This review is really about our waitress, Kayla K. Denny's are pretty much the same everywhere, but they don't all have a Kayla K. Kayla gave us directions to get to Rapid City which were far better than the ones we got off Google Maps. We were able to keep ahead of a bad storm almost the entire way though it did catch up with us just outside Rapid City. At least we missed the snow! The manager here runs a tight ship, but does it all with a sweet attitude. We have never had a bad experience here even when it's been extremely busy. We generally don't enjoy chain restaurants, but this is our go to for breakfast. There is plenty of space so you don't feel crammed like a few of our other breakfast stops. This is our 3rd time ordering breakfast (delivered) from Denny's in Casper, Wyoming and this is also the 3rd time they have failed to include pancake syrup! This was also the 3rd time everything was cold, the only exception was the hash browns which were slightly warm, however we ended up throwing the hash browns from each of the 4 breakfasts away since the top was slightly browned but the potatoes underneath were completely raw. There is zero quality control and even the manager doesn't give a crap about you or the service. We are 100% disabled vets and when we called them about the pancake syrup missing, they told us to drive there and pick some up. We told them we are on oxygen, 100% disabled vets and since it was their mistake, they should deliver it to us, they spoke to their manager who told them, no, that we will have to come and get it. This Denny's is by far the worst I have ever seen and since they only have 2.7 stars aggregate, from reviews, I guess a lot of other people agree. My waitress acted like she hated her job she took 20 minutes just to take out order. The food took about 20 minutes as well. When we recieved our food it was very cold and under cooked. Upon entering I was met by a cheerful young man named Branden. He greeted me , asked about my morning and then seated me. Took my order and I had my food within 5mns! Slow service acted or did not know there job or what they were doing always had to go ask how to do there job the eggs was over cooked not to bad to send back but the over easy shouldn't look like your left it on the grill and forgot about it the yoke was almost completely hard and the hash browns was raw 'eww grows' I don't expect perfection but raw with the hash browns were slightly browned on one side not even close to the whole side . The kids complained that there food was cold and soggy but before you could catch the waiter from going in the back to say something so they eat it since they were hungry and didn't want to have to wait since we only saw the waiter when he drop the food off and once he saw most of the food was gone,really disappointed in this Denny's. Came to Denny's for a late breakfast. First of all, we were greeted immediately upon walking in the door. This was the first time I had been here and was looking around and was surprised at how quickly we were greeted and seated. We were given the option of booth or table. Several of both were occupied and I noticed there were also bar seating for those that come in alone or to wait for a friend. The windows faced west so there was plenty of natural light without any blinding sunlight reflecting off of anything. The table and seating were clean, no crumbs or sticky spots on the seating as is often the case in places that serve syrup. After browsing the menu I decided on the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The others in my group chose the French toast and the Crazy Spicey Skillet. I also ordered a Raspberry Iced tea. This was the best Raspberry Iced tea I have had in over a year! Our food came out relatively quickly and everyone agreed that all the dishes were delicious. As the other patrons left, I noticed that several had children. The waitress went to clean the tables soon after they left. At one table a sippy cup had been left behind and she took it quickly out to the parking lot to try and catch the family. Several moments later a stuffed animal had been left behind and again, the waitress hurried to the front to see if she could catch them. I was impressed by this level of caring and trying to take care of the customers above and beyond the call of duty. I was surprised that I was able to eat all of my food (it looked like a LOT) but the meat was very tender and the fries were just right. One person in our group asked for a box to take home food and it was brought right away. I will certainly keep this on my list of options when asked to go out to eat. read more

A friend and I decided to come to Denny's for breakfast and when we walked in we received less than welcome looks and were disregarded to be seated for 10 minutes. The building was clearly older and could use some attention. After we were seated it was an additional 30 minutes before receiving menus then 30 minutes before our waitress came to take our order. After so it was 40 minutes before we received our food. Our food so not only uncooked (hash browns, eggs, pancakes, etc.) but the toast and english muffin was burnt. Upon eating the hash browns I found multiple strands of hair, and while eating the pancakes a black string was inside. Getting pancakes right is not working at the Casper store, there not quite done! The manager says they cook them to Co. standards at 2 min per side. That may work ok at low altitudes, Casper is at 5500 feet above sea level,, cooking time needs to be increased! Cooking at High Altitudes 1. Air pressure is lower, so foods take longer to cook. Temperatures and/or cook times may need to be increased. 2. Water boils at a lower temperature, so foods prepared with water (such as pastas and soups) may take longer to cook. Temperatures and cook times may need to be increased. My comments; (cooking pancakes) The 2 min the company uses may be ok at 500 ft above sea level. Casper is 5500 ft above sea level! (pancakes will take longer!) I like Denny's the servers are friendly, even to this old fart!, they put up with me. ;-)) read more

Horrible service! Ordered French toast and it came out 15 min. Before my actual meal, the French toast was cold, the butter on it wouldn't even melt. The eggs I ordered came out raw still, luckily for them raw eggs are good to me, the bacon was pre-cooked store bought bacon.
