Denny's has really turn their menu around, the food selection and quality is great, lots of fresh and good choices. This location need to work on service. I sat and read my book for 45 minutes not once my coffee or water was refilled. What is worse the place was empty, and servers walked by several times and look at my empty glass and cup on the edge of the table and simple ignored it, even when they had a pot of coffee on their hands. I will have to consider driving to the one in willsonville the service there has been great every time. read more

Just came out and had to write this review. This was thee worst experience I've had at a Dennys and I'm 52. The service was awful. No one came to take our plates, ask if we needed to go boxes, the waitress brought the wrong dessert. They weren't even busy so most of the cook staff were sitting around talking loudly right by our table. The guy started vacuuming next to us while we were eating. It was terrible. Never saw a manager to do anything about their loud, lazy staff. Find another Dennys...please. read more

I came into the Canby Denny's recently, and our server (I think her name was Anala), put me and my food through a dangerous journey. There were flies having sex on my drink, I watched and it was the best thing I'd ever seen. But besides that, the most annoying fly of all, was about 5'6 with black hair and trashy tattoos. I asked for a water "light ice," and I received a water with "medium light ice." Fire anala and hire the fly babies that were being made on my skillet, they would do a much better job... also there's a guy there I think his name is Nate?... oh my goudddnessss make him manager yesss dadddyyy he's such a nerd :p read more

The meal was a disaster with a decent ending. My son ordered nachos, no cheese (lactose issues). They came fully loaded. We asked the waitress, who seemed to not want to be there, why they had cheese on them. She said she forgot to tell the cook. She said we could keep them free of charge. (why? We did not want them) She left the table with 2 empty glasses without asking about refills, and reordered the nachos. 10 mins later, she came out with chips with chili on them. Nothing else. My son asked where the rest of the items were. My friend then noticed his "Moons over my hammy" had no burger patty. We asked for the mgr. Several Denny's have closed so this one still being open is really nice. Typical Denny's, not fancy or high end. Just a family diner that is less expensive than IHOP. I always go for my birthday breakfast every year. The coffee at Denny's is great. The dining room at this location could use a remodel. read more

I have been to many Denny's good and very very bad. This one hits the upper end. The food taste great (they know how to cook eggs), the atmosphere is friendly for ALL ages, and IT'S CLEAN! The only cleaner Denny's i've been to was in Japan, so it has some competition. read more

Horrible service. I had to ask twice to get our table clean because it was dirty and sticky. The floors were dirty would wipe down tables and set the next customer without cleaning the floors. The waitresses did not seem like they knew what they were doing constantly wiping their nose and wiping their hands on their pants. There seemed to be nobody in charge nobody directing anything customers constantly waiting to be seated and constantly waiting for drinks. The restrooms were also dirty. The waitress who mainly helped us wasn't even in uniform and look like she had street clothes on. A older gentleman came from around the back of the kitchen walked in front of the dining area as he was looking at people waiting to be seated and left the restaurant poor management. I would most definitely not recommend this place to anybody. read more

Come here all the time since it's the only sit down eatery in canby. Always terrible and I rarely tip because of bad service.

We always enjoy dining at Canby Denny's. The employees are extremely, friendly and make their customers feel very special. I especially appreciate their fresh fruit and fresh garden salads. My favorite menu item is the fit fare salmon. It is prepared in a very tasty, healthy style. read more

This place is poorly run. (Canby location) I cant stand this place. I refuse to eat there anymore. The managment is lousy. The staff is lousy. They are rude. I am tired of going in there and they would rather hover around the counter area in front of the kitchen and chit chat amongst themselves, then care to seat me. Every time that I have been here the service and food has been wonderful! Friendly servers, able to accommodate my special orders, and good food for a fair price. Clean establishment and the only 24 hr restaurant in Canby. I definitely will be coming back. read more

Up until a month ago, this was a cut above... good food, friendly service, clean... varied menu. However, in the past 3 visits, it was very disappointing. Not sure what happened... tried their new burgers three times, a success the first, the second two, within days of one another, both had stale buns!!! I complained at the time, they brought me another, it was stale as well. (surprise if taken from the same package)... and then my husband tried a few days later with the humburger --he'll eat anything -- and it was stale as well. So, they either didn't learn their lesson or they need to change suppliers. Also ordered their cali club and it arrived not like the pic, more like a homemade sandwich, not with the sun-dried tomato mayo listed on the menu, but with a slathering of plain mayo... again, I complained but this was 3 visits in less than a week. I know there are much more important things to worry about than quality at an affordable restaurant, but still, there is a basic assumption that the food will be fresh, and a specialty menu item will be prepared the way it is advertised on the menu. I bothered to notify corporate who basically said, "Oh, sorry you were unhappy with your food. We hope you will try us again." This kind of attitude from the restaurant and the corporate office is what kills these places. What happened to word of mouth and making the customer happy, especially when they are right?
