure. Not listing names but want to thank those who worked the morning of 12/8/17. Your actions of kindness made our family trip experience 10 times better! We stopped to charge on or way home from Vegas. The general manager Fernando was so rude! Left us standing there didn't ask have we've been helped Wich he knew we hadn't on account he was the only one at the register , then when I ask if we could be seated he grabbed some menu's and walked away then stopped and looked back at my family like "well are you coming" I was so annoyed , our server never asked of we would like a drink, after 10-15 the bus boy are you thirsty, then about 10 minutes later the not so friendly server too our order , Wich too 30!!!! Decided to do a quick stop for ice cream and some pancakes. All five members of my family were immediately seated by the manager himself. After 30 minutes of waiting , we tried to make eye contact with the waiters but we were ignored. Finally, we were asked by one of the table cleaning guys what we want for a drink. A tall lady came and said she didn't know it was her table . She claimed it was her fault. We only wanted 2 Banana splits , a stack of pancake and a Sundae. 20 minutes later, we tried to inquire about our order. She said she is still making the order. I asked for new toast so it would be hot and buttered. They gave me cold toast with very little butter. I will be talking with the manager. It looked understaffed but she managed to keep everything under control and still provided EXCELLENT customer service as well as the older cook that was working that shift. This is the second time we have been to this Denny's on the way home from Vegas and I usually don't eat at Denny's at home but hands down this has been the best breakfast I have had two times in a row. The three of us had a breakfast, a sandwich and a dinner so we got a representative sample and everything was tasty. The slam breakfast was good with crispy hash browns without being oily. A pot roast sandwich and turkey dinner were likewise delicious. Our server was friendly and accommodating. All in all a good road stop. read more

Worst breakfast ever. I understand the Covid issues and all, but things are much better than they were at the beginning of the year. Food arrival was very slow. Server apologized a couple of time. Not my biggest issue. The food was just terrible. We've eaten at other Denny's, some which are really good. I had the Fit Breakfast. Very bland. Fruit not very good. Eggs/spinach were very bland. Husband had egg and bacon breakfast with a side of biscuits and gravy. I know Denny's may not be the ideal place for biscuits and gravy but the gravy was thick and white with no good flavor. The sausage were links cut up, not ground sausage. Who does that? The sausage by itself wasn't even good. Bacon was a bit overcooked for his liking, like crunchy. Even the shredded potatoes were bland. I don't know if anything had seasoning. Very disappointed. Using decent food and seasoning has nothing to do with Covid. read more

Where do I start , the service here was dry like so dry I offered our server a glass of water. We ordered our food and the waiter didn't write down our order and had to come back and ask how we wanted our eggs. Now when we got our food we didn't even have silverware . I am kind of surprised myself that I am giving Denny's five stars but this visit was one of those awesome fusion moments where everything felt so nice so I left feeling like giving it five stars. First of all, being out on the round and hungry, and being surrounded by a bunch of fast food options in the night, Denny's looked very inviting and warm. It was so windy outside and cold, getting inside felt so nice. We got seated right away and the lady brought us hot drinks right away. We ordered, and the server changed to this guy who seemed very attentive and was happy to fulfill all my little changes to this and that like picking a veggie burger, making it a lettuce wrap, adding mushrooms, not wanting cheese, wanting a gluten free english muffin, etc. Food came out in a good amount of time and the order was right. It tasted pretty good. I mean, its not like best of all time but for Denny's fair it was really good and it hit the spot for me. And the gluten free english muffin that has been sold out at other Denny's I finally got to try here and it was AMAZING. It was so fluffy and soft with a little butter, it felt like heaven. Granted that I don't usually eat carbs and finally getting to try this gluten free English muffin was awesome and good! I think it was my favorite thing here. I haven't had a fluffy bread type carb in a really long time that was gluten free too. So missing eating croissants. The server came to check if everything was good, got us more water and got us the check in good time. Really nice. I also like they have vegetarian options and GF gluten free symbols on their menu now. They also have a lot of healthier substitutes like broccoli instead of fries, salads, etc. read more
