Had the absolute BEST experience at Sherrie's Place! The chicken fried steak was next level. It was crispy, flavorful, and HUGE (like...bring your appetite HUGE). Every bite was perfection and easily one of the best I've ever had. But honestly, what made this place unforgettable was the staff. The wait team was beyond phenomenal, genuinely kind, attentive, and the kind of people who make you feel like you've been coming there for years. You just don't find that level of warmth everywhere anymore. At first, the seating felt a little close together, but it quickly turned into part of the charm. From the charming little diner-style restaurant to the perfectly cooked eggs and hamburger patty (fabulous coffee, too) to the outstandingly kind, folksy, attentive service - this place is a total GEM. It was super busy, but they moved people along really well and had a little seating area (some seating outside too) for those who were eagerly awaiting a table to enjoy a fabulous breakfast at Sherrie's Place! Stopped by on our way back to home in Powell, Wy. My wife had Ham and Eggs, I had the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. I will say be hungry portions were wonderful, I brought 1/2 of the Chicken Fried Steak home with me lol, waitstaff stayed on top of coffee and making sure everything was as requested. If you in Casper or passing through this is the spot for a great start to the day. read more

We found the wonderful place through yelp and were treated to a delicious breakfast. We arrived and yes the place is crowded, but I look at this as a good sign. A nice gentleman offered his table to have breakfast with him. I accepted and was please to hear his stories. John is a regular here and knew most of the people in the restaurant. Such a nice addition to an already delicious breakfast. My wife had the spicy vegetable skillet and I had the French toast with eggs and bacon. Portion sizes would very large and the staff, although busy was very attentive. We purchased a cinnamon roll to go and I would highly recommend that! It is huge! More than enough for two. I stopped by Sherries around 8am by myself and was seated promptly. Note there is not a lot of seating, and by the time I left there was a decent line of customers waiting to be seated. The inside is very cute with diner vibes! Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful. My food came out very quickly, probably 10-15 minutes? Great food and service. Very busy place and well worth waiting for a table. Sherri (owner) seated us and told us about their breakfast specials and variety of fresh baked cinnamon rolls. Sherri's witty staff were very chatty and joked around with the customers including us. Sherri stopped by our table after breakfast and asked if we were in town to go fishing (which was true). Sherri loves to fish and pointed out her decorations which consisted of fishing paraphernalia. We ordered two cinnamon rolls to snack on while we read the menu. They were large, fresh, warm, and delicious (pecan roll. Peaches and cream roll). I had the ranchero skillet, the other guys had various combinations that included biscuits and gravy. All four of us were very satisfied. All their portions are very large including the cinnamon rolls. Great price to value ratio. Can't wait to return someday for breakfast again and try lunch too. read more

This is one of my go to spots for breakfast, as food is great. Also Sherry and her staff do a great job at making everyone feel welcomed. I mostly order the homemade biscuits and gravy, as they are the best in town. Also the their hash-browns are served golden brown and cooked perfectly. Loooved this place. Have been traveling 9 days throughout South Dakota and Wyoming. This is the stop you can't miss! Service was above and beyond. The owner was kind, Sherri herself made a personal greeting. We happened to go on free fry bread Friday. Amazing! We also got dessert pies half off. Pie called chocolate mint cookie dough peanut butter. Wow! It was fantastic! Had our teenage son ordered the chicken fried steak without knowing anything. Waiter gave our son some encouragement in trying to finish, and when he brought out the huge plate of chicken fried steak we realized what he got himself into. I've been wanting to try Sherrie's for such a long time but their limited hours sure makes it hard! Fortunately, I finally found the time to go one weekday morning and am glad that I finally got to try it. It definitely has a very mom and pop feel and the waitress was very sweet. After perusing the menu, I decided to try the chorizo skillet (chopped chorizo cooked in hash browns with green peppers and onions, topped with two eggs covered with green chili). It came with a side of toast (they have a lot of toast options such as sourdough and rye) or pancake or tortilla. I also ordered a cup of coffee which was promptly refilled throughout my meal which I really appreciated. I had read reviews about the giant portions but I was still surprised when my food was brought out because it was enough food for at least 2 (or in my case even 3) meals. However the meal I decided on really wasn't good when eaten as leftovers. The food was good and the prices are definitely reasonable considering the amount of food you get. This is a brunch place worth trying at least once. read more

Road trip from The Hole to Chicago led us through Casper, and we yelped for the best brunch spot and up popped Sherries Place. Yelpers did not disappoint! We hope to come back again to this family run, phenomenal restaurant. The Gorgeous Blonde had corned beef hash, eggs and sausage. I had chicken fried steak with two eggs. Both were COLOSSAL sized servings....we each took leftovers that lasted the rest of the way to Shiraq. On top of that, we had to order one of their Cinnamon Rolls with nuts, which we just now are finishing. The QUALITY of the food was fantastic, the quantity mind blowing. Ironically, the crowd in the restaurant was primarily fit & healthy looking, not obese like we so often see in soft America. These people work hard and work off the large meals. And they're good singers too as they all sung for the owners birthday when we were there. I'm heading to the gym! Keep it up, Sherries. read more

As an out-of-town traveler, I was quickly made to feel at home and very welcome at this sweet little homestyle diner that is not to be missed! I have never had chicken and fried steak in my life but I tried it because they are known for it and it was definitely worth it! I also loved everything being homemade and flavorful. You should also see the desert and pie list! They tell you to save room for it and I'm not sure how that's possible but I did find room in a to go box for a wonderful piece of coconut cream pie! I'm saving that for later! This service is outstanding, as is the value. You can really tell the employees, and owner, take a lot of pride in what they do there! There is a lot of passion there in creating good home style food and serving people well. It's palpable! I wish every business had this philosophy an attitude! I'm really glad I stopped here. It's the exact small town feel and delicious food I was craving. If my travels take me back to Casper I'll definitely return. read more

Definitely a MUST STOP to visit for breakfast!! Classy country appearance is your first approach to Sherrie's. We were Immediately welcomed by friendly staff amongst a very busy small diner setting. My husband and I were quickly seated& served our drinks. The OJ tasted freshly squeezed - delish! The breakfast couldn't have been anymore perfect and fairly priced !! The gravy for the biscuits was light and fluffy, as were the biscuits. The pancake nearly melted in your mouth - ugh just delicious cooking & and great service! read more
