After a long day we opted for grabbing takeout. I've had Roxy's on my to try list and decided to check it out since we were in the area. -Customer service 5 The gentleman who took my order was very friendly, welcoming and ensured we had napkins, sauce, utensils etc. He let us know a general wait time as well. - Food 3 I ordered the Kalbi Ribs plate with a side of rice and an extra scoop of Mac for my daughter. The serving size was decent but where it fell short was the lack of flavor in the Mac and most of the ribs were so fatty with very little edible meat on them. Over half of my ribs ended up being tossed due to the fatty portions. Unfortunately I had much higher hopes for flavor and quality.

Walking in feels good, a little thrown together, but the music and atmosphere are relaxed and fun. The staff were wonderful, chill, and helpful with any questions. The menu outside on the window had some stuff, the menus inside had some more, so that was a little confusing. You stand in line, order, and then find your seat. I liked this order of operations as it helps speed up what aim going to order. The food was good. I think I did myself a disservice by ordering a meal that I've made myself, and had plenty of other times, therefore I had really high expectations. This did impact my rating. My son had the Kalbi Chicken, and while he enjoyed it, it was a bit dryer than hoped. The flavor was good. The mouth feel of dryer meat, with rice, and minimal sauce made it a little more difficult. More sauce may have made it better. The flavor was good. I had the Loco Moco. First I think the gravy was tasty. I removed the rice, and was offered veggies, but that would have been too much food. For me the dish really is in the gravy, meat, and egg. The egg was perfect. The patty was preformed, which gave a frozen vibe, instead of a fresh patty. The taste of the patty was pretty good. The combination of gravy, egg (and. Yolk), and gravy were good. I think it could have been a bit better (hand formed patty would have made it even feel a bit more authentic, and less like fast food). I do want to share that I enjoyed the Mac salad, I've had this at a couple other places and this one I enjoyed more than the others. I will be going back, and trying some other dishes where I have less bias, and will update my review based on those experiences.

Roxy's is an insane 100/10. On every level possible, Roxy's exceeds expectations. I've eaten here all the time, but today want to specifically review their catering. I placed a catering order for a dozen people for an employee appreciation event and it solidified my love for Roxy's for all occasions. A dozen construction dudes kept raving about the food between bites. The portions were generous and they all left super full. For the price, this was an extremely reasonable way to feed our employees, and for the quality and taste it was a bargain. I emailed to bump up my pick up date a few days prior and Danny & Shayna (owners) responded back immediately, accommodating my ask. The staff here is always so friendly & the vibes are great. Thank you SO much for catering our event.

    No Mac :(

No Mac :( very sad but also not driving back. Going to wait to tip next time until receiving order. Extra sad because it's the second time it's happened to me and I really like Roxy's for their Mac.

Kalbi Beef for me and Moco Loco for my husband. So good - even the macaroni salad was delicious. For the record they're open Sundays obviously since we just got back even though Yelp shows closed. The service was great. The gal at the counter was super sweet. The pictures do not come close to doing the food justice. The restaurant is smaller and a little underwhelming for atmosphere, but it seemed most people order to go. They were pretty busy with Grub Hub orders.

While the kitchen takes its time and the pricing details can be a little confusing at the register, the sheer amount of food you receive makes it well worth the wait. Trio Plate (4/5): An absolutely massive sampler that provides enough food to easily split between two or three people. The container is packed so full that it requires a rubber band to stay shut, with extra items overflow-packed into separate containers. The individual proteins are a bit of a mixed bag, but the deep frying technique is delicious: Ono Chicken (4/5): Perfectly crispy chicken thighs that are deep-fried fresh to order with no old oil taste. However, I felt like the sweet and savory garlic shoyu sauce described on the menu was lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting. Dynamite Pork Katsu (4/5): The highlight of the plate. It also had a crispy light batter with no greasy residue. The spicy mayo and katsu "dynamite" sauce carry the dish, though all the sauce is concentrated on the top layer, leaving the pieces at the bottom a bit bland. Meat Jun (3/5): My least favorite of the options. The egg and flour batter felt sparse, and the thinly sliced marinated beef was tough to chew from the heavy amount of tendon. Sides (5/5): The singular scoop of rice is a massive portion on its own and perfectly cooked. Swapping the second scoop for mac salad is highly recommended, which was delicious, perfectly balanced, and not overly weighed down by heavy mayo. Logistics Tip: Arriving on a weekend afternoon shortly after opening means walking into a very busy place. Be sure to grab a physical menu from the stand near the cashier before jumping into the line to order. Note that the menu lacks transparency regarding upcharges: you may encounter unexpected $1-2 additions for certain premium meats in the Trio combo, as well as a $2 charge to swap a rice scoop for mac salad. Parking is highly limited, so expect to hunt for a spot along the surrounding neighborhood streets.

The BBQ chicken was flavorful and well cooked. The Kalua pork was tender and really good. The musubi had a lot more flavor than I've had at other places. Now the Kogi fries were amazing and puts this spot in the front lines with others. The bulgogi was super tender, the sauce had a mild spiciness to it, the kimchi tasted fresh and the waffle fries were prefect! The macaroni salad and rice were both pretty standard. Price is a little high but when it came out I felt ok with it. I like the Mac salad. Not too cute, just good simple Mac salad. The garlic chicken had a really good texture. Crispy and juicy. The only thing I would change is the sauce was kind of wimpy. It was a little sweet and a little garlicky but I wanted a lot more of both. The spicy pork was not my favorite. Spicy pork bulgogi is one of my favorites. The problem I had was it was too dry. So it made the spice a little too forward in the wrong way. I could be talked into coming back.

But today, I had the time to swing by and fortunately he was open, but SOLD OUT. Fortunately, he had a few things left over. So I said yes to a mix plate. Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised
